After they left Sophie had to have a drink, all that bunny tale talking made her thirsty. lol
Sophie's Saga....The Journey Continues
Oh, Celeste.....those are three adorable photos!! I love seeing Orry with Sophie.......how sweet! Very funny about Sophie needing a drink.....LOL......and that little Isabella just makes you want to hug her tight. Lovely family you have!!
I wonder if Sophie knows she's a bunny? She sure looks like a peoples in those pics to me. Whatcha goin to do Pixie when she wants to go to school or borrow the car? :O
Nothing....she's Daddy's girl, remember? lol
Cute!
Tee hee good point Pixie.
Very cute pics, Celeste! Your grandchildren are darling, and so is Sophie.
Karen
Big AWWWWWWWWW! all the way around! Such a nice family! ^_^
She's so big! Great pix, thanks pixie! My husband and I now feel all warm and fuzzy. "Aaawwwww" :)
Really.... just too cute.
Oh, had to get my Sophie fix for today, great photos, lovely little girls, handsome daddy, and wonderful Sophie!
Phoebe.....great photo, is that Columbus?? Somehow I missed him. Waaaaaa, I want a bunny.
OK, I feel better now.
Yep...but still wantin' a bunny.
How's your weather up there, Sherrie?
Missed you Sharren! Columbus says "Hi"!
I happen to have a bunny, but it is wild so it doesn't exactly count. I got some pix this morning, and I just sent a couple to the state to see if it could indeed be the rare New England Cottontail. I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but it has a couple of indicators so I'm kinda convinced it is :) If it is, it would be a big deal. So it probably isn't! lol
That would be wonderful if it was!!!!
Hi Sharon! Glad to see you posting! What kind of temps are you having up there?
Evie - that is very interesting about your possible rare Cottontail. Please let us know if it is one. That would be very exciting! Good luck!
Luv that pic with the doggie, too cute.
Hi Sharran did you get the blast of cold down there too?
Evie I hope it is a little cottontail. Keep us informed.
eviebeevie wild bunnies count. Boris and Natasha the wild jackrabbits will be very upset if they don't count.
Asked my 3 year old GD this morn if she wanted a rabbit---she said "Don't they use them for food?" Whose been telling her that? I'm like "Well, sometimes, but rabbits can be nice pets, too". Then the phone rang---thank God!
hehe...saved by the bell!!
You know you want one!
Oh, Marilyn. I'd have really stumbled on that one!!! I think you handled it well. I'm afraid to ask this.........what is the life span of rabbits? I think my childhood close friend had hers for many years.
This is a change of subject, but it is a cool animal thing. With the really cold temps here recently, hundreds of manatees have congregated in the 75 degree water at Manatee Park at the mouth of the Orange River here. I'm hoping I'll be able to get up and out soon so we can go see them. The source of the warmth is the power plant there. We had a place on that river when I was a kid and I used to canoe in that area a lot. There were often manatees around there, and the first time I ever saw one I was really freaked out because I had no idea what it was. They are the gentlest of all sea creatures.
oooo...I love manatees!! Get lots of pictures for us.
I hope they won't have all left by the time I can get there to see them! LOL
Thats really cool Louise, please do post if you get pics!
hey hey hey......sorry, I've been swamped.
Temps....about 60 yesterday and today, really lovely, and yes I did play outside, but it is still too early to do anything serious. Like dig in the dirt. Because it'll dip down again I'm sure, but is so nice while it lasted..
I love manatees. Louise, one time I had to be in Orlando for some kind of thing, and I rented a car and drove all over everywhere after it was over because i scheduled my flight out of I can't remember where, but not Orlando. Anyway, I came to a little town called Deland, I think, and there was a couple that I knew who had a small resort on what...the St Johns River??? Can't remember now. Anyway, whatever river it was, it was full of manatees. I could stand on the dock and see them, I was so excited,. Major, major no wake zone there. They are not beautiful, but so very very sweet. Spent a couple of relaxing days there, then came back to work. Too many years, maybe 10 for me to remember all the details without looking in my journal, but I did love the manatees.
I sure get wordy when I am tired, don't I? I could have just said I love manatees and left it like that,
You all doing OK? Am sure you are warm wayyy down south, Louise....and Ngam...really has been nice this last part of the week, but I am sure it is shortlived.
Phoebe, sorry, I got really busy catching up on articles, and just now popped up for a much needed break. Anyway, I tend to shut myself up in isolation when I write then come out when I get desperate. Now i am desperate and have given myself a few days off.
Where's Pixie....miss her, too.
Hugs to Columbus, PV!
And Sophie, too of course.
Hi Sharon, we miss you but forgive since you come up with these amazing articles in your absence. ^_^
Sophie is doing great, continuing in her ability to wrap Brian around her finger. lol Will post more pictures in a say or two, need to down load them to the PC first.
We love it when you get 'wordy', Sharon.
Hurray for that phone call. LOL. I would have stammered something that probably wouldn't have made any sense.
I want a bunny, but without all the responsibility. Can that happen? No, I didn't think so. If I didn't have a job, but still the same money coming to me as if I did, then I would have bunnies, guinea pigs, rats, maybe even a ferret. Definitely a pig. Always wanted a big pig. No time now! Sigh!
Sharron, that sounds like a mighty fine sight to see all those manatees congregated in one area. Delightful! I have been to Florida about 6 times and have yet to see manatees. Next time I go I want to go on one of those manatee tours where they take you to see them. I have been wanting to do that but have chosen to do other things before. Next time will be the manatees.
Yes, Louise, please get pictures!
Karen
If you want to see Manatees go to Blue springs state park on the St Johns River in winter but do not go on a weekend.
Nuts, don't forget a chinchilla. I chinchisat last weekend. They are adorable and very entertaining!
I imagine it was very soft, venu. I think I would like to cuddle that.
I went to a hort show today and they had baby bunnies I got to hold one, they are so soft and so cute
Ok all you manatee fans.......we took a picnic lunch yesterday and I wobbled around in my waining vertigo state, holding onto the rails carefully while Hank took a few shots of the gentle giants swimming in large masses. It was impossible to see any of them up close as they were all just under the water, but here are some shots to show you how many there were. What is alarming that you will see in the pics is how many propeller cuts are visible on all of them. The light colored marks are cuts that have healed. Manatee Park is a very cool place.
Celeste, I hope Sophie doesn't mind me hijacking her thread for a few of these pics! Be sure to show them to her so she'll feel included! LOL
