Spooks and ghosts and wheeping ladies...oh my Pt 4

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

LOL! Hilarious! I did have a dream last night but don't remember what it was. I was going to remember to tell ya'll, I do remember I was woken up from it with my cat tapping my shoulder with her paw...

(Zone 7a)

Funny, that's how I woke up, too. ☺

Deer Park, IL(Zone 5b)

kwanjin: I can't get a read about you at all-nothing. I can't feel your energy. I can't feel if you are male or female and usually can do this. Are you "heavily armoured" ???? LOL! Only a small select group of people are able to get past me without leaving some type of imprint. This always makes me think that they don't like me or are guarded around me (which is negative to me).

So, Kwanjin, can you help me to understand what I am feeling by answering the following question?

Are you:

A. extremely private
B. distrust me or not mesh with my personality
C. you can "block" very well

Linda

(Zone 7a)

Linda, I spent many years in the retail security business. I've had to be "undercover" and so no one would suspect who I was. After 15 years, perhaps I've learned to "hide" better than I thought. I've had people tell me they had no idea I was there and maybe this is why.

Perhaps the way I write is not helping, either. I had to write reports is a very non-judgemental and straightforward manner.

Deer Park, IL(Zone 5b)

It's not the way you write. Are you male or female? Are you still in undercover work?

(Zone 7a)

Not anymore. I quit back in October. But old habits die hard. ☺ I'm a 49 year old lady with a husband and 2 cats. I have bad feet and a bad back (probably from all the running). I love to garden, watch movies old and new, and this summer will be buying my 1st muscle car.

That's not saying much but it's my life now and I enjoy it. Sipping a cup of coffee in the backyard and watching the birdies at the feeder is much better than chasing down a shoplifter ever was. Don't get me wrong, though. The thrill of the detection and pursuit of the "bad" guy certainly got the adrenaline going and I loved it while I was doing it. I was lucky to have a job for such a long time that I loved.

Deer Park, IL(Zone 5b)

Kwanjin-thanks for sharing about yourself. Okay, what kind of muscle car do you want to get? I am a female car lover as well. I have small kids and a mini van right now but can't wait to get back into what I refer to as a single person's car...

Highland Heights, KY(Zone 6a)

Cool! I used to do body work, and attend car shows! I like the old 'goats'.

Deer Park, IL(Zone 5b)

I have a fondness for cutlass 442's..., 1960-1962 covette's, those cars that you could drive on land and water in the 1960-1970's (there is a club of them in my area and they are too cute and they go out on the lakes around here-cool). I also love Austin Healeys (spelling?) and Astin Martin's old and new... (keep dreaming Mole and play the lottery -right LOL!)

I really like convertibles a lot but the newer ones are better at wind control and I am getting too old and crabby to deal with a lot of annoying wind...

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

I can't stand wind in my face, I never roll the windows down, but love a sunroof, which reminds me I've got to get my car in the shop as my sunroof broke and it should be under warranty.

(Zone 7a)

I'll be getting a Dodge Challenger in Dark Titanium with a black rally stripe. And a sunroof. My Toyota truck has one and I can't live without it! LOL

I had a really weird dream last night. It was very grusome and I won't share it here but I think it was a continuation of a dream from earlier in the week. Yuck!

Amelia Island, FL(Zone 9a)

I've been lurking - with the move and work I just haven't had time to praticipate very much.

I had that buzzing/shocking dream again last night complete with faces of people, screaming people (like they were in pain) or just eyes. And all this in living color.

But it was much worse this time. I was screaming for Jeff and the electrical shocks kept knocking me over and the power to the house went out.

I woke up and reset my alarm clock. I asked Jeff if he remembered it this morning and he looked at me like I was crazy (imagine that).

So apparently I just dreamed the part about the power to the house going out and having to reset my clock.

Needless to say I didn't get up to do my workout this morning because I was exhausted.

Amelia Island, FL(Zone 9a)

I also dreamed about my beloved "little man" kitty Baxter. He died of a lung fungus 1.5 years ago. I miss him terribly.

I dreamed Bax was sitting on the livingroom floor watching me - kind of giving me his "seal of approval" on the new house. When I went over to pet him he faded away.

This is Baxter.

Aww, what a precious baby! Nice of him to visit in your dreams.

Deer Park, IL(Zone 5b)

Sharona: I love the red cats as well-they always seem more friendly as a whole than the other colors...maybe it's just me though. How does a cat get fungus in their lungs? I had a good friend die of something similar suspected from a chlorine gas leak 25 years prior.

Highland Heights, KY(Zone 6a)

Oh, my! A friend of mine is having a lot of breathing problems from inhaling bleach fumes and another disinfectant--they were mixing the two!

Amelia Island, FL(Zone 9a)

MM - The vet said it's due to the climate here, lots of damp mold in the lawns and houses. Doesn't matter how much you pay for a home - mold will get in.
KW - That's not good. Your friend should go to the doctor.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Yes, have they been to they dr Ky? That's scary, why were they mixing the two, did they think it would work better?

Highland Heights, KY(Zone 6a)

She has been under her doctor's care for over a month, and spent a week in the hospital and has an appointment with a pulmonologist coming up. I'm really worried about her. Now her employer is trying to say she's faking it, and even accused her of faking the doctor's excuse! They called the doctor to check, and the doctor was angry, and called Tammy to tell her about the call. She is mortified.
She is the one who has had TAPS come to her haunted apartment because her three year old son has been seeing a ghost there for the past year.

(Zone 7a)

I remember her. Our good thoughts are with her.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Good grief Ky, that's enough to make a person go postal. My thoughts are with her as well.

Highland Heights, KY(Zone 6a)

Thanks, I'm sure she'd appreciate that. It's been so hard for her, especially being a single mother.

Amelia Island, FL(Zone 9a)

That's awful. Sending healing thoughts her way.

Deer Park, IL(Zone 5b)

Was your friend mixing that up AT work-If so that is worker's compensation and she needs it to be indicated on his medical record, in case she gets sick-even years down the road. This is my area of specialty. I worked in the occupational medicine field. If it is worker's comp. the employer does have grounds to request information on the claim as well as asking the patient to be seen by a second and third opinion doctor. Get her/him into the pulmonologist ASAP! I hope she is okay!

I was a swimmer and my coach used to worry about us getting athletes foot and poured in on the deck . We also had a chlorine gas leak once and I was one of 7 that was severely affected. It took me days to breathe normally again. I have scar i=tissue on my lungs from that incident. My coach died in his early 40's from fungus in his lungs and I believe it was from his working at the pool while pursuing a doctorate degree in teaching.

Highland Heights, KY(Zone 6a)

Oh, how awful about your coach, mm! My friend Tammy was unaware that they were mixing the two chemicals and doesn't know who is responsible for doing so. They can't figure out why everybody at work is coughing and two more of them have pneumonia...DUH!! Thanks for the professional advice, I will pass it along.

Deer Park, IL(Zone 5b)

Make sure it is written all over the medical report that this occurred at work and that she never had breathing issues before this incident.

Amelia Island, FL(Zone 9a)

I agree - otherwise major insurance issues

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Kawonkamish,

How is everyone? Seems to be a bit quiet in here. No one's been in here since April.

Well last week, having just settled in bed for the night, my feet were hot, so I had them outside of the sheets. One of my feet was dangling over the side of the bed, when I felt something brush against it. It felt as if it were cloth, like a skirt. Next I sensed a movement, that went around the foot of the bed; it move up to the right side of it, near my head. I got that creepy-crawly feeling; like I was being watched. After a while it faded away.

Well I'll need to go now. I hope everyone's doing well. Bye for now.

Wow! That must've made it difficult to fall asleep.
I haven't had any weird experiences since my door opened by itself and my name was called by some invisible woman.

Deer Park, IL(Zone 5b)

hi everyone-I haven't posted much lately because the weather has improved enough up north here in zone 5a that I can actually garden. About two weeks ago I had a paranormal experience. I kept getting that feeling of someone staring at me. I focused (and it took me awhile to meditate on it because I am out of practice. . .). Anyway, I see images in my mind's eye 99% of the time. What I saw and sensed was a tall, good looking dark haired man, probably someone I once knew who passed away. He felt familiar, kind and possibly some relationship to an old boyfriend from a long while ago. I felt "love" from him. There was a feeling of him wanting to visit for closure like a "last look". I wondered for a time if it might be my father who died 20 plus years ago and maybe it was his last time to visit the living on earth of something. But I am inclined to think he was an admirer from ages ago-but heck my Dad was my greatest fan and I know that I entertained with my antics to no end when he was living. I really had a hard time "knowing who and what this spirit wanted and he made it tough for me to get a good nights sleep. I wasn't frightened just not liking someone staring at me.

(Zone 7a)

Moe, that's strange you should post as I was thinking about this thread yesterday and was wondering if anyone had posted. And here you are!!! LOL I feel "something" touching me regularly. Usually, it feels like a finger tracing a circle and a light brush on my arms or back.

MM and Ky, good to see you back, as well. Somebody's watching you, MM.

Highland Heights, KY(Zone 6a)

LOL, yep, even if it is a benevolent spirit, the feeling of someone watching you is not a good one. I've never felt anything touching me from the 'other side', and that would be really weird. Anytime I feel something on me, it's a bug--normal out here in the woods, lol.

(Zone 7a)

I get those, too! LOL Then that's all I can feel even when they aren't on me anymore.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Kawonkamish,

LOL and ugh... Ky. I'm with kwanjin there... I can't stand bugs on me... shivers.

As I sit here typing... I happened to look over my shoulder into the living room, I don't know why I did, I saw something out of the corner of my eye and turned to look. I saw, in the reflection on the television, a dark shape peek it's head around from behind my Mother's rocking chair. It keeps peeking around and ducking back behind it. As I look at the reflection, I now see some movement near the shadowbox windows. There is now a musty smell, that wasn't here prior to seeing the shadow and movement... hmm. It's awfully quiet; too quiet. All I can here is the ticking of the wall and carriage clocks. I can't even here the birds now. I usually can hear them outside. Strange.

Well I'm off for now; I'm going to scope out the house. Be back later. Please keep posting everyone.

(Zone 7a)

Yes, please keep posting.

Let us know what you find, Moe.

Amelia Island, FL(Zone 9a)

Moe – It’s funny. I do that with my feet and just last night I had this feeling that something wasn’t quite right so I pulled my feet back under the covers.
KY – Now that’s darn scary!
MM - Maybe he was a secret admirer who has passed.
Moe – You left us hanging after telling us that! I’m totally creeped out!

I’ve noticed this lately. Making the bed is either the first or last thing I do before work. Lately I’ve noticed this when I make the bed first. I leave the room, go back and the comforter is scrunched up on Jeff’s side of the bed. We have 3 cats. Sylvester doesn’t like feel of the new comforter on his toes, Callie is too old to jump that high on the bed and Boo follows me all over the house.

Who is making the comforter scrunchy?

Highland Heights, KY(Zone 6a)

A ghost kitty??
Yes, Moe, please let us know you're okay!

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Kawonkamish,

Sorry, I took so long in getting back. I didn't mean to make you all worried. Everything's OK. As I got up to scope out the place, I noticed that the shadow and smell had gone. I checked around and couldn't find anything wonky... no creepy feelings, smells, etc. After checking around I went and made something to eat, then I had to go deal with some emails. Again, I'm sorry to make you worried.

MySharona, a ghostly kitty?... that would be so cool, you wouldn't have to feed it... lol.

Amelia Island, FL(Zone 9a)

and I've been having my creepy weird dreams again.

(Zone 7a)

Glad everything is okay, Moe.

I've been hearing funny things around the house lately and seeing weird things out of the corner of my eye. Not the white cat but something.

Sorry you're having the dreams again, Sharon. But a ghost kitty would be okay, wouldn't it?

Time to move on...
