Sophie's Saga....The Journey Continues

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

My God! She is SSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO beautiful Celeste! Look how big she's gotten! You've really got to post some pics of her on Bunspace!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

LOL She's such a good bunny, very clean and oh so gentle!!

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

Throw a piece of banana in Bubbles dish too! The carbs will do her good in the winter weather. Bunny's also like pineapple and papaya--it keeps their digestive systems from becoming upset--which they are prone to do. I use papaya tabs-1 a day. Every morning When I get up, Columbus' little head pops up--he expects his daily banana chunk first thing every morning--so cute!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Sophie has yougart chips..I was told to give her one a day but she doesn't always want it. Good to have other things to offer her, thank you!!

North Augusta, ON

awww...she is too sweet!!

I weally, weally want a wabbit!!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

They really do make great pets. Sophie loves to be held....I think it's because she's always had human contact.

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

Maybe we should plan a DG Wabbit Wound-up!

North Augusta, ON

I'd get one in a heartbeat if it weren't for the 7 cats and 2 dogs...although it could be interesting...

LOL Phoebe!!

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

That's one of my all time favorite pics Celeste!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Thanks Phoebe, brave rabbit!

Lee Ann....to be honest I would never leave them alone for a long period. The dogs look at her like she would be a blast to play chase with. ^_^

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

She's just gorgeous Celeste. I don't think I have ever been so smitten with a rabbit... or a wabbit!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

lol

what a cute pic my dog would eat the bunny being the jack russel he is lol

Thomaston, CT

Terriers cannot be trusted with other animals, usually---my first 2 airedales chased everything, disposed of a 40lb. raccoon, amongst other things! This dale is better with animals, but that's not saying too much! Thanks for the photos, Pixix-DH enjoyed them---he thinks Sophie's ears are much longer than his bunnies ears were.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I keep saying I hope she'll grow into them but they keep growing with her!! lol

my jack names buddy loves our cat they are the same size and sleep on the couch together at xmas time a cousin came to visit and brought his shnoodle and when he went after the cat buddy freaked out and got between the cat and the other dog and then proceeded to chase the other dog all over the house

buddy thinks OJ the cat is his, they play together and all is well, but if another animal comes into the yard he goes insaine but he has never hurt another animal will chase and knock them over that all

Mona in Metcalfe, ON(Zone 5a)

buddy is now three it has taken that long to get him to be a good dog I got him from a friend that owned a pet ship someone dumped him there at about 4 weeks old we figure he came from a puppy mill or something was afraid of people and was not socialize at all would bite everyone and chase the kids and bite there heals lol it was interesting I think the only reason my friend gave he to me was because he knew that I would do what ever had to be done to fix all his problems and keep him till he expires of natural causes.

I get so attached to my pet they are like my children lol he is sitting by my side at the moment and looking outside he is great company and always entertaining, he even sleeps with me, now he is good with everyone and just loves people gives kisses and the tail never stops wagging

I have 4 dogs, the oldest one is 11, her name is Tia we call her Momma Girl" as a nickname. The reason??? If you bring a baby into the house she'll nip at the other 3 to keep them away from the baby. Very protective of children....she won't let any playing go on between the dogs when the Grandchildren are over.

isnt my baby handsome ????

my last dog sheba half sheppard and half retriever was like that to the kids would sit on her stick their arms down her throat and pull her tail she would lick them and fallow them all day she passed away five years ago at the age of 15 what an amazing dog she was

when my son was three we went to the cottage and he sneaked away to the beach sheba fallowed him and when we finally found them she kept cutting him off and not letting him get to close to the water she probably saved him he was two and a half was missing for 35 minutes when we found them, my heart was in my throat the whole time he was missing but I knew sheba would not let anything happen to him

the same day we put dead bolts at the top of both door so he could sneak out again

Your furry son is indeed handsome. He is such a wise looking little boy now.

Celeste - those are just beautiful photos of Sophie. I think she is the prettiest bunny I've ever seen. My favorite shot is, of course, the photo of her and "her" dog. LOL Why can't the world learn a lesson from that shot??

Mona - your Buddy is extremely handsome and I love the story of his conversion. Our Molly had a similar rescue story. She had been abused by some out of control children and it took her a very long time to be comfortable around children. When our grandsons were born, we placed them on the floor with her and she seemed to accept that they were hers. Now, even though they are rowdy little boys, she still seems comfortable with them. I feel the same way about pets as you do.......kindred spirits we are, as with so many of our DG friends, including Celeste, of course! Her menagerie of furry critters is proof of that! LOL . I love your story of Sheba protecting your son. Dogs are wonderful that way.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Yes ,Buddy is very handsome!
Thanks Louise, she's almost to brave when it comes to the dogs. She tries preening them! lol

***With a broken heart I have come to tell you Bubbles has died.***
I found her in the road directly in front of my house this morning, she'd been hit by a car. Following her footsteps back I noticed a second set.....a cat. I am sure that is what chased her into the road as the feline footsteps stop at the road.... Bubbles did not.
