Shaking my head here..finishing Shar's photo album..now what would possess a person to say they'd make something painted for an individual who taught art in school and who paints...must have been thinking something other than what I am right now..almost tempted not to send it...

It's not primitive and not realistic, judy some strokes, but fit the top of the album...what to do/what to do???

I am WONDERFUL!!! Went to bed with a smile, and woke up with one too!!! I am so glad I found my smile again and so is DH!! I am going to take about a week and recuperate from everything, then I am going to start submitting resumes like a mad woman!!

Decided that because I'm going to be away for the next few days starting after work tomorrow that I should pick up my mail...OMG, had beautiful cards wishing me good health, even one from France..imagine that...AND/AND

Our Bev send me seeds galore for the friendship garden, going to prepare a little area just for her seeds..now if that wasn't enough, she made me a beautiful beaded pot hanger and cross..Bev sweetie thank you, know how much effort in making the two items it took but even more to collect all those seeds..many of which I did not have...

Oh happy days....

My second best of today, getting my call from John's Sewing to tell me my machine is ready for a mere $185.00, know it sounds a lot but a lot less than he thought it might..now just wait, when I went into his shop at the door was the most unusual unit, looked like wood with all kinds of indents 'v''s, 1/2 circles, lines etc. so I had to ask him what it was...price tag said $1,295.00..now he tells me it was made by Janome, your machine somehow fits within and makes a long arm quilter and the rest I'm not sure how it works, he says he has sold many in the area....going to give me a demo next time I'm in and we both have time, who knows, even after the bad start we may end up being best buds..lol

3rd. best, hmmm another trip to the garden galery, wanted photo of the canvas that I so like, my camera does not do it justice but it will give you an idea...

See in the bottom of the photo the little sunflower girl..almost came home with one, they are in each color display, couldn't make up my mind, yellow or red..you see you can get signs, floormats, birdhouses etc all to match...but, that will be another day...the other side of the yellow display

Now look at this pretty display of frogs..a few as well would look nice in my garden...OMG better go back to eating..lol..

Could I leave without something...I'm shaking my head no..bought some lemons/limes that look so real, always makes a kitchen look fresh so 5 had to come home with me..you know me and pretend food...then they had a discount table..a pot of yellow flowers begged to come home with me..reg. $39.99 on for $7.50..thought I could throw a dead one out and replace it with this...color suited the little cafe so why not...

OK so maybe I have a 4th best...excited about meeting our Debbie on Friday..jumping up and down...

Then to put icing on the cake, Stacey is smilling, a new day, a bright new future..how wonderful..Stacey, something crossed the border today..lol...wonder what..is it a 7 mystery Swap or could it be a Valentines Day pressie, or just something to say 'hi'???? lol

Laura, you also sound on an 'up' that's got to be another best..to hear you sounding like your old self...funny, sent something to my girlfriend Liz in England, my regular post office lady was off, the other girl sent it out, only to find out it went 'surface' mail, now 'surface'mail means boat..she was laughing because when I sent you something it took over 3 months as it took the slow boat to China first..she laughed at that..so, guess Liz has a long wait..posted it Dec.27th.. so perhaps by Easter she will have her Christmas gift...

Trisha, any news yet...praying here that they get the house! Hope Laura is feeling better...

Got to deliver my Valentine Swap in Person!!

I don't have time to catch up tonight, I've got to get to bed at somewhat of a decent hour, but here's what happened today. I'll read everyone's posts tomorrow morning before I start working at work LOL

Here's the scoop at the dr, my temperature is 98.6, my blood pressure is 120/80, my oxygen is 98%, my white blood cell count is on the number that is ideal for a 36 year old woman, he pushed on my gallbladder, no pain even though he was trying to tell me there was, he pushed on all of my guts, no pain even though he was trying to tell me there was, he told me he thinks it's either a virus, bacteria, or a simple case of the runs, which is what he decided to treat and prescribed Imodium because that's what people take who have this problem, even though I told him I have NEVER had this problem and it is definitely NOT normal. So I decided that I will take what he said, hopefully he's right since there is a ton of different viruses going around right now, and if I'm still having problems next week I'll go see the dr who did the appendectomy or a dr who specializes in gastritis or whatever it's called.

Now I have something else disturbing. We got a new neighbor in what should be a condemned trailer across the street. They've been there about a month now, well he decided he was going to come over and make friends with Dave this afternoon, waking him up of course. They guy first asked if Dave had seen anyone go into his property and slash one of his tires. Then went on to say that he saw Dave leave for work last night at 8:45 and was wondering if anyone was home (what is he doing looking over here, he's catti-cornered from us and we can barely see his trailer from our front yard.) He said he's a preacher at a church that a lot of Dave's relatives happen to go to, so Dave started naming all of these names and he didn't know anyone and changed his story to he works in Little Rock on Graveyard too, but wouldn't say where. He's going to have his daughter and her kids move in, it's a 1 bedroom singlewide with him and his wife. He said this trailer is his dream home even though it's full of mold and mildew. Dave told him that there is no crime down here and all of the women and 99.9% of the men have very sharp aim and aren't afraid to shoot, plus I work for the State Prosecutor LOL! Dave told him the only crime we have is from the people who live in that trailer he lives in, so his address is on the sheriff's records as a "trouble house." The couple has been there about a month, he's already had to have the ambulance out plus he called the cops about his slashed tire. Dave's afraid to leave me alone now since I don't really know how to shoot a gun, I have shot before but it's been a long time and in a shooting range with things over my ears. I guess I should go get a small gun but big enough to do some damage. I know a 9mm Glock is too heavy for me lol! Here we go again!

The last neighbors who lived there had 2 pit bulls, they let them run loose and they got into my next door neighbors dog pin two different times, the first time injured the beagle, the second time they killed the beagle and one of the yellow labs, the wife next door heard the second dog fight, went out with her gun, shot and killed one of the pits and injured the other one in the shoulder. The neighbors moved when they started going to court over the vet bills.

I'm sorry to hijack but I needed to vent.

I'm not trying to stereotype or offend anyone. We live about 15 minutes from the nearest town. Why would some random person go way out in the sticks, pick this one house on a dead-end 1 lane road, walk up this long driveway and slash someones tire? I don't believe that's the reason he came over here.

Crissy, besides what I said earlier about getting a good shotgun, I would recommend you call tell the Sheriff what you told us about this guy.....he definitely sounds like someone they need to keep an eye on.......and you are right not to believe anything he says. Stay safe.

Hello To ALL: Thank you so much for the kind words and stories that put everything into perspective, Betty, Anjul, and one other (I'm sorry - I just read everything and didn't make notes as to Who). At any rate the girls are now answering more to DH because I could NOT be the only "Bad Gal" in their life. Their Biological parents (DH and his ex) never taught them manners, or anything. It was up to me and I failed so I'm just working it all out at this point. No support from DH...who "takes the Path of No Resistance" (quoted from our Therapist) and never notices anything. But I love him and he does have some wonderful qualities. Crissy - your instincts are busy at work and you do have reason to be on alert....trust your gut. You sound like me....wanting so much to believe in people...and thinking that everyone is trustworthy and honest... that you doubt yourself when the "alarms go off". But they are going off for a reason. Happy to see all of these Get Togethers. This thread must be pretty old and have much history. I am lucky to feel welcomed in here as I do. Thank you all for that !!! Best of this week: I am reuniting with old friends after a "Hermit" stage caused by Mom's passing. "Worst" well - it's my job but I am keeping a good humor about it and trying to keep it in perspective. What I've learned. "When you have the luxury of knowing that everything will be okay regardless....it's the people you come in contact with that matter. " I hope I worded that correctly. they spotted a mountain lion walking the residential area, a man caught it on film omg its bad enough skunks lurking around but to think of this kind of animal around make one feel quite uneasy, lol here i go again so if you hear on the news about the kook in california who shot a lion in the yard yep, yep yep it was me:)

Liz,you and critters, I experienced you hip hop..ing around when we were at Judy's can imagine what you'd do if you came across a mountain lion...and yes, my machine is ready, will pick it up at lunch...think they tell you all the different negative possibilities and the cost so that when they tell you that the bill is $185.00 you actually get excited about it...lol - be glad to get it back, feel lost without it...learned a lesson though, going in search of a cheap machine to do all my garbage sewing..

I am just one happy gal-still have to write a letter of grievance and send it to corp, but the fact that I never have to see or speak with my boss again makes me giggle with excitement!!

I do have a lot of stuff that I need to do in addition to putting in resumes. I have to do:
spring cleaning
put away Xmas decor
seed starting(have a Kmart gift card for $25-going to get a shelf with it)
organizing my seeds
reorganizing my craft area
craft my heart out
still hoping for a trip to Betty's
make a list of all home projects, then go and get samples and price everything so we have a rough idea of cost and can prioritize

so I am sure I will keep VERY busy!! ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ -that is me all the time now!!
