I'm really liking the idea of a rabbit...lets see...7 cats, 2 dogs and a rabbit??
Sophie's Saga....The Journey Continues
Don't worry---the rabbit will keep em all in line!
5 chicks. Hmmm.
Victor! Not that kind, unless of course you don't mind spitting out feathers. Never mind....I FEAR the answer!!!!
Great story on Sophie, Celeste. Haven't kept up, as I thought I had put a watch on the previous thread, and thought there had been no posts in some time. Much to my surprise I guess I never did put a watch on the thread, as last night I found this new one. Took me awhile to go through all of this and the last one. Sophie is looking great! So cute, as ever.

Sophie has obviously adopted a great exercise routine. LOL Romeo has ' the look'. I think Romeo may be a closet softy and probably comforted baby Sophie the first few nights after everyone had gone to bed....grumbling and huffy about it all the while though.
Yes, until she bit his tail....now she's one her own!!
Tee hee Sophie has attitude ^_^
Romeo wouldn't eat her, would he? That's not a sweet look on his face.
I'd like to think he wouldn't but i'll never leave them alone together to find out!! lol
Oh, I had guinea pigs once, and cats at the same time. Silly me decided to trust the cats. The guinea pig cage was very large, and no top to it. One of my guineas had babies, and one of the cats got them one day. I felt so awful!!!! They never bothered the adults, though.

I hear ya cousin nut. I had a feral rescue cat once and she studied me flipping the lock on the aviary for weeks. One day I came home to carnage. Talk about guilt. I will never forget it.
Oh, awful!!!!!
I get sick every time I think about it (often) and it happened in 1987. I'm so sorry, I probably shouldn't have mentioned it but I really wanted to add weight to your message. Cats are predators no matter how much we luv them. We should always be aware of that if we introduce other pets into our homes even in what we think is a secure situation. My bolt was a slide and down lock so she had to learn to jump up 3 feet from the ground , flip the lock up and then jump again and again to the same height to slide it out with paw action. She learned how to do that from watching me in just a few weeks. Lets not talk about this anymore 'k?
Okay, we won't talk about that anymore.

Can't believe I got my husband hooked on Sophie's Story---he never looks at the computer---but after listening to me rave on about Sophie, he finally looked at her---he loves her! Of course!
We need a "We love Sophie" fan group on Facebook! lol
OMG....too funny!!!
How bout on bunspace.com ?
lol
It's for real!--Columbus is a member! A lot of bunnies think he is quite handsome!
I think he is handsome also.
Me too.
Ha ha ha! Too funny,,,,,he has an attitude too!!
PMS???? LOL
Columbus is quite the bun-bun. He definately has star potential, so I gues figured that he might as well get the attitude thing down. :^)
What type of bunny is Columbus?
Italian!
The Handsome type. ^_^
I believe she said he's a Lionhead .
Ha-ha-ha! He's a Himalayan Lionhead, who by the way, at 6 am was repeatedly thumping...loudly! Still haven't figured out why.
Wake-up call?
cool...furry alarm clock!
Sophie does it every AM for some reason too.
Hmmm....a clue--perhaps I should take this question to the bunspace forum?
When you find the answer, Phoebe, please report back to us here so we'll all know what is in their adorable little heads when they start the thumping. Remember the character Thumper??? I guess it's just part and parcel of being a bunny!
I know it is meaningful behavior...of what is what I do not know! Will post any info I get.
I found this excerpt from this website: http://www.fuzzy-rabbit.com/behaviourfaq.htm
Why do rabbits thump?
Rabbits thump their hind feet to signal danger. Some rabbits will thump one foot on the ground, some will thump both hind feet at the same time. Rabbits aren't very vocal so thumping is their way of communicating. Usually this means they have heard something odd and it could be potentially harmful e.g.. A cat outside the door. Sometimes when you surprise rabbits they will thump at you to show their displeasure at being caught unawares. Thumping can also be an expression of displeasure, for example "Don't ever pick me up and hug me ever again!".
