Stop and visit, talk all you want #30

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

Boy, you just can't win can you?

(Zone 7a)

No, it's really weird.

It was okay pretty much today. I rested it.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

It's different than Candid Camera, it's not practical jokes, but real life situations.

LOL Sharon, I bet it was an awesome concert. My Jeff Dunham is right around the corner!

Keep resting Celia and I hope the PT goes good. You have got to tell your body to stop this nonsense! Believe me, I know it's easier said than done, my body seems to think I'm 80.

Ooookkkkkkkk, my cat is trying to climb the wall, now she's talking to the wall, she's going to make me climb the wall in a minute LOL!

I didn't tell ya'll what she did the other day, OMG it was hilarious! I came in the garage door getting home from work, Dave was asleep, and Tiga decides she's going to go nuts, except she went really nuts this time. She has an 8' sofa that's this faux suede stuff, that's where she goes when she wants to box with me. So she jumps up there against the back and the left armrest, all hyper and I attacked her right above her tail on her back. She tucked her head underneath her body and scooted completely to the other side of the couch, on her head the whole way. When she bumped the other armrest she raised up and I could just hear the static electricity, her fur was standing up on end all over her head. She ran off before I could grab the camera, but I thought I was going to die laughing.

HI TERRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bureau County, IL(Zone 5a)

celia, you need a neurosurgeon, they specialize in backs. not an ortho doctor.

lucky me. surgery has been moved to friday, feb. 13.

first time i've been on since i last wrote. keep getting worse. i had to add the vicodin now too. not fun.

pep, no refurbished appliances around here. ours came in last thurs.

sharon, i saw another 'my house is worth what?' the other day. i guess in california, granite is out. lol

(Zone 7a)

OMG, Crissy, that is sooooo funny!!! Did I ever show you girls the pic of Isis after she fell in the peanuts? Too, too funny! I love that indoor cat freak out!

Terry, going to try the PT first. If that doesn't help, we'll move on to a surgeon. I'm told that arthritis never gets better. And I'm now taking Tramadol. I love "My House Is Worth What?"

Going over to my brother's to watch a movie and get our taxes done. Fun.

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

That's not a good thing that your surgery is Fri the 13th. I would run screaming to the hills if they did that to me.

Celia, hope PT works!! I also love My House is Worth What?. It has alot of helpful info.

Today we had a birthday party for one of my brothers. I decided I wanted a key lime pie so yesterday I made it ahead of time. I took one bite of it today and threw the whole pie in the trash. It was so gross it's not funny. I've had some good ones before but mine I think just had too much juice. lol. But I've had my fix and I think I'm done for another few years. LOL

Oh, I bought another plant yesterday. I went and filled an app out at a nursery and garden center and they had tropicals marked down 20%. I got me a pitcher plant- nepenthes alata. Now I have to keep it alive this winter. LOL

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

LOL I've never had a bad Friday 13th, but I've had some seriously bad Saturday 14th's. Weird.

My Lime Zinger died. I had a feeling I couldn't keep it alive.

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

I have some Lime Zingers that are dormant downstairs in the basement. Plus a few others. I haven't checked them but I'm sure they are ok.

(Zone 7a)

Keylime pie is my all-time favorite dessert. Ever. I make a mean one. It has a bit of a bite. Very tart.

Lime Zinger is pretty hardy, I hear. I think Mau has one.

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

This key lime pie wasn't even tart. It was just horrible. No other way to describe it. LOL.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

I think my mom's dog had a seizure. She said her husband was outside with him and he came in the house and said, "Connie, your dog is having a problem." So she went outside and he was laying down shaking all over, his eyes were half closed and watering but not rolled back in his head, and his heart rate was sky high. I told her to take him to the vet Monday and she's fighting me about it saying, "But it might not ever happen again, if that's what happened. He's only 5 years old," and every other reason in the book to not take him. He's a very in-bread 5 year old Beagle.

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

She definitely needs to get him to the vet.

My neighbor breeds dogs and she breeds a brother and sister mutt pair all the time. In fact she's pregnant again and it wasn't all that long ago she had a litter. Now people have caught on and won't buy the puppies so she bought some small breed dogs and is gonna breed them. I don't know what kind they are though because they are pinned up near her front door and we can't see them clearly. Between her and my other neighbor we have a ton of dogs in the neighborhood.

In fact my other neighbor has horses and there have been several horses that have died recently. The other day I saw this weird trash truck come by then turn around and go up to her house. I walked down to the street to get the mail and saw it lifting a dead horse to throw into the truck. I quickly walked into the house once I realized what I was looking at. I don't know how many they took but they were there for awhile. It's really gross and sad.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

That's how they remove dead cows too, I used to know a guy who did that for a living. Very sad. I wonder why they're losing so many horses at the same time.

That's sad to call themselves breeders when they're inbreeding. Her beagle is way inbred, he has quite a few problems, ear problems, a weight problem, you can tell by looking at him he's not quite right, and afraid of Everything which isn't normal for a beagle, they're hunting dogs for Pete's sake.

I guess my mom's dog wasn't laying down, he was in bed, got up, then started all the stuff listed above.

(Zone 7a)

Grrrr...I get so angry at people who do that to their animals. They wouldn't make their children do that, why the animals? I don't get it. Well, some people would if it could get them a buck and not in jail. Some poeple need a kick in the you-know-where.

Anyway, got our taxes done and we're getting a return. Woo hoo!!! Now for the state taxes.

Amelia Island, FL(Zone 9a)

Congrats Celia on the $$$ return!

(Zone 7a)

Thanks. It'll come in handy, that's for sure.

Having computer troubles today. It keeps locking up.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Celia, mine keeps freezing up too. I do the "control+alt+delete" and it takes a minute but it will then unlock. I'm going to run a virus scan and run a couple of different spy ware programs on it today and see what happens.

(Zone 7a)

It was giving me trouble last night, too. I defragged and ran a scan but nothing showed. I have 2 programs for scanning for viruses. I had to restart so we'll see what happens now.

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

Mine freezes all the time but I'm also on dial-up since I can't afford satalite.

Congrats on the return Celia!!

(Zone 7a)

This is the fastest we've ever gotten them done. I'm really surprised everything came so quickly.

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

Did you do TaxOnline or one of the similar ones?

(Zone 7a)

We use TaxCut. It's easy and they explain everything.

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

I use TaxAct. Easy too.

Amelia Island, FL(Zone 9a)

We use TurboTax.

Jeff found some ink cartridges during a residential clean up. Does anyone use HP ink cartridges #02 series? There are 6 catridges - there are brand new. I hate to throw them away.

Here is a link, but there isn't any paper, just the cartridges.

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

I use 74 and 75 unfortuntely. Otherwise I would take them. Mention it in Swaps, trades and giveaways maybe and see if anyone can use them there or in the computer forum.

Amelia Island, FL(Zone 9a)

Celia's a/k/a Kwanjin's modem just went down. I'm trying to find out how long she'll be down.

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

I hope she's able to get it up and going again soon!!

Amelia Island, FL(Zone 9a)

Just heard from her...maybe tomorrow if Sam's has them in stock. Fingers crossed!

(Zone 7a)

Oh, boy. I had no idea how bad internet withdrawals could be! LOL

We got the new modem delivered today and in ten minutes we were up and running.

Everyone has been well?

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Yay! I'm so glad to have you back Celia!

I've been sick :( I'm hoping and praying it's not my gallbladder. I feel fine, then I eat, I have gas cramps from the bottom of my stomach down for about 5 minutes, then off to the bathroom I go, then I'm fine until I eat again and the mornings are worse than the evenings. Today is my 8th day, I went to my family practitioner and my oxygen is 98%, my temperature is at 98.6, my weight is 166lbs at 5'9" and 36 years old, my blood pressure is 120/80, and my white blood cell count is right on the number it's supposed to be. He said because people with this type of problem take Imodium he wants me to take it, I told him I don't have this type of problem, he pushed on my belly and gall bladder and was saying, "That hurts a little huh." WELL, no it doesn't. I want to go back to the dr who did the Appendectomy but he is so centered on my gall bladder going bad, his nurse has called me 4 times since the surgery asking me about it, I'm afraid he'll just throw me into surgery without running some tests!

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

Finally!! LOL!!

Crissy, I would find another doc to look at you, just to have another opinion.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

I've been thinking about it, but you know, it does seem to be better, like I don't have the cramp of death at 4am anymore, in fact I go to the bathroom just before I leave for work, about an hour after I get up, and my coffee yesterday or today didn't have a real bad affect like it did, my lunch made me cramp a little, but I thought this morning that I need something for the gas, I think the gas is causing the poops, I think my dr thinks the poops are causing the gas, hence Imodium. So I took a Target brand gas pill when I ate lunch and didn't have a hard time with it at all, then I had Progresso Clam Chowder soup tonight about 2 hours ago and took one while I was eating it and I haven't had a single cramp, so I'm wondering if it's starting going away or if the gas pills are helping. A girl at work was matching her symptoms she had a couple of weeks ago to mine, and they seem to be identical, she said it took her 10 days to get over it, and said if I'm not over it by Monday morning then I don't have what she had, and what kind of bug lasts more than 10 days?

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

Trust me, lots of bugs last more than 10 days. My mom gets them all the time.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

That sucks Pepper. Well this is getting annoying. I ate a bowl of Captain Crunch LOL about 10 to 15 minutes ago. So far so good!

(Zone 7a)

Morning, Ladies! Sorry you're having the troubles, Crissy. Yes, lots of things can last 10 days or longer. They just have to clear out of your system. I'd get that 2nd oppinion, too.

Amelia Island, FL(Zone 9a)

I just lost my post :(

Welcome back Celia!

crissy - I hate it when a "dr" tells me when I'm in pain - major thumbs down on that. Get that 2nd opinion.

(Zone 7a)

Hey, Sharon. Thanks again for letting everybody know where I went. LOL

What a lazy day today. My back is still hurting so I've been resting it. I have a bunch of exercises that the physical therapist gave me to do and I did those but other than that...

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

I took advantage of a decent day and trimmed back my mums and pulled out some dead annuals. Otherwise I've been on here or watching TV.

Tomorrow I'm going to a birthday party for a 4 yr old. Apparently it's gonna be a huge party.

(Zone 7a)

Yesterday, I cleaned out the dead iris leaves. Lots of bending over but it wasn't too bad.

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

I just left the iris and lily leaves. Winter isn't over yet so they still need protection. But I'll rake them out when spring hits.
