Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Oh...Stacey...are you sure you want to stay for the two weeks? Sounds like it will be awful there....What a witch....oops, wrong starting letter....

Coushatta, LA

Thanks Trisha.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

I'm here for a bit... been taking the opportunity today to work on a pressie for my valentine swap buddy... almost finished with it.
Then, I laid down to take a nap, because I could hardly hold my eyes open any longer... couldn't go to sleep, but I did rest a while.
But, it's time to put the Beer Butt Chicken on to cook for dinner.
Still don't know what time I need to pick Mike up from Track this evening... so, I'm guessing we'll have dinner around 6:00 instead of 5:00... sheesh... I really didn't know what a creature of habit I had become until all this happened in our lives.

Love your parrot LK...

Rose Girl, you were a very pretty woman in 2002... wonder what you look like now... I bet your just as pretty, because maturity just makes us better... just like wine, we getter better with age... Please show us a NOW picture.

Ok, I'm off to the kitchen...

Coushatta, LA

BJ,thank you so much.

I SENT YOU A DMAIL.THAT IS WHAT I LOOK LIKE NOW.That picture was taken last Dec.

Hi ladies!
There's one word that would be perfect in describing Kel, but I won't use it here! Lol!!

Sis Deborah, he's been in pain for so long, hip, knee and elbow joints. His work involve constant heavy lifting daily, and I'm tired of hearing his complains and not doing nothing about them. Practically had to bulldoze him out of the house. So, he agreed to take a shot for his most troubled area.

My sister sent "Percutalgine", an anti-inflammatory liquid that comes in vials, where you apply on affected areas. That helps a lot but only when he remembers to do so. And those anti-inflammatory meds, just upset his stomach more. Maybe I'll have some peace, now?

LK, I'm in love with Paco!! Would love to have one here, but it will end up as one of the cats' meal!

Stacey, I am glad you're out of that soul-less, Godless work place. That letter only makes my blood boil!!

Lisa2, Thank you! I got the box!!!! Haven't look through it yet, but will and don't worry about mags.. I'll get one myself! Love ya!

I'll take some beer butt chicken BJ!!

Gonna fix lunch for myself.. grilled tofu anyone?
BRB.

Coushatta, LA

I will be back later ladies.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

I sent an email to Corp and to her boss-giving them an opportunity to fix it or tomorrow will be my last day-I am also printing, sending everything to my home email, so that I have prrof when I submit my unemployment claim for harassment and a hostile work environment-as mom said-my boss is a dumb woman that doesn't realize she keeps digging her hole deeper and deeper....so my grievance email will be sent to anyone and everyone that will listen-tee hee hee hee

DH says on my last day it is time to break out the bubbly and run around naked and frolicking for joy!!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

hehehe... You go right ahead, Fairy Bunns... You and DH enjoy the bubbly and nakedness... you've earned it...
And, yes... keep everything written, and send it to everyone who will listen and take heed... Corporate should pay attention.

Jaye... come and get it... but hurry... Don and I can usually devour a whole chicken by ourselves... but I'll be sharing my part with Mike... I usually save one of the breasts for a sandwich the next day anyway... Don eats all the dark meat pieces. Ya know, for a man that's not so big, he can really pack it away... I don't know where he puts it all.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Passing my plate for chicken and for tofu......now you know why I need to lose weight:(

Hang in there Stacey..continue to keep close track of it all.....we will all dance around and have some bubbly for you.....think We will stay dressed however....wouldn't want to scare anyone!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

I just went back and re read the letter from Stacey's boss....

Is "conversate" even a word?

Sugar Valley, GA(Zone 7b)

Unfortunately it is used now, in some circles...Proper English would have been, converse or have conversations with...

I was looking at all of the typos and missed punctuation... LOL
And this person is a Supervisor???? Geeeeesh!!!!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

I found it hard to read and understand with all the typos and missed punctuation too... had to re read some parts to try to understand what she was trying to say...
I agree... if I had typed that when I was supervising a staff of office workers, I would have been demoted or fired on the spot...

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Yes, she is sadly my supervisor-I copied and pasted it right out of the email-ya know the funny thing-the email has spell check!!LOL I am raising cane-you reap what you sow, and what goes around comes around and all that good stuff!!

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

You go, little girl!!!

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

What Audrey said......ditto!!!!

Sugar Valley, GA(Zone 7b)

Yeah... Triple Dittttttto!!! If Corporate knew just how bad she is...Hmmmm...Ya think???

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Oh, I have been on the phone with them too-tee hee hee hee

Sugar Valley, GA(Zone 7b)

Forward her typo challenged note to them....

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

It's obvious that letter is a retaliation letter. Calling Stacey out in a memo for all employees to read is a no no in the HR world.

This message was edited Feb 2, 2009 6:13 PM

Sugar Valley, GA(Zone 7b)

I agree completely Deborah...It is unconscionable...It shows her lack of management skills not to mention her spitefulness coming out that Stacey had already mentioned...

Coushatta, LA

Jaye, how is Kel feeling?Hope he is getting better.

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Reading that letter this is what it's telling the other associates: because of Stacey's (emotional) resignation (she must have told how lack the boss is (and who has been a perfect angel in allowing so many privledges, now everyone will have to pay the price since the boss is going to start playing hard ball. All because of Stacey called her hand. Retaliation is the full sense of the word. Unemployment benefits would be awarded. The boss creates a hostile work environment.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

I will say I have worked for a few people in my life that were real Horses Behinds (and I consider that an insult to the Horse) but I have never had managers who acted that poorly!! Do the Powers That Be pay ANY attention to what goes on in their work places??? Just hang on to the evidence sweetie, give her a little bit more rope cause she has just about hung herself.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

I did forward it-do you want to see what I sent after I forwarded the emails??

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Of course!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

I know that you will not see this until tomorrow, but I would really like to know what to expect from the rest of my time here. If my staying here is making it worse, then I won't come in anymore. I was trying to do the responsible thing and did not want to up-end Jenna in the process any more than I had to. There is a lot I handle here at the office that she doesn't know how to do. It is going to be a challenge to show her everything at DAA in one day, but that is a big reason that I stayed-to teach her things. But, my understanding of that email is that Jennifer wants Jenna to ask her ?? and not me.

I am not sure if you spoke w/ Jen this am, but she did actually say thank you when I rescheduled her appt. this am for Lay-Z-Boy since Haley has pink eye......

I saw that email as being directed at me, and while I know it wasn't explicitly written that way, when I have a 5 min personal convo with a worker about the stimulus pkg on Fri and get this email today.....and all the times I am expressly named??

Also, I had a denial of part of my shift from Wed. She put that I couldn't stay after to make up for the time I was late-I DID NOT do that-we are open til 7 on Wed due to GDAA running late to pay workers. The workers that day did not get bak into the office until 7pm-by the time I got them paid, the day closed and was able to clock out it was 7:12-I was not asked about the time, an assumption was made and stated.....making up for late time was also stated in the email.

"Do not create negative morale by sharing your personal issues with Labor Ready or its respective authority figures, your coworkers, or temp workers." So is this directed at me talking to you and Jenna about her?? And the fact that I had workers asking me on Wed why I was crying??

I just feel like the harassment continues.....

I would really like to speak to you, I will have my cell phone on & on me tomorrow at the auction-I know you have the BM meeting, but would appreciate a little of your time.

I sent that to her boss and to corp. THis is what I sent with the email that I forwarded up to corp. B4 the above one:

This is the email I came in to today-I am not trying to be funny, but the reason I am quitting is due to harassment and working in a hostile work environment-is this what I have to look forward to for my remaining 7 days left?? She left for the day due to her baby having pink eye. I copied and pasted it so she wouldn't see the forward..I am working on my email, but when I get home it is hard as I am so emotionally and mentally exhausted, that I have no desire to relive all of the unpleasantries. I will say that after I sent my resignation, my DM did call me and we talked for about 45 mins. He since then has also called the other CSR here, Jenna Lower. I did tell Jenna that you may be calling her, so she knows to expect it if you want to call her. If I can finish out my remaining time without further incident, that is great. But I can not be exposed to this on a daily basis. The harassment and hostility has to stop someplace.

How do you like them apples-I like to sound like I am NOT collecting a ton of data to secure my unemployment claim-tee hee hee

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Way to go Stacey! Let us know what the response is. I would also call OSHA. They have a say so in the time alloted for lunch breaks and such!
LK

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

You did good! Try to hang in there!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

I will, but MI doesn't have any laws for breaks and meal periods..

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Stacey... you did great... if you don't get Corporates attention with that, then they don't care... and you're better off away from the bunch of them anyway.

I agree with the other girls... you've been called down publicly in that email to everyone. And there are Laws against that...
Are you sure about the lunch break laws? I believe every state has labor laws, and no state would expect a worker to work 8 hours without a meal break.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

I have looked it up for my workers-in MI the only meal and break laws are for those under the age of 18....

I do have my folder of fodder thought;) All that dumb b&%$# is doing is digging herself deeper;) The lady from Corp did say that it is about time the legal team stepped in...

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Stacey is right. Very few states put it into writing on mandatory breaks. It's all up to the employers to 'voluntarily' make provisions.

Niece, someone's digging her own grave... you're handling it right.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Hmmm... I did not know that...
The more I learn, the more I find I still need to learn... I think someone smart said that once, but I can't remember who.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Well It is mandatory here........

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

You are very lucky Trisha.
"" There are only 7 states (as of February 2006: California, Colorado, Illinois, Kentucky, Minnesota, Nevada, Oregon and Washington) that have laws requiring that employers give their employees rest breaks.""

Quoted from this site. http://www.ehso.com/cssdol/dolbreaks.php

The rest of the states should do the same. Luckily, most employers understand the necessity for breaks.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Jaye, That is so hard to imagine...............but then there are still a LOT more changes that need to be made in this country....

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Stacey, you can not only slam her with those emails, but also personally file suit again her for harassment, loss of pay, stress, you have to quit your job because of her (it's called something but I don't know what), and a few other things. You could have her ass in a meat grinder if you want to. Go see Judge Judy! LOL!

It's also illegal for her to allow you to do that on your time card. You're just the innocent employee who is just doing what your manager suggests.

There are state labor laws and Federal labor laws. It's Federal law that companies are required to give lunches, but I don't know what website to go onto to find out, OSHA is just mainly talking about safety in the workplace. There's a free consultation with an attorney lol! Make em work! Remember Jaye, that was 3 years ago and a lot has changed. LOL When I read it I was thinking that 2006 was just last year, like we just got done with it! That's bad!

What a cute bird! Polly want some coffee?

Coushatta, LA

Crissyr, you are talking about LK'S bird Paco.

My bird is polly.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

What a day for all. Tink, so sorry about all the problems but I am right there with the other supporting you with this. Hugs big time!!!!

Hectic day here, haven't been grocery shopping int 2 weeks and so that was my agenda for the day. Did some long over due errands while I was out. Kim has been picking up what things we have needed like milk. bread, etc as we are trying to clean out the freezer to refill this summer with veggies.

She is still down with the "crud" and fever. Not today either!! Not much voice so pretty useless in a class room and definitely not with the fever. I am suppose to go to Gaineville for a meeting with the group doing the program and then on to my Mom's for her birthday on Wednesday--90!! Will have to reassess that when I get up.

Trisha your Mum is right about the shots!!! Not fun but does bring relief so one does tolerate them. The last ones I had was over a year ago for my wrist--5 yr. April for my knee but thinking may have to have some soon for the knee. Tell Kel good luck with his, Jaye.

Take care all, Hang in Tink!! No one should be subjected to that type behavior in the workplace.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Marion, I thought you were glued to your machine!! I finally got the rest of the fqs and will try to get them out tomorrow. He already had a cortisone shot, and that was for his elbow. This time he needs it bad for his hip.. wished the doc agreed to give it in his derriere like I suggested!!!!!!!!!!

Cody, I hope you're not lurking! You need your rest!!
Well, I'm off to bed, cya'll tomorrow!
