Marion, Dusty is working today. Had to leave at some ungodly hour this morning. 5:00 or something like that. The dispatcher is silly and that's being nice. She sends Dusty way up North when she lives South, and then someone else will have to go South to pick up the South transport that lives 11 minutes from her.....grrrrrr.

Dusty has done a zillion things, met a zillion people, been a zillion places and remembers all of them! She's a great story teller.

Tina, glad you're enjoying your "stuff"! ^_^

Yes, Dusty and Jim live in the house we just moved out of next door. We met through DG and instantly became "sister"....(I'm the baby one.... ;o)

She won't come to Texas...she's a mean ole lady who only wants to do what she wants to do....she treats me like crap. ^_^ LOL

That's what I have to try next, Maid M. Simple starches are a no-no.
Kel had to give me extra shots yesterday... and all from eating at the Thai restaurant, the day before yesterday!! I had told him that the white rice is toxic to my system, and to give extra insulin. He didn't believe me, until he sees it for himself, through pricks, how long it stayed yesterday :*(
But, I'll have to get brown rice and wheat pasta... no more white rice, white pasta and even potatoes. Now, I can have sweet potatoes, as it's complex carbo.

Last time I had her captive in the truck with me I told her I was going to go get us an ice cream cone....she had a coniption fit! She said I won't eat it!!!! Big ole mean sister....

Anybody making plans to Donna (Gapeahen) RU?? Wish I live closer.
Maybe we can send seeds or plants to help make hers a good one!

Doc says, once you're on insulin, you can eat anything... wrong... as long as you INCREASE your insulin :(

No, Jaye... this will be my 3rd trip to Denver... remember last summer when I went there with Don? His company has the annual get together for all the employees... well, that was my second trip there with him for that.

Don't know if I'll get to go yet though... it's just an application, so they'll choose from many for the chance.

Joyce, if she's so mean... get mean back at her... it'll either bond the two of you closer, or break her of being mean to you... either way, it's a good thing.

Can't say I like the wheat pasta as much but decided to start now to avoid the meds. Sweet potatoes--staple around here. In fact, we cube them, sprinkle with Everglades Seasoning and bake them. Some times a wee bit of Pam on them but not often. They are yummy like that--any seasoning I guess, that is what we happen to have in the house.

So do I Jaye, Joyce is just a "glutton for punishment" as the saying goes!! LOL

Sweet potatoe country here. In fact this town has an annual Yam Festival. I love them baked till the skins almost burnt and the meat reduced to a gooey pulp!! Oh.. and add butter.. (that's a no-no too).
I agree Maid M. Can't get used to wheat noodles, but our lifestyles got to change.

LB, GET YOUR EYES CHECKED!!!! Seeing "funnt" stuff around lughts is NOT a good sign!
Jaye, I've been trying to get a word in edgewise for 10 min.! I feel better today, so far! Took the phenergan and slept all afternoon, then last night my Sweetie came to see me for a few minutes. Took another one when I went to bed. I also took a mild laxative yesterday afternoon. I think that helped, too, to get some of the antibiotic out!
Deborah, how far are you from me? Don't you live close to Gapeahen? Maybe I could go to the RU in April!
Kathy, the pix of Pam with the chickie are delightful! She holds it so lightly, too! You must have taught her not to squeeze! Most little ones hold to tight!

Jaye, I love sweet potatoes, too! Any way I can get 'em! Candied, best, but baked, with butter, and eat the skins, too!

Well, came to the realization that most probably I have lost ALL my brugmansias outside due to the snow and hard freeze. If I see one come up in spring, I'll be extremely lucky. I may lost all my gingers too!!

Then the cuttings in the gh.. the air we maintained around 60* but the water was extremely cold to the touch. The roots don't look good at all.. hope I can salvage some.

New garden plans.. don't push the zone!

Sweet potatoes are one of the things that Don doesn't like... so I don't fix them very often... but every once in a while, I get one just for me and bake it when Don's traveling.

Don doesn't like a lot of fish either... but now that Mike is here, I'll have it more... he does like fish.

I only get beans when we go out to eat... Don doesn't like them, neither does Mike... except Don does like string beans, but Mike doesn't...

Don could eat mushrooms on everything... but Mike won't touch them.

It is getting complicated to plan meals in my house now.

Yes, don't push the zone! I'm wondering what will come up in my bed, my daffodils are coming up, but I have a hole in the middle of the line and I don't know what color they all are, so I guess I'll have a hole in my daffodils this year LOL!

Jaye... those brugs on the shop might be ok... it has gotten down in the upper 30's on my sun porch at night, and my brugs out there are doing fine... so, you'rs might be ok.
