That oregano is one of those plants that I think of getting every year then never order for some reason. If it does well for Victor maybe next year I can squeeze it in some place.
Pretty DL. I have almost added 'Sunday Gloves' to my GC order several times then backed off. Really want a nice white DL but think I should wait to see what comes back in the spring and if I can find a good spot for it. It very hard to wait. https://www.gardencrossings.com/plant/Hemerocallis__Sunday%20Gloves

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I have Joan Senior and it's nice.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Victor that is the only other nice white DL I have seen around. Sitting on hands and trying not to order.
Patti I will be interested in hearing about your penstemon 'Stapleford Gem'. I have ordered it this year. Did it bloom for you last year? Any pics?

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I have Joan too but also have these:
White Tie Affair
Feather Down

Better Whites i've been looking at:
White Tuxedo
White Perfection

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

I have been so tempted by the oregano. High Country carries a couple of cultivars so I assume they are probably water wise plants. I might have to include it with some dahlias from DG.

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Wha, this is my first time ordering from Lazy ss. I "think" the container size will be similar to a pint of milk but with a tapered bottom.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes, oregano is drought resistant.

South Hamilton, MA

Are any of the white DL plants dormant varieties? Looking! at miniature hosta in the Klemm Song Sparrow catalog.

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

The Klehm's catalogue is sensational. Going there (again) now.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Rhymes with phlegm?? Yuck.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Got my FW catalog! Strange illustration on the front.

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

No FW here yet.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Maybe you're too close?

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Oregano is very drought resistant and a prolific self seeder for me. Make sure you lasso the babies in the spring so they don't gallop around.

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Dahlia, that makes my heart sing. The place I have in mind has my driveway on one side and my neighbor's on the other. The little rascals would be detained by tar.

Victor, I think I need to contact them for a cat. I don't think I got one last year. Of course I could be wrong about that. However, the Klehm cat is seducing me into once again purchasing a tree peony. I never learn. They also have great pics of JMs and Vibs. Do you know JM "Tsuma gaki" yumm. Or vib Sugar n' spice? They are both calling my name. Screaming actually.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Both are very nice! The viburnum is a carlesii so it smells great.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

who's fw?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Fairweather Gardens.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

venu - i ordered from lazy ss last fall and was very happy with what i got in their qt. sizes. they are telling me the plants will be 12" tall with full root systems -
klems is pretty expensive and the plants are small.i ordered two spruce from them last year and it will be YEARS before they grow up - i suggest to do some searching on watchdog for other sources -
for jm's victor or i could give you some recommendations.
and for the viburnum check out lazy ss again. for $9.99 they have almost everyone available.

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Jen, FW is in southern NJ. We were discussing a trip to their open house, we assumed you would join us. Cause we know you can't resist!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

ooooo, when is it?????

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

sorry didn't see the new thread until now... i will post again

Pixie I have that Oregano... it came to me real small... and it's been two years... looks nothing like that photo

not sure if it's my lack of sun... but I hid it behind some pots last year... as you can see in the photo

Nice wall Allison! Good thing the arrow is there to point out the oregano.

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Wha & Victor I found JM Tsuma gaki listed with 4 vendors; Eastfork, Mendocino, Whitman and Wildwood. Can you recommend one?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Wildwood. They are wonderful people. Call them and tell Sara you are a friend of mine.

Thomaston, CT

I had penstemon pinifolius, but lost it after 3-4 years---many penstemon are short-lived, & most like dry climates, being western & mid-western natives. But I have a tall white that has bloomed for many years---the plant goes dormant in mid-summer, but I still like it. Pixie, what is that lovely DL you started the thread with? I have a white DL--Heidi Eidlweiss--but also am looking for a newer variety.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

The daylily is 'Twilight Illusion", I just got it last year so it hasn't settled in yet. I bought it to use in crossing...it is pod and pollen fertile, has good form and an edge.
Maybe i'll get a famous DL out of it like this one..starts at $249.00
http://daylily.com/cgi-bin/auction.cgi?cultivarsaintros&1232332973

LOL

Its really really pretty but its nuts to pay that amount for 1 fan!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I never would! Soooooo i'll make my own!! lol

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Thanks Victor!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

yes - wildwood is very good and shipping is the cheapest around - i have heard good things about mendocino as well and i spoke with the owner last week - i would check out the prices of the size you want and go with either - Mendicino's shipping is cheap as well.

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

Nice, Allison!

I have always liked Strobilanthes, and torenia .... most things I plant are usually blues or creams/peaches.

The house is light gray with a powdery Wedgwood blue trim.

The orange brick front of the house throws a real curveball.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

thanks ... I love to put the torenia with some of my coleus ... when I deadhead.. they just bloom and bloom
