I was happy with the small order i placed last year from select seeds... hopefully this years will be just as nice
What have you ordered for spring 2009 - Part II
Nice list Kassia. I am still adding and subtracting to my Select Seeds order. Already ordered more than I was planning on too. This weather does not help my resolve to keep the orders small this year. I am anxious to see that new red rudbeckia in pics this year from a real garden. It does look very nice in the promos.

yes it does
I'd like to order the whole select seeds catalog.... and Khlem's song sparrow catalog, and white flower farm.....
Oh well, I guess I'd better start buying those lottery tickets!
Deb
Kassia - when is the first Job Lot excursion to be?
I like that red rudbeckia too, says it's a hardy annual.
Also the Verbena 'Tukana Scarlet Star' I grew last year and it was beautiful! I made Auntie a July 4th hanging basket using that for the red, white Bacopa and blue petunias,.
has anyone ever tried spray-n-grow?
have been receiving the catalog for a couple years and i'm tempted to try some. not really interest in 6lb. tomatoes - thinking about annuals and maybe new additions to the yard and hydrangeas
Chia-pet?

thanks for the link - seems to be a crowd pleas-er - just concerned that it is a plants on steroid concoction - with a name like Bill's Perfect Fertilizer - i had to look into it.
thnik i'll try some
That DL is outstanding, Pixie----I'd love to start hybridizing my own---saw another DL I'm ordering---Wild Horses---now I know I'll have to start that new garden along the fence---It will be perfect for DL, Siberian iris, & bearded iris, which I really need to divide this year.
Anyone have Midnight Oil - looks nice. FW has it:

It's in PF....it's a smaller flower, not big. Maybe 3-4" on a tall scape 36".
you can get it here for $7

Have you ordered from them, Celeste?
Anyone interested in some Glads? 5 bulbs $1.67 co-op going on now. At this price if I don't feel like digging them up I won't feel as bad!!

Yes, but mostly iris's, thats how I found them, they do send nice healthy plants though!!
Not to tempt you but check out the Iris's too. hee hee
Not nice!
No, but the price's are!!!
I love: Blue-eyed Blonde, Boss Tweed, Busy Being Blue,
Circus Jewels to name a few. lol
Victor.... they have 'Midnight Oil', DL & Iris, both very dark!
Blue-eyed Blonde?!! Now I have to look.
It figures!!
DL I want is 'Cosmic Sensation"
Another dark one she has which is a bit more $ is 'Dark Storm' and check out the color of 'Midnight Raider'
All three are very nice. Meet Joe Black is very different looking!
Very different, not sure I like him .
QUOTE THE RAVEN is dark too.
Slap some 'Wild Horses next to any one of those dark red-purple's and you have a heck of a combo going on.
Victor I like this place too, you can view by color and it tells you the price beside the picture. Need more info? Click on it and it will tell you how big, zone, how tall, ect...

I don't like it either. Just different than anything I've seen. Yes - Quote is nice too.
You're not helping, Celeste!
Gee, I thought I was. hee hee he
Do both these places send nice-sized clumps?
lol Sherrie,
yes Victor nice but not clumps. Oakes sends clumps....
4-7 fans. http://www.oakesdaylilies.com/supplier/searchresults.php?id=s000&category=Daylilies&browse=3&color=Purple
I own both 'Wayside King Royal' and 'Strutters Ball' so don't pick those....you can get a fan or two from me.
Just realized I own a few different ones out of Oakes. lol

I know. I am used to Oakes and I judge everyone against them.
Iris Midnight Oil is a better grower in the western states than it is here. Suggest 'Before the Storm'--tailored instead of ruffles, but a great grower.
Celeste.... I should not click the links you give, 50% of the time I end up ordering!
Will power Carrie, will power!
Deb, we need to get to Job lot as soon as they have their plants... I got some boxwoods last year and I need to get some more...
wow... Celeste I am not looking! I am totally in control today... at least for a few hours!!!
