LOL!!!!!Trisha,Polly is tamed. He was hand feed as a baby before we got him.He still loves to eat out of your hand.If it was up to him he would stay out of his cage and wants to be on your shoulders all day long.He hates to go back in his cage.He pecks at me when he knows it's time to go back in the cage.He is very spoiled and rotten.

Well good night and sweet dreams.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

He sounds like a really sweet bird Cody.....that sounds like Spike, that was Peetie's dad....he was always out and wanted to be a part of everything that was going on.

Good night....sleep well.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Morning all.

Couldn't sleep so here I am catching up! Just wanted to say that Kyle will be coming home with his mama and he is out of NICU. :O) So happy that he is doing well...Thanks again for all your prayers.

I didn't realize it was groundhog day. I saw it in the voting forum, but I can't vote yet cause it's still pitch black out! I could have been second, too! Resin in the UK had already voted.

Okay, need to catch up on a couple other threads. Have a great day Sistahs and Nieces!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone. Pretty birds.
I was in the parking lot of hobby lobby the other day, and a lady was going into the store with a beautiful white cockatoo onher arm. I had to stop, and that bird carried on the conversation with us. Ask us what we were doing? How are you. See you later. It knew how to talk very well.
Kathy, hope your feeling better. Take care of that incision.
Bj, glad you had a good time with the crowd.

Here is coffee for ya. help yourself.
LK

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Morning ladies...
I'm so sorrry, I just skimmed the thread all weekend, and really lost track of the conversation... I'm so bad... I've tried to catch up this morning, the there's not enough coffee in the world that would give me enough speed to know whats really going on... SORRY SISTAHS...

I did read that Cookie's new grandson had a rough start, and is fine now... TTL... I'm so happy for you, Joyce... he's beautiful.

I also see where Jaye gave the crud to Kel... shame on you.

And Kathy saw the doc about the oozes... and I'm hoping the new meds do the trick... will keep you in my prayers.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Cathy!!! a little late, but, better late than never, huh?

BIRDS... We had 14 parakeets while I was growing up... all at different times... they were all named "Perky"... and when I was very young, I would see a bird somewhere and thought it was a Perky. Some of our Perkies talked, some didn't. Four of our Perkies committed suicide by flying into a mirror. Three of them flew away, usually because someone forgot they were on their shoulder when they went outside. Usually, they just died of natural causes, or so I was told...
My son now owns a solid gray and white cockateil... they're best friends... but "Curly" doesn't utter a word... not that he hasn't tried to teach him to talk... he just doesn't say anything... he does have sounds that we've figured out what he means... One sound when he is calling Danny, a different sound when he sees me, and he squalks really loud when he thinks it's time for Danny to get up in the morning... as soon as he hears him up, he shuts up... it's sooo funny. He has other sounds for other things, and Danny knows what they all mean... I don't.

I'm so sorry if I missed anything important, please forgive me.

I love you all.

Ferndale, AR(Zone 7b)

Happy Ground Hog day!

Hope Kel is feeling better today.

Cookie, that little guy is the most handsome thing. He looks strong to me. Glad to hear he's going home!

Cathy, have to give you credit for being brave - wanting to have a parrot after having your nose nearly bitten off. I'd be too afraid of them.

Great game last night. Didn't really have a dog in the hunt, but was sort of pulling for Arizona just because they were underdogs and Kurt Warner is such a good guy (have you read about him on Snopes.com?). Great half time show.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Happy Groundhog Day!

Going to be busy today, I'm the only one answering the phone, usually there's 4 of us so I'll see ya'll later!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good morning sweet ladies!
Yah, Debra, Kurt Warner's a great guy. More pros should emulate his generosity. He sure didn't forget where he comes from.
BJ, we all know your time is not yours anymore! Nothing to apologize for.
Gonna haul Kel to the doctor. He needs a cortisone shot for his hip. So far his tummy has eased up.
Happy Groundhog Day :D
BBL...

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Morning All,

Spent all day in my hobby room going through old craft magazines and tossing out what I don't need anymore. Saw the last quarter of the game. Unbelievable lol. I don't watch football but that was interesting to see.

Going to PO mail out Valentine swap pressie, then back in my room to make candles. Will be checking in off and on....^_^

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

i went to the doc. friday. he opened my incision up, drained it, took a culture, gave me more antibiotics and pain med. and said see you wednesday. rest, no lifting or hopusework. he said house work was a haed full time job.
garbage bread is pizza dough rolled out, fill it with cheese, mushrooms, pepperoni, capicola, salami, ham, onions,, and peppers. fold the edges and bake it. yummy!

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Sounds like Kel could think of other things to be doing instead of going to the doc, hey Jaye? If Larry goes, it would be more like a knock out and a haul. LOL

OK, on the super bowl commericals, Who saw the $3,000,000 one second bud light commerical besides me? They commerical leading up to it for several days was about a slacker employee coming up with all these one second spots and couldn't believe they'd pay that much for it. Well he made his debut when all it said with throwing his hands in the air, " Bud Light!". It was quick, did you see it?

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

I'm glad you went to get it checked Kathy. I'm surprised he didn't leave a tube in for drainage. They may just leave it open now. I had one back in '72 with a drainage tube. If those incisions heal over with infection present you got yourself a world of hurt with an absist. (yall know I can't spell)

Marion, you hit the nail on the head! Men are whimps when it comes to colds and flu. Mine just moans and groans and I turn into his mama.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

No, I missed that one! WOW. So much for 1 second! That has to be a record!

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

I have no idea if the guy in the commerical saying that was a ilgeat amount or not. He pretrayed a slacker extrodinare running his mouth so who knows. But that pre game commerical leading up to super bowl Sunday was the best commerical of all of them shown during the game IMO. I thought both teams played well. Any time a game goes down to the final seconds is a good game to watch. I don't like to watch one sided runaway games. I pulled for the Steelers because we are VERY fond of Hines Ward.

This is what I got when I came in this am:

Our AVP, Steve Ivy, has asked the question, "Why are we allowing CSR's cell phones inside the office, when we're telling the workers it's not allowed on the job?". This to me seems reasonable. If your family has an emergency, they may call the office. You may retrieve your cell phones from your cars on your break if you wish.

I will need you to come back after the auction as well to punch out Stacey. I have verbal reports from workers that you are leaving much earlier than you edit your time clock to reflect.

and then this one:

As of Wednesday the schedule is being switched. Due to Stacey's pronounced refusal to be reliable when it snows, she will need to start at 9:30 except on Wednesday and close. Jenna will need to open at 5:30 until I hire and train a new CSR as we discussed.

If you are late for your shift, you may not make up the time lost without permission. Any unauthorized changes to the schedule will result in a write up.

Check with me before you schedule me out of the office for a customer visit.

Leave cell phones in your car.

Do not conversate socially with the workers on the clock.

Do not create negative morale by sharing your personal issues with Labor Ready or its respective authority figures, your coworkers, or temp workers.

Report directly back to the office after the auction to clock out.

If there is a question about how something is done, ask me.

I was a CSR too.
I will continue to encourage your heart as the branch, customers, district, and even national corporate entities have witnessed I do. I do, however, see that I need to establish limitations in some areas as the freedoms I've previously allowed are not proving beneficial.

Stacey's emotional resignation is excepted.

If you have issues with value, value others and it will return to you. Value those numerous attemts to help you deserve the accolades you've gotten for doing your job. Freedoms at work are hard to come by. You have had many liberties but I have learned this hasn't proven beneficial. I'm prepared to structure your day for you if you are not sure what you are hired to do.

Celebrate and appreciate the wins because from now on you will earn them. Thank you.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Stacey what is a AVP? Who is this from? Her? or the big boss??

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Yep, Jaye... It seems now that Mike's here, he pretty much takes my weekends over... and when Don has days off, he's home during the week... so... life has really changed for me.
This past weekend was a whirlwind, it seems. Friday night Mike played laser tag and go carts with some school friends. Then all day Saturday at the Farm... then Sunday was the Super Bowl Party, and poker...

Today, Mike starts running track after school... so, I'll have to remember everyday to go pick him up... GAWD, I hope I don't forget him.

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Wait until spring and you've got yourself a male strong man in the garden!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Amazing how another family member in the house can change your schedule! But for the better. Hope you are enjoying his time, and all of his learning the american way of life, and you learning his way of life. Lots of difference's there. Wish the kids in the States would take a lesson!
Stacey, that is one nasty letter, telling you, you need to learn more! And her telling you, you need to come back to the office to punch put because your leaving early!
I could not wait for my next 8 days to be over, so I would not have to put up with that C&^%!!!
Take care.
LK

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

And the funny thing is I am not leaving early-when I am done at the auction, I add 1 hr to my tmie, per OUR agreement because I don't get any breaks or a lunch. But now she is acting as if she had no clue about it!!

AVP is the Area Vice President-her bosses boss...

Coushatta, LA

I got it, thanks

Coushatta, LA

your welcome!!!!

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Stacey, doesn't your state have rules about lunch hours and breaks? Check with the Labor Dept. They could get into big trouble for not giving you your breaks and lunch time! Just hang in there and keep your cool! This sounds like your boss' work to me! Ask the big boss before you start coming in late! She could be setting you up! Save all these messages for proof.

I should have known about the Stallions! I've seen them before.

I had a parakeet once and hung his cage from the ceiling. I made the mistake of putting a chair under it! I came home from work and there was bird seed and feathers every where! My cat had gotten on the back of the chair and swung the cage, trying to get him!

Coushatta, LA

Audrey,sorry about your bird.

How is your Kim feeling today?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

This is my double yellow parrot. His name is Paco, and he is about 26 years old now. He says a few words, but only when he wants too.
He loves to share coffe!

At the moment it is 12 degrees here and I am having two men up on my roof taking off the snow and ice. Ice had built up from 4-6" on the edge of the roof and when the sun comes out it melts the ice and it backs up under the shingles on the roof. When I checked my bedroom, at the back of the house, in mid-afternoon yesterday. I was getting water coming through one of the windows. That means the water is either coming in under the siding or through my attic; neither is good! Hope we got it before too much damage has been done.
Guess I will just go back tothe sewing machine and get some work done.

Coushatta, LA

Cute picture LK.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Janice, you gotta be careful of that ice build up. It can do a lot of damage. Hope you caught it in time too.
LK

Coushatta, LA
