Cathy your daughter is beautiful, love her smile!

This is going to take me forever to post, I'm catching up as I type plus I'm watching Hell's Kitchen. I just love Gordon Ramsay.

Phyllis I am so sorry you lost your beagle. Those are such good loving dogs.

Kim I'm glad you made it safe. I love driving but not in ice.

Cindy neat information. I'll read up on it more later when I'm not so pooped.

Donna it's the market hun. If you don't mind me asking, what type of load do you have? Some of those loans go up when the market goes south, and those were the bulk of the loans the banks and mortgage companies were lending. They sound great, and they are, as long as the market stays good. As soon as interest rates go up, so do your payments and they don't have to notify you.

Jaye it seems you have been sick quite a bit lately, take care of yourself.

Stacey good for you! I'm proud you stood up for yourself and is sticking to it! I wouldn't work for that company anymore. That's a good idea mentioned above about you cleaning the place up, but the problem is, is someone else would gain from it and take the credit for doing it. People are not gracious or thankful anymore, just a bunch of cut throat backstabbers. I know jobs are hard to come by nowadays but you can find something, there are still companies out there that are hiring.

I Had a busy day today, teaching class and work, then Dave was getting ready to go to WalMart when I got home, then to dinner, then back home, and he just left for work and I am here for a few, then off to bed I go! That's all I got for the day, not so eventful lol!

Love the pups by the way!

(Laura) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Though I think right now mom would prefer spin class to the Sunday morning ride.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Ok, before I go to bed I have to tell ya'll the neatest thing happened this evening at WalMart. We go there about every once a week and there is this older looking gentleman who works in the evenings in the produce department. He has helped me a couple of times when I couldn't find bags for my veggies and stupid what-not like that. I haven't seen him in quite a while. This evening we went walking through and I saw his friendly smile and I smiled back, like I always do, but for some reason looked really hard at his name tag this time, his name is Odas. My grandfather's name was Odas spelled the same exact way, I have never seen Odas spelled this way in my life. I just wanted to hug the man but Dave was in a hurry so I walked away. Dave thought I was nuts letting that affect me the way it did and teased me about hitting on another man, but hey! Hopefully the next time I see him Dave won't have to go to work and won't be in such a hurry, or better yet won't even be with me.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Yes. Laura explained it well and yes Dusty and BJ it IS a form of torture as far as I am concerned.....but we get to go out to dinner afterwards....not sure that is really a good thing... But I would much rather do spin class than the ride on Sunday in 34 degree weather!!! I have the exercise part down now if I could just quit eating maybe I'd dump the 20 pounds I have gained back over the past year or two..know I would sure feel a lot better....I don't deal with the extra weight very well....all goes to the face and to the middle.....:(

Jaye, sure worry about ya sistah, please take care and get to feeling better.

Gordon Ramsey......yeah I really like him too Crissy !

Well goodnight to all, know I have missed some, not intentional but I am really tired tonight and think I may turn in early for a change... as Gran always said, see you tomorrow, the Good Lord willin' and the Creek don't rise....didn't make a lot of sense to me as a small child, but these days I now know what she meant. Night everyone. Stay safe and warm.

Coushatta, LA

Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

morning ladies am i the first one here this morning??

Spin class.. Did that once and I agree Torture...lol I cant ride a bke that long and get nowhere...

Dusty I wil get the sizes together for the twins and send you an email.. They are girls to be 11 on April 1st and they are just like their daddy tall and thin..

Jaye I hope your day today is better.. Never fun not feeling well nomatter if its joint pain or just a cold..

Crissy thats such a nice story about the man in Walmart.. We had a favorite lady here at ours until she left afterabout 2 years.. She was a very sweet little older asian lady who allways smiled adn hugged the kids. As well as saying enjoy shopppppinnnnggg everytime we went in.. Loved her but now she works for a grocery store down the road and well shes not happy anymore.. Made me mad to see her go..
As for your question on the loan.. We now have a single loan fixed rate at 5.47 % and the smaller loan the charged off as unsecured bad credit. We started out with an 80/20 loan when we bought the house with a ARM but got rid of that when Bush signed the housing bill last year. I know once we get trough this we will be set and have no more problems like this again..

My day today is goingto be busy.. After I get the kids to school Im calling the place that we did the workshop through to see if they can check if we qualify for one time help from th ecity to catch up on what we owe. I know my friend said she would help but I refuse to let her if I can get it elsewhere.. I have to try at least to see what we can do.. Besdies they were the ones who made the original agreement with them that they went back on.. Maybe that will help..

Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

LK please do be careful on your way to the doctors.. Will keep my toe scrossed that all goes well.

Kathy what nerve.. I do belive that you handled it better than I would have.. I hope your daughter tells him how it is...

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

i told her if dad had been here and heard it, he would have hit thelittle SOB.
when mike came home and heard about it, i had to beg him not to go hit him

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Kathy, I have some valium if you need it, or better yet, some Bailey's! Sounds like you just need to get your self in the bathroom, close the door, and soak in a hot tub for a bit. Please take care.
Donna, prayers for you and hubby getting the girls out of the nasty situation.
Off for a shower, and get ready for my trip.
LK

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I just heard on fox news, that the Mother that gave birth to 8 babies the other day, already has 6 kids at home. Can you say WOW! She went throught fertility treatment, and look what she has now. Oh my gosh, I would have a fit, plus she is living at home with her parents!
OK, I am gone, I need to get going soon.

Wow LK I couldnt imagine have 8 newborns let alone having 6 at home to begin with. Her parents must be really frazzled.. Have a safe trip to the doctors..

Kathy ... I had many of those days wishing I could just drag someone away so I understand how you feel.
My best friend in Ohio knows my fury.. I removed her from a bad situation years ago by force becaus ethe man was a lowlife.. Nothing gets me going worse than a boy (cant say man) that would treat his significant other that way..

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

he isn't a man or a boy. try baby. and a whinny baby at that

Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

Kathy I understand.. Really I do be patient as long as you can..

Well I have tons o do before Max gets up so we can go pick up his paycheck,,

Have a great day everyone..

Mornin' Peeps !!!

Been busy this morn... plans have changed on Mike's camp out this weekend... it's no longer an overnight... it's now a Day At The Farm... and orientation for all the area AFS students. AND, now that I'm classified as a volunteer, I can't leave... I have to help out till 10pm when we leave.
Now, my only problem is how to get my granddaughter picked up at a nearby school, and get her to where I am. Talked to Phyllis, and she might be able to help out with that... will know later this afternoon.

Good to see you this morn Cuz !!! Perhaps someone needs to mention to the SIL that a good father is suppose to back up the MOM on her endeavors... he should be proud of her, and show the child that family supports one another.

Donna, hang in there sistah... I'm sure it'll all work out.

Someone on another thread (or it might have been this one, I don't remember) mentioned something about the Post Office cutting back on how many days they'll deliver mail. Well, that's going to take an act of congress to get that changed... Since it's actually written into a LAW that they have to deliver mail 6 days a week... Congress has to change that law... and we all know how long that might take. I think Congress has bigger fish to fry right now.

What on earth was that mom thinking... taking fertility drugs to get prego while having 6 kids at home already !!!... is she crazy?

Ok, going to get dressed now... got some errands to run... BBL

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

cuz, perhaps someone needs to beat that info into SIL

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

I know about 30 of us that would be glad to do that for you, Cuz.

Sugar Valley, GA(Zone 7b)

It would only take one.... and that would be me... :-))

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Yeap I think I know the same 30!!

Morning, is there any coffee? Sun is out nice and bright but in the mid 40's--another burst of cold weather coming next week. Oh well, come on and get it over with--I want spring.

Hope everyone is doing okay. Need to get some things done so I can play a little this weekend on my sewing machine.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Okay, 30 who would do it---correction: 1 to do, 29 to watch and encourage.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I'm not a violent person as you all know, I believe in prayers.
I'll certainly pray that our Lord takes away your SIL sooner, sis :D

Hi everyone!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Morning Jaye. Tell Kel thanks for the handshake/hug! LOL

Coushatta, LA

Hello everyone!!!!

Thanks LK,it was nice.We took him to see Bolt and it was very cute.It was the last night for showing. Now he has been to four movies so for.He was being good through it.

Mama Jaye i hope you feel better soon.Get all the rest you can get.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

have to go back to the doctor. i have brown fluid dripping or should i say pouring out of my incision

Pangburn, AR(Zone 7b)

Well, the 1st quad batch of fudge I made in my new 48 lb, 20 qt cast iron duch oven had to all be dumped. Pi**ed me off! 20 qts of fudge is a lot to throw away, but if its not right, its history.
Did everything just like I have been doing for years, and it set up well, but wasn't smooth at all. It was grainy from the sugar, and I can't have that. I has to be creamy smooth.
The problem is, the bottom of the pan is way larger than my biggest burner. Solution....try again. I will have to cook it longer and stir it different. The fudge not over the burner will have to keep being stirred to the center which means, I will have to cook it twice as long or more without letting it scorch.
Dr Appt was changed to Feb 3. He was called away, so I have to wait that much longer to find out whats wrong with my back. The nice little pain pills(two demoral and two soma) are starting to work, so I am going to go nappy for awhile/

I'm not a violent person either Jaye, but I can sure pack his trashbag and set it and him to the curb....

Pangburn, AR(Zone 7b)

oh my girl! get to Dr or ER asap. you have a really bad infection. don't want that to get into your blood .

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Don't know if I've posted this on here. The SE part of Mo. is without power for up to a month. I think they've declared it a state of National emergency. It's terroble. Wayne just came over to clean up and dry some clothes. He said it's the first time he's undressed since Wed. Or shaved! He looked like a wooly booger! He had the clothes piled on! First time he's been completely warm!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Keep your sweetie warm, Audrey. Give him lots of hot beverage. Chase the chills away.. and yes, some of that Bailey's too.
Think we have a few DGers that part of Mo. Sure hope they're okay.
New room sistahs.
