Quoting:
KyWoods: Wow, what a terrible dream! Did you have them again after those movies came out?

I had the dream for nine years, once a week, up until Terminator came out. Thank goodness I haven't had it since.

As you know from previous posts I currently sleep on the porch, while we fix up my old room. Well, I've heard the footsteps again two nights ago. They started by my Mother's bedroom, moved slowly through the living-room, past the bathroom. It then turned right by the sewing-room, went past my old bedroom and finally came to a stop just beside the porch shadowbox window. I can partially see through the blind canes on the porch and there was no one there.

Yesterday, while my Mother was outside shoveling snow(at 78 she still loves to shovel snow, go figure). Well, while I could hear her shoveling outside, (so I knew where she was) I heard someone walking about down in the basement. I could hear them moving around, picking up and putting things down, then moving off to another area, to do the same thing. This kept going on for almost an hour, while my Mother was outside. Though as soon as I heard her open the backdoor, the noise in the basement stopped. I didn't hear it again for the rest of the day.

Oh, my! I know of someone who set a voice activated tape recorder in a room in which there were strange goings-on, and he captured some interesting voices on tape. Maybe you could do that.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Oh what a good idea! I'd do it!

Amelia Island, FL(Zone 9a)

I think I would have peed my pants LOL!

I wish I had thought about taping when I had my house. I always heard the mans voice, but couldn't make out what he was saying.

...and keep a camera handy. Take photos when ever you "feel" something or if you are in the same area where you hear things.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

I wonder if a camera would pick it up? I took a picture a while back and the light is shining in through the glass at the top of the front door and it looks like an orb, one of the ladies I work with thought it was a real orb, cracked me up!

You can probably do it like those Ghost shows I watch that do tape recordings, digital pics, etc. Ghost Hunters International, TAPS, Scary but True, etc. love those shows.

Thank you, Crissy, for the new thread!!!

I'm still trying to catch up...

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Oh you're welcome

(Zone 7a)

So, I finally succeeded in going back to my dream about mom. It was frustratingly short, though. She smiled and said something but I couldn't understand what it was. Either that or I just don't remember.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

That is so frustrating!

Amelia Island, FL(Zone 9a)

I lost you guys!

This is the dream I had this morning.

This morning after Jeff had left for work and I was alone in the house. I heard someone whisper "wake up". I woke up. It was 5:45. I went back to sleep briefly and I heard "wake up" again and saw Jeff walk through the door. I woke up, freaked out and called Jeff - he was ok and at work.

(Zone 7a)

Whoa...someone wanted you awake. Did someone call right after that or come over?

Amelia Island, FL(Zone 9a)

No - nothing

(Zone 7a)

Huh. Not sure what that means, then.

Amelia Island, FL(Zone 9a)

Me either. I thought maybe Jeff was in an accident on his way to work. Kinda creepy.

Amelia Island, FL(Zone 9a)

I just thought of this...maybe because I woke up and became aware of my surroundings I averted something that may have happened....

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

That's a good possibility. Did he mention any close calls or anything?

Amelia Island, FL(Zone 9a)

No and I specifically asked if he had.

(Zone 7a)

I never thought of that. Years ago my mom averted a possible break-in at her home by waking earlier than usual. She'd had a cold and didn't feel well and got up around 5am. There was a guy outside and, when her lights went on, he ran off.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Well that's a little scary Celia. You may have Sharon.

I had a dream last night of a multi-pastel colored steam engine, like one you would see on Sesame Street or something? I dreamed I was a child and back in my old neighborhood this specific steam engine went "driving" down the road with a cop in front of it and a cop behind it, but something was wrong with it and the cops were saying over their intercoms that the engine was going to blow up and everyone stay inside their houses.

Not the first time I've dreamed that in my adult life.

Amelia Island, FL(Zone 9a)

Well that's different LOL! Did you look up trains? I've had the "cartoon" themes before.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Yea, it's something like what I've seen in a cartoon, like Bugs Bunny or something. I'm going to look it up.

(Zone 7a)

Yeah, let us know. A bit different then any I've ever had.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

I can't find anything on a multi-colored pastel train steam engine. From my imagination it would have been from one of those cartoons from the 20's to the 60's. I'm going to ask around DG to see if anyone remembers a girly engine like this. It had a huge pastel pink smoke stack shaped like a diamond.

(Zone 7a)

There is a train kind of like thatin Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

Or try here...

http://www.kameka.gr/trains.htm

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Kinda like that but on a much larger scale, and the smokestack was huge lol

Amelia Island, FL(Zone 9a)

I started to have my buzzing suffocation dream again last night, but managed to snap myself out of it when I kept hearing Jeff scrape his toenails on the sheets LOL!

I'm really tired of that dream..can we move on?

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Eewww that would have put my teeth into the ceiling, like scraping your fingernails across a chalkboard.

Sharon I'm all about moving on from that dream. How disrupting.

Amelia Island, FL(Zone 9a)

I kept thinking it was Boo playing in a box. I finally got up and saw Jeff's foot moving back and forth under th covers LOL! I think I need to do some foot removal LOL!

(Zone 7a)

LMAO

Darrell does that foot shaking thing. This, combined with snoring can be quite funny.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Dave sleeps on his stomach with his legs crossed, like a cricket. When he turns over on his back he snores. What's bad is he's been working graveyard for quite a while now and I've gotten used to sleeping in that king size bed by myself every night, when he has a night off and comes to bed I don't want him there because he's in my way! Isn't that horrible?

Restless feet? LOL

(Zone 7a)

Yeah, restless feet. He doesn't do it often but it's funny to watch. We're bad.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

LOL I was dating this guy for a few months and he was snoring and it woke me up, so I was looking at him trying to figure out what to do to get him to stop and he Woke Up, saw me "staring" at him, freaked out and broke up with me the next day for that, said he doesn't like anyone to look at him while he's in "his vulnerable state."

Amelia Island, FL(Zone 9a)

OMG - that's so funny! Yuo're much better off without that weenie!

(Zone 7a)

OMG That's too funny.

Highland Heights, KY(Zone 6a)

ROFL, you scared the dickens outta the poor guy just by looking at him? Yeah, you're better off without that one, for sure!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

LOL he said he doesn't like anyone to watch him sleep. I think he's a legend in his own mind. He's married now, to a woman twice his age, wonder if he's ever woke up with her looking at him.

Lost my internet at home, had to come to work to get my fix LOL
