All I usually have to do is give my ice queen look and they usually back off after trying once or twice. lol. After working at a middle and high school for several years I have that down pat.

OMG you guys are hilarious! First time I've been on here all day, I'm so busy at work it's unbelievable. And my co-worker, not the wacked out secretary, but the lazy dazy one. She took today off because it's her husbands birthday. It's getting to be any excuse is a good excuse. I wish I had some days because I would leave her stranded.

OMG - I'm so angry right now. You know my step-son finished 7 months of chemo treaments.

He's been at our next door neighbor's house for a couple of hours. I'm standing at the front door watching Gary load up a wheelbarrow full of logs and wheel them back across the street to the neighbors house.

I am LIVID. I called Gary into the house, sent him to his room with a glass of apple juice. Then I marched my next door and reamed 3 50+y/o men about it.

One said "He asked to do it". I'm like "would you allow your child to do that after 7 months of chemo"? "THINK next time" You can say "No Gary I don't think it would be a good idea right now".

I'm sooooooo ANGRY...

So I called Jeff and told him and he says "be nice". BE NICE???? BE NICE???? Are you insane? Maybe I should call Tracy (Gary's mom) and let her open up a can of hick whoopa$$ on these men AND Jeff. Sheeeeeesh....grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

What a bunch of stupid old men (only old because of their behavior.) I think you should, then both of you can whipa$$ together!

It's ok...these old farts. They've known Gary for a long time. They know he's mildly disabled. He's 25 on the outside, but 14 on the inside....I just want to go back over there and slap the snot out of all of them....

Go over there and vent on them and maybe they will know better next time.

Have you heard anything about Gary's markers? I know you were waiting to hear if he was all clear for now or not.

Surgery is scheduled for Feb. 19th. Yee-haw, can't wait and that's not being funny. can't stand the thought of them going in the front, moving things out of the way to fuse the bones. just what I've always wanted, a scar across the skin of my throat area. my arm hurts like holy heck and i'm being so nice. using caps hurts and makes me move too much, pardon me.

fridge broke, oven broke day before yesterday. good grief. people tell me, repair people, that appliances are made for 3 yrs and you're lucky to get 7 to 10 yrs out of them. remember the fridge your mom had forever and a day? those days are gone i guess. i'm just glad SS appliances aren't really the norm around here, nor are granite countertops. saves us a lot of money anyway. put it this way, if you have granite countertops and SS appliances, you don't get anymore money than you would if you had white, bisque or black appliances and formica countertops. i watch too much hgtv anymore. i keep seeing how the appliances all have to match to sell, you need granite or at least stone countertops, you need SS appliances. i saw a show one time that had the same hex tile i put in the bathroom. very period correct. but they said it was "out of date". made me laugh anyway. i love that tile.

so anyway, pepper feel free to give my email to those who want it. and if you all feel a sharp pain in your throat on feb. 19, hahahahahaha...welcome to my world. ouchy mama.

Terry – I’m so glad to hear from you! You are in our prayers for the pain now, the surgery and your healing. It always amazes me how we have to go through so much pain and aggravation before we get better. I like SS appliances, but wouldn’t want any. They show fingerprints, etc too easily. Can’t keep the darn things clean LOL! Call me old fashioned, but I like my crisp white appliances. I do like granite and I’d have it if we could afford it, but I still want my new bedroom furniture more. So I’ll just have to put on my big girl panties and wait LOL!

OMG! Jeff surprised me with ticket to The Eagles this Wednesday! I haven’t seen them since I was 17!!!

If I feel any pain that day I know to blame you. LOL. I do hope the surgery goes well.

I also love granite but if it's solid surface I like it. Concrete with glass in it or just polished concrete is another one I like too. And soapstone. We won't have any of those in our house. We have white appliances except for the stove which is black and white. It is 5 or 6 years old at least. Fridge is last year since the old one quit. Microwave is a few years old. Cabinets are nasty and need to be replaced but we can't afford it. Flooring needs to be replaced too but can't do that til we do the cabinets. The cabinets stink and have grease on them. We don't know what the smell is but it's bad. The grease won't come off and the doors are falling apart and some hang crooked. Our kitchen is horrible!! LOL

Terry, can you get refurbished appliances in your area? They cost more but last alot longer. People are taking the oldies from the 50s and 60s and ones even older than that and refurbishing them. There are companies out there that specialize in that and also sell them. Check it out as an option. I would love to have some when I move out. They are cool looking.

That's what I've been told about appliances from numerous repair people, when my frige broke at 4 months old. I'm going to see how long this new one lasts. Crazy!

I'm on the phone with my mom so I'll post in a little bit or tomorrow sometime. Maybe the ice will keep me home tomorrow lol!

Yeah! Stay home!!! LOL How did it go at the dentist?

Oh shoot, he was going to take a filling out because it had a cavity under it, but he couldn't see what he saw on the x-rays. He took another x-ray and still couldn't see what he saw, so he decided to do nothing with it for now and will examine it again next week when I go back again, and in June for my semi-annual check up. He fixed my back molar on my right side and said the shot is going to make me sore today, boy he wasn't wrong! I used that as an excuse to not drive today LOL That way I can use my sick day instead of my annual day. I was only there for about 30 to 40 minutes. I sewed most of the day yesterday, decided I need to break this computer addiction lol! I have to clean seeds today too.

Dave stayed home last night because of the ice.

LOL I don't know LOL! I'm on the phone with my mom and all she ever talks about is her pain and the surgery she had. I feel so bad for her but I can't do anything about it, and there is so much more to talk about. Every time I try to talk about something positive and/or funny she just talks over me. Ug.

Sounds like Darrell's mom. LOL She spent teh first 20 mins. of any conversation with..."This hurts and that hurts and I have these symptoms."

OMG Sharon that's exactly what I've always done, and still do! She got mad at someone today because I guess they lied when they wanted to get off the phone, you have to lie to get her off the phone, you practically have to declare an emergency or she'll just keep talking.

One time, I was about 14 I guess, she was in bed nagging about something I did, I was in my bedroom trying to get ready for bed, I got tired of hearing it as she had been going on and on, so I walked out of the bedroom into the kitchen, got something to drink, drank it, went back into my bedroom and right when I walked in the door she yelled, "Do You Understand Me!!!?" Oh yes, perfectly LOL I didn't hear a word she said. I hope she didn't get membership and is reading this...

Celia it's on ABC, CBS, or NBC, the news anchor gets some actors and sets up customers to see what they would do in certain situations. For example, the first time I saw it they had this waitress, who was an actress, hit on the males patrons who were coupled with a female and obviously in a relationship. They wanted to see how each couple would react. It was hilarious. Last week they had a cashier, who was an actor, mess with Hispanic workers, saying they couldn't buy food at that deli because they didn't speak English. The anchor of the show is Hispanic and he dressed up like a Mexican worker and went in, the actor/cashier was doing the same with him and one of the customers went off at the cashier and almost climbed the counter. At that point he said, "I'm so-in-so (I don't remember his name) from NBC (whichever network it is) News and we're doing a show called... that customer was quite embarrassed. Last night they did something else, oh, they hired a couple of male actors to crash weddings and see how the bride and groom would react, another hilarious one!

It's a good show, I think I'm going to go watch last nights right now!

I'm going in to an orthopedic specialist this morning. I have to take my MRI in with me so they can look at it and tell me what's next. NOT looking forward to this, but, if it'll help...I'm tired of it hurting all the time.

When things start getting stressful for someone the news anchor always breaks in, it's almost like Candid Camera in a different way, it's really interesting to see some of these people's reactions to different situations. Gives me more of a sense to what human nature is, and how we're all different.

I don't know. I've never been a big fan of Candid Camera or shows like that. Build someone up then embarrass the heck out of them. I know I'd slap the bejiggity $%#^*@#& out of someone if they did that to me.

I wish you guys could have gone to the Eagles with me. Awesome show! I've been in love with Glenn Frey since I was 13. I'd still throw him down LOL!

My mom used to have the Eagles as customers when she worked at a truck stop. They would always stop and talk to her for a few minutes. She said they were the nicest people. Not egosital at all. She said the same about the Kentucky Headhunters (hillbilly rockin style of country) too.

Oh, I like them, too!!! LOL

I had a friend whose father was friends with Wille Nelson. She came home from grade school one day to the sight of the 2 of them repairing the roof on their house. He's had a few meals at their house, too. She said he was really nice.

The results from my Dr. visit yesterday were that I have 2 bulging discs, facet arthritis and degenerating discs all in the lumbar area. I have an appt. for PT on Tues. No nerve root damage so far. The PT, hopefully, will keep that from happening.
