Mona in Metcalfe, ON(Zone 5a)

I saw that dont understand what they are talking about is it indoor plants it must be right lol

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

No one understands me, so don't feel bad.

I was referring to some threads popping up that are describing the first blooms people are already getting in the 'better' climates.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Oh I agree Victor! How can you call a bloom first, in Jan? Oh paleeese, you have to have massive hardship to really appreciate a first bloom. Actual lack of color and blooms for more than a week or two. Does this sound a wee bit like total and absolute jealous rage....you bet your bippy it does! ( Sorry my age is showing with that last remark) :)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Better than your bippy showing!

I never used "bet your bippy" out of my time zone.

Mona in Metcalfe, ON(Zone 5a)

victor I was being sarcastic lol I saw the same thread I understand you

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I was replying to Sherrie, Mona!

Mona in Metcalfe, ON(Zone 5a)

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Yep on the list...
I also had a list of household items I eventually need to buy and it is on the fridge unfortunately next to the pad for the grocery shopping list he keeps adding eggs or milk to the furniture list....real observant...

sweet bippy-haven't heard that in a long time

Fairmont, WV(Zone 6a)

>I never used "bet your bippy" out of my time zone.

I never used "bet your bippy" out of my growth zone (6a). :)

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

LOL

I would not be able to even bet my bippy - its too flat.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Victor, was your third a boy or girl?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Forgot, Deb!

The peanut butter issue is getting bigger. Basically what I got was anything with peanut butter IN IT. Icecream, crackers, cookies EVEN DOG TREATS! That does not include the jars of it on your shelf ie Skippy Jiff etc.

ABC News With recall after recall, at least 101 brands of products, including popular brands such as Little Debbie, Keebler, Kroger, Famous Amos, General Mills and Club Foods, may no longer be safe. NutriSystem announced a recall.

edited for link and make sure pop up blocker is on.

Florida is Freezing we are at 31 degrees right now and it will be down to 18 in the morning. I was gone most of the day and did not check my plastic covered shade house so I hope the little heater will keep it warm enough. Now I want to know which one of y'all left that freezer door open!!!!!!!!!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

The receipe is there flowerjen. Maybe misfiled? What were you feeling the last time you used it? I often file by mood and have found things under 'Y' for 'Yummy' or 'M' for 'Meat' if I thought it was too meaty at the moment. My best was: 'Crab Cakes' filed under 'Crunchy'. I ask you. Although at least it was still under 'C' so not too hard to find. whew. I have also foolishly filed under the name of the person who gave me the receipe. ie 'D' for 'Darius' for a kickbutt grilled pepper salad done in balsamic vinegar mmm. Like I will find that again this summer sigh.

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Dahlia, be careful you don't let your garden files mess with your food files. You could end up with YMCA...yummy, meaty, crunchy astilbe!

Mona in Metcalfe, ON(Zone 5a)

hahahah that is funny and the recalls is that canada to or just the states.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Dahlia-not recipe...receipt

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

OMG flowerjen then I fear you're hooped. I have never ever found one of those ever again. I think they write those in invisible ink and they just disappear forever. Sorry my friend. Sending hugs. Also sorry about the mix up about the receipes but maybe one day you might lose a receipe and my experience might help?

Address book, all the guys at DHs work go under W for work. If we have a friend named Gregg Smith it goes under G for gregg. So Gregg is a worker and a friend - he gets lost as sometimes he ends up in S for Smith. egads

Marlborough, MA(Zone 5b)

I got a D-mail from flowerjen asking if maybe I had like fallen of the earth? Well no I'm still here, silent but listening. I am reminded of the saying, "It is better to keep ones mouth closed and be thought a fool than to open it and prove it." You guys are way beyond my limited knowledge, so I just listen.
I become very reflective at times. After Jen's email I was thinking and I jotted down some thoughts.

THE FOREST FOR THE TREES

Mountains beckon as they pierce the sky,
Calling to their spirit as the eagles fly.

Many have passed this way,
Pausing some to extend their stay.

Gentle stream continue the journey begun,
As shadows perform while in the sun.

The moss is soft and heather deep,
And thoughts unknown to surface creep.

I stand as I have for so very long,
Silent, rooted, tall and strong.

Just a tree among so many,
A forest deep, the same as any.

And yet I feel alone and unattended,
I long to reach and touch but stay untended.

But God has made me what I am,
To fit and serve within His plan.

Nest above, borrow below,
Through histories journey the forest goes.

As traveler bends to flowers at their knees,
Unseen will be the forest for the trees.

I'm here,
Chuck

Report going in from Northeast Florida "Florida weeds can not handle freezing weather!!!! Many are mush in my yard!!!"

Of course a lot of poor Florida garden plants can not handle freezing weather either. Oh well.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Hope you didn't lose anything you loved dear wren?

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

I think the epiphyllums are ok in the green house it will be back down to 30 to night and I do not want to let in any cold are, should be able to go into it in about a hour it is up to 50 degrees. Most of the plants are ok with the weather, a few are damage but will come back and some are toast . Besides I will have room to try new plants!
