Thought I'd start the new thread with this. What was the last choice you made that you think has changed someone else's life? In a little way or a big way?

That's a good question and I honestly don't have a clue.

Getting married changed Dave's life considerably. He worked in a dive bar as a dj (yes I married the dj) 3 nights a week, making $50.00 a week, and rented a room from an up and coming drug addict. He moved in with me, I owned my house outright and had the money for him to buy a mower, blower, weed eater, and other lawn maintenance things so he could start his lawn maintenance business, which he happened to make $800.00 a week on and he quit working at the bars, plus I already had a full time job with benefits that he got a part of also. Now we live in Ar in a newer house I bought out in the country where he wanted to live. And I'm perfectly happy! Without me he wouldn't have been able to move to Ar and live in a house, he would've been living with his aunt. He tried the lawn maintenance business here but it wouldn't go, so he got a good job that has benefits and pays very good.

I would say my decision to marry him changed his life. Wow, the things we don't think about until we're asked.

Ok, need help!! I'm looking around at Buried Treasure's site and I want a tropical Hib. Which one? Cajun Blue is interesting and would go with my other blue. After that Voodoo Magic, Gabriel and City Slicker I like most. Or should I get a double? LOLOL. I'm hopeless!!!

I was watching The Bucket List and a variation of this question came up. I don't know if any of you have seen it but the question begs an answer.

In the movie, it's explained that the Egyptians have a belief that when they die they are asked two questions. The 1st, Have you had joy in your life? The 2nd, Did you bring joy to someone else's life?

My answers to those 2 questions are yes and yes.

I was driving to the grocery store today and almost had an accident. Luckily for all concerned, I was watching a young girl dig in her glove box in the car next to me. We were at a stop light and the left urn light changed to green but the thru traffic light was still red. She was in the thru lane. When she saw the cars start to move, (I'm assuming out of the corner of her eye, because she was NOT looking up.) she went, too. Still digging, she had no idea she was moving toward an accident. I laid on the horn as hard as I could to alert her to look up. She did just in time to avoid t-boning a pick-up truck turning left. The guy in front of me, of course, flipped me off, thinking I was honking at him.

My day ended with me coming home to Darrell and my friends. Her day ended with her going home or work or the store or a friends house or her parents house. She could have ended the day in the hospital. I know more people than just me saw what was going to happen but NOT ONE PERSON did anything to stop it. I'm glad I did.

You should get the double. Because you can.

Darrell had his computer at work taken away because they thought it would save money. NOT!!! LOL This was 6-8 months ago and now they have them all back. They kept them from the internet, at 1st, too. Now that's back, as well.

The adeniums are gorgeous. Shoot, they're all gorgeous! I have to decide which is the easiest to take care of lol and where to put it lol!

I want that one, Uranus, Breeder, True heart and Tropical Sun. LOL

I think the older ones are easier to take care of. SG-42 is a medium sized one and I kind of like it. Easier to swallow on price too. lol

There was this old geezer, whom I call Dan the human plunger (works for a plumbing company here, on the other side. He's pretty gross. He says "it's pretty nipply out here this mornin' huh"? I'm like "ugh don't talk to me"!

We had this guy who worked for the elevator repair co. that took care of ours at Macy's. He used to have to come to our ofc when he needed to make reapirs so we could get him into the machine room. He used to say to all of us, And I'm shuddering as I'm writing htis, "You girlies can frisk me anytime!" Ugh!!! That was gagger!

OMG!! I would have come back with a snappy retort that they wouldn't have liked and would have shut them up. Working around men for a living I have come up with some good ones at times. LOL

I got a great deal this morning!! I was checking my emails when I saw an email that said I could get free Jimmy Wayne tickets. I figured there would be a catch but went ahead and clicked on it. No catch. Free tickets as long as I put the correct code in. So I got 4 tickets for free and the concert is tomorrow night. A bunch of friends and I are going. Whoo hoo!!

Unfortunately, I could not say what I would have liked to have said. What I DID say the last time was "I could construe that as sexual harrassment and have your company fined."

Yes. And the realy funny thing is, he was your typical fat, sweaty, low-brow Neanderthal with too much crack showing. Even when he walked. Which was a pretty good trick considering he wasn't all the way upright. The walking part, I mean. At least his knuckles didn't drag.
