Hi Sistahs and nieces.

Promise to catch up as soon as I'm feeling better.
Love to all.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Oh Jaye, you have been having way too many health issues. You take of you NOW!! We miss you bunches.......

Way back a few rooms ago some of t you talked about ancestors. I didn't say much about mine because I needed to find pictures to go with the story. So here is a little history of my mom's side of the family. I'm going to post 4 pictures so don't go away......

This is the story of a gold nugget........

Coushatta, LA

Mama Jaye,I hope you get well soon.Make sure you REST REST REST.

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

I was awake till about 8:30 this morning. I couldn't get my knee to stop hurting. Then about 9:30 I got a phone call and had to get up! I feel rotten!! But a 2 hr. nap will cure that!

Fostoria, OH(Zone 5a)

Phyllis, sorry to hear about your dog passing. I have a dear one who is old and may have health problems and I just don't want to think about losing her. We get so attached to all our furbabies; they are like members of the family. I live alone so she is my companion.

Donna, I'm sorry to hear they are giving you the run around, but that is a bank for you. I was just tellilng Stacey that in a fair world none of this would be happening, but life just isn't fair. Many times it seems that those who don't deserve a break get the whole pie! But we must keep in sight that many times these things are for our own good. You have developed skills and contacts you didn't have before How close has your family been working to save this house? We can't always measure what happens today and how it will effect us in the future.
Keep your chin up, lady.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Donna, Stacey, Phyllis and Jaye you are all in my prayers.........

BJ is gonna be awfully busy isn't she ! What a lucky bunch of sistahs!

Cindy what a great story!

Hope everyone is the storms path are all safe and warm.

Today is taxi and errand day for neighbors, mum, and all I am already wanting a nap!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I survived a 2 day purge! Pedialyte at my side and just plain crackers for now. Don't know where I got the bug from, but I presumed it must be one of the salads I got at a new local restaurant, right after the doctor's visit.

Cody, if you had tried to call me, either I was asleep or 'indisposed'. You're are such a sweet girl!

Donna, we'll say extra prayers for you. How could they go back on their original promise? Wasn't there papers signed that they had resolved the issue? To be in your shoes right now would mean climbing the walls!! Poor you and Max. Don't give up... and rant, vent here anytime. That's what this thread is for. Somewhere you could release knowing there are us that do care.

So proud of you Deborah. Yes you can do it. AND you're doing it for Riley too ^_^

Cathy, your DD is beautiful. Thanks for that patriotic link.

Niece Stacey, maybe they need your capable hands to clean up the Toleda branch. Whatever happens.. remember, when one door close, a whole world opens!

Dusty, those Jackabees are soooo adorable!

Hi Judy, BJ, Cindy, LK.. thanks for your well wishes.

Yep, and Maid M. does protest too much that she isn't pc savvy :D

Thanks for dropping in Lisa.

Pyllis, chin up gal, Jasmine's much more happier where she's at right now.

Don't we all need a sistah like Trisha closeby? She'll sacrifice her own agenda just to help family.

To those that's still afflicted by terrible weather conditions, again I hope you're out of danger.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Being to think eating salads out isn't a good idea anymore. Do take care of yourself, please--we know you will but just want to reinforce it.

Yes, I could use some one like Trisha close by!! Not to do the running to have a girlfriend close. In fact any of this group will do. Oh the trouble we could get into.

Need to go think about dinner. Kim came home sick so I think maybe the menu will change.

Gee thanks Jaye but I truly am not that savvy with a computer. I had nothing to do with the web site other than feeding info into the web master--well editing what they put it.

Take care all.

(Laura) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

I just skimmed, so sorry if I missed something.

Deborah and Stacey, your 2009 swap items look great.

Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

Evening Ladies

Sorry for disappearing for the day but wasnt feeling like myself. I ended up staying up until 3 (max came home at 2) and I was working on Taxes and cleaning the hosue. y mind was just way to busy to get to sleep then I was back up at 630..

I napped from 2-3 and woke up panicking Tristen needed picked up. Max was on the phone with the Twins mother... Apparently she is sending them for summer possibly to stay but she wants to let them finish out the year there. I wish they could come now but I need to get things in order before they arrive so its better timimng to wait even though we dont want to. Need to get onto collecting clthing for them since i only have 3 months befor ethey arrive and Im sure they wont have anything worth keeping when they show up since they always tell me they need everything.. Then went back asleep and didnt wake up until Max said dinner was done.. He let me sleep and he said I was snoring so he figured I must have needed it..

Dusty those furbabies are soooo cute..

Cindy the website is wonderful.. I may have to plan a trip over during the festival since Gainsville isnt too awful far away.. I always wanted to go to the gardens anyway so maybe I will get to meet you???
Very cool history on your family to!

Jaye so sorry to hear you have been uder the weather.. Seems its going around a good bit and bad food doesnt help.

Audrey I hope your knee lets up soon. I have a bad knee thanks to one too many car wrecks and I know the weather plays with it more often than not..

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Waving to y'all.

Donna this saying reminds me of your troubles right now and how I see you handling it. You have that 'don't give up' attitude and alot of fight in you. Life insn't about waiting for the storm to pass...It's about learning to dance in the rain (arthur unknown) This saying is on a rock that Cookie gave me. I just love to read it.

I'm still cleaning. Turned my keyboard upside down and gave it a shake. Last month's sandiwich fell out.

Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

OOOPPPs I guess I went wrong.. Marion Love the website! And i will getto meet you if I come that way???

Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

Debrah I danced in the rain first thing this morning.. Cookie has great advice...

My favorite is : If you can Dream it, You can do it! :

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

I like that one too.

Just a quick check in or the evening.....

Glad to see your safe Kim...get some rest...

Jaye, so happy to see you are doing better, don't like it when you don't feel well.

Donna and Stacey.....keeping you both in our prayers...things Will Work Out.....

Deborah you're doing good!!!! I am so happy you're beating the habit!!!

I am tired and haven't even left for spin class yet.....we are into the longer more difficult workouts right now...not looking forward to this one......just hope I am not coming down with a cold from Sunday's freezing bike ride...

Will say Good Night, most of you will have been tucked in nice and warm by the time I get back tonight.

Stay safe, stay warm, sleep well all....

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

thanks girls I know she is better off now and happy too

I may not be here much right now but y'all are in my thoughts and prayers.

I do need some advise though as I mentioned on the last thread my daughter has set the date and me and my mouth may be in trouble now ...LOL...I know I have found a number of "molds:" online that I can get hopefully but I need to know if anyone has used molds and made fudge stuff. as the son in law to be is big on monkeys and he really likes my idea of doing fudge monkeys in place of a grooms cake.......HELP

(Laura) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Phyllis, I'm not sure where it was, but I saw mom had posted the link for our fudge monkey mold.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Trisha... I've been meaning to ask you... what is "spin class"... for a while I thought you were learning to spin yarn... but now, I don't know.

Jaye, sweetie... you've had this "virus" way too much lately... is it the meds doing that to you? Can you take something like Imodium for that? I do hope you get better soon, cause if you don't, you could dehydrate.

Well, Don and I went to pay our property taxes today... then stopped on the way home to have the car cleaned... sheesh... it took them an hour to finish... that's the longest it's ever taken to clean our car before... usually it's only about 15 mins... but this kid doing it was soooo slow... I could tell he wasn't really into his job, at all.
Then, we had left my son here doing his laundry... after dinner I took him home and had to look over some of his bills that he thought were outrageous... they weren't, and I explained them to him where he could understand... remember, he's a head injury patient... he's ok with them now... but that took a while to convince him.

I love that saying, Deborah... we should all learn to dance in the rain... but it's so hard to look past the storm sometimes.

Lawd have Mercy, Trish... you put the best of us to shame with your schedule... I don't blame you for being tired.

LK... be careful in that new ride... I know you look so cool in it... but try to remember that you're not 16 anymore.

Well, it's almost 8pm here, and Don just left to go to Lowe's... I didn't even ask what for... he seemed like a man on a mission... so, I kept my mouth shut.

I'm going to clean up the dinner dishes and get my jammies on now... might be back in a bit... but I might just go to bed... haven't decided yet.

Sugar Valley, GA(Zone 7b)

Donna....I may be able to help with clothing for your twins if I know sizes, and sexes etc... LOL ... Just Dmail me.....

(Laura) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

BJ, I'll answer for mom. It's indoor bicycle riding. You use a wind trainer (puts resistance on the back wheel, but lets it spin) and you spin you're feet a lot, going faster or slower depending on what the daily exercise calls for at that time. Mom might add or correct on that, but that's basically it.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Don't mean to be rude---sorry sistahs and nieces---heading off for bed. Hope it's a better day tomorrow.
Good night all.

Sugar Valley, GA(Zone 7b)

Sounds like torture to me .... ;-)))

(Laura) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Jaye, hope you have a better day tomorrow too!

Dusty, I did it one year and I'll agree with you, but then I think dad regularly tortures mom with things involving bikes.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

And the wheels on the bike go round and round....
Ahhh... now I see.
It does sound like torture.

(Laura) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

I'm sure mom will agree when she gets home in about an hour.
