Coushatta, LA

The ones i had was with hamburger meat, rice and tomato sauce.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Here is Jims recipe and it is so good!

Stuffed Pepper recipe from the local grocery store (for 2 people):
1/4 cup short-grain rice 2/3 cup vegetable bouillon 2 "long" peppers
1/2 lb filet of lamb (but I suppose you could use veal, beef or chicken breast)
1/4 tsp salt pepper olive or vegetable oil 1 egg yolk 1 TBsp grated Parmesan cheese
2 TBsp sour creme Paprika 1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme 6 slices of bacon

Cook the rice in the bouillon for about 15 minutes, then let it cool
Cut the peppers the long way, removing just one side so you can scoop out the seeds.
Cut the filet in 2 pieces the long way, season with salt & pepper, then saute it in the oil about 1 minute on each side.

Preheat the oven to 400 F

Mix the rice with the egg yolk, the cheese and the sour creme, season with salt, pepper and paprika to taste, add the thyme, mix well.
Stuff each pepper with 1/4 of the rice mixture, add the meat, then finish stuffing with the rest of the rice.
Cover with the slice of pepper you removed and hold each pepper together by wrapping with 3 slices of bacon.

Place the peppers in a baking dish and bake in the middle of the preheated oven for 20 minutes.

Serve with a salad and Chianti

Morning everyone.

Donna-I am so sorry to hear that-I guess I don't get the beg borrow and steal part-they want a lump now, and then all will be good?? Is it a gimongo lump and how long do you have to get it??

Well, here was my resignation:
I am putting in my 2 weeks notice. I have been sick to my stomach and crying over this decision, but it has been a long time coming. I do not feel valued as an employee or as a human being working in this office which is sad as I truly enjoyed working for Labor Ready before I came to this office.

I can no longer work for someone that puts their needs ahead of anyone else's and who thinks their time is more valuable that their staffs'. I can also no longer work here when I am chastised and sent snide text messages when I cover my shift to make sure the office is covered when the person doing the chastising herself is not reliable 100% either.

About 3 hours after I sent it, I got a call from the wench's boss. He wants me to withdraw it. He said he didn't realize it was that bad-I told him that both the other gal and I have called him and it gets better for a couple days, then back to the same ole crap. Then I went off-I reiterated the things that were part of the previous conversations and new things and told him that we saw that nothing was getting done, so why bother calling him every other day to whine about it. He asked me if I would consider a transfer to another branch that is closer to me. I am thinking about it, but I would be trading one bad situation for another as that branch has some serious issues-even though the manager is nicer, he doesn't seem to have any regard with the way his office is run or any control over it. It is embarassing when I meet people in my town and tell them where I work and they proceed to tell me that their company has used people from the Toledo branch and that they were horrible, unclean, lazy, etc...and this is EVERY PERSON that I have met that knows about that branch!! Not just 1 or 2, soooo, do I want to put myself in that situation......I am so emotionally and mentally exhausted I just need like 2 solid days sleep!!!

I am not going to go through all the things that have made me so miserable, but my last day will be 2/11/2009.

Sincerely,
Stacey Combest

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

((((((((((HUGS Stacy)))))))))))))))

whatever you do I am with you in spirit to support you. There is no need to work someplace that makes you so sick inside emotionally or physically life is too short to be miserable all the time.
Maybe you need to let this man the boos man you talked to know what is being said by all these people about how bad reputation is for this company.

Thank you girls for the kind thoughts and wishes for myself and jasmine.
It's gonna take some time of course coming home and no food dishes being by my computer or her bed being in the bedroom and such but she had a good life....It's gonna be a lil tough since I am dealing with this myself as I have no comfort here at home other then you wonderful sistahs and co workers.

Good morning ladies

Its raining so hard outsie it looks like a monsoon.. Very odd weather we have been having down here..
I hope the storms of cold, snow and ice have passed for all of you in that storms path..

Stacey I think you handled that very well with your company. Give yourself time and dont let them push you into a branch that you dont want to be in .

As far as the house.. I have alittle less than 30 days to come up with 2300 dollars and then once that payment is made they say we will be all clear.. I still cant figure out how they figure we owe so much when we have been sending payments every month and doing as I was told to do but what are you going to do.. Im working on a few things to see what I can some up with and my best friend in Ohio is being very stubborn with me. She told me that whatever I couldnt come up with she woul dhelp with on her end with her tax refund since shes getting a bunch. I tried to tell her no and she told me she would call chase herself and make the payment if I wouldnt let her help me.. She sooo stubborn but then again I guess thats why we have stayed friends since we were 5.

OO will be right back have to run Tristen to school...
Donna

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Good Morning Ladies.
Sheesh... it's quiet at my house... Mike decided to walk to the bus stop this morning, didn't want me to drive him even though it's freezing out there... and Don is still asleep...

Cathy, and Stacey... Phyllis' pet that died yesterday morning was a beagle... she had Jasmine a long time, and she was very ill... and very old.

Stacey, maybe you can do something about cleaning up the Toledo office... ??? Think they'd let you try if you talk over the reputation with the head office?

I'm so sorry Donna... sheesh... now they're punishing you for doing such a good job in reducing your debt?... somehow, that just doesn't seem fair.
I'll keep you in my prayers, sistah... that's terrible.

BBL... more coffee.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Good morning, any more coffee? Phyllis we are here for you and don't forget that!! I know how you feel about Jasmine as I am sure all of us do. Sending a huge hug.

Tink, you absolutely did the right thing. A job isn't worth one's health or mental well being. Just hang in there and hang out with us. We are here for you.

Donna, what a bummer!! I agree about the weather, poured really hard during the night and now cooler weather is here. Not as bad as it has been.

Waving to all this morning.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Morning,

Cold here only 35 suppose to get up to 64. I'll believe it when I feel it.

Ferndale, AR(Zone 7b)

Good morning - still foggy headed. Slept til 8:00 this morning which is sooooo not like me. Woke up early having a small panic attack over wedding plans but made myself stay in bed and go back to sleep. (how's that for dealing with stress - roll over and go to sleep) LOL!

Donna, I am so sorry to hear what they are putting you through. BJ is right - sounds like they are punishing you for doing what we all should be doing - paying down debt. Crazy! I thought banks were desperate to help people keep their homes these days. Your best friend in Ohio sounds like a true blue friend. That's what friends are for. Do what you can, then accept her help. You will pay her back in time. It'shard to accept help but she's doing it because she loves you. Keeping you in my prayers.

Stacey, I worked in your field 20 years ago and know what you mean about the other office. I was in sales with a temp agency and could go out and sell all day but if the person in the office responsible for filling the positions wouldn't do her job then it was my reputation on the line. Didn't hang around as she wasn't going to change - she owned the company. LOL! You have lots of skills and will can find a good job in a different field if you choose. (look for one where you don't have to stand out in the cold - wink)

Glenview, IL

Good Morning, Good morning!!

Yippee, looks Like I am going to Texas...

and Jaye bothe huggs.

Jaye, How are you feeling. Well and to all who are not well, sending up some prayers to get well.

Cody, Hope you are all better too.

OMG Deborah? How are you doing? Still smokeless should be day 3 I am so proud of you. You are doing great!
LOL, commence to buy for Baby, helps keep mind off things huh.
I have an Aunti named Toots! She lives up in UP Michigan. Been thinking about her since I started eating Tootsie Pops. LOL.

Anyway I was just so excited to tell you all...Man, Memorial day weekend is a very long way away!!
bags already got dust on it...ROFLOL.
Kay, will see you in a bit. Coffee anyone?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone. Thanks for the coffee.

Bj, looks like you are going to have a housefull for sure.

Stacey, I know you have done the right thing, and now that the big boss man, has been awakened, maybe things will change. If you decide to stay there, or move to the other branch, make sure it is on your terms, and with a big fat raise too! Otherwise, I would be looking for another place to work!

Phyllis, please take care, I know you will miss your beagle! We lost our dog a few years ago, and it sure helps to have another one to transfer the love to. They sure help fill the void. We lost a small terrier mix, and now have a siberian husky!

Jaye and Kathy, I know you are alurking somewhere. Hope your doing well.

LK

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Marion, could you post the link to your festival. I missed it in the other thread. CRS!!! after read posts I was going to go back and look at plum forgot :(

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Wish you hadn't posted that picture Dusty--now I want one. Can't have it on the lake as I am not allowed to fence that side of the yard and one to many alligators living down there.
They are adorable!!!

BJ, are you sure you are ready for all of us? What a weekend that is going to be!! Don and Michael might just run for cover with all these women around.

Kathy and Jaye where B U? Hope everything is okay.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Cindy it is just a shell at the moment with a ton of editing to be finished. That is what I work on til the wee hours of the morning but it is slow going.

You are welcome to look anyways--just keep that in mind. www.gardenfestival.org

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Marion, did you design that? I like it!! It's so bright and cheery!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Marion, that is a lot of work. Wow. And you say you are not computer suavy!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Thank you Cindy but no I wouldn't have the foggiest where to start. I appointed a committee who send out request to several web site designers, then met for presentations and recommended one for the job. I like the colors also and there is much more coming. Like interactive butterflies, ladybugs and other things. Just trying to work out the kinks. I will provide all the vendor info as soon as it is completed.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

LK I didn't do that--the committee is paying a pro to do that--I only help edit information that comes in and then I will provide the vendor info.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

OK, we gotcha. Still a very nice website.
LK

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

I am flattered you think I did do it but alas not talented at all. Leave that to someone else--just keep a database.

Coushatta, LA

Good morning everyone!!!
