Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

Thanks Kathy...

Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

Well back to my movie and skeching..

Will check in after a bit..

Fostoria, OH(Zone 5a)

Donna, they are wonderful. I know Stacey will be one happy person when she sees those. It is a good thing their house is a two story otherwise you wouldn't be able to see the house through the cut-outs!
I bet she forgot that she needs to paint them after they are cut out. She has quite a project on her hands.
So...glad they are redoing that bathroom. Since it is on the first floor, for company and I use it the stripes just had to go! While I didn't think the cabinet and sink we all that bad, I know they wanted a pedestal type to take up less room. Stacey and I agree on a lot of things, but decorating is not one of them. Our tastes are VERY different (which makes sense since I am near 70 and she is 30).

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Donna...great drawing jobs! Did you mean to leave Eyeore's tail off? ^_^

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good day sistahs and nieces!
Look at Heather... we've turned her into one of us!!! Making her 'coffee demands'. Thanks for the biscuits and honey, and I got sugar free maple syrup, from Cracker Barrel :D

Hi Sis Deborah.... how's your fight with the ciggies? Judy just quit smoking, you both can share experiences and do call me anytime for that talk.

Susan, stick to doctor's orders. What's bad is the weather aggravate our infections more. Seems everyone around me having sinus congestion bad. And if you worked with the public, you really can't recuperate fast enough. Fortunately, Kel's immune system is pretty good, his secrets are lots of onions and garlic. Not me, just a cyber 'achoo' will set me back..

Good Lord Debra.. hope with what you got to accomplish in a short period, won't rob your sleep!! Puhleez take your B vitamins.. with a Merlot chaser ;) If I'm living close by, I'll certainly lend you a hand.
But your DD can be assured of a smooth and beautiful wedding under the capable hands of her mother :D

Stacey, do you have a period style for your furniture, or anything that pleases your eyes.
I'd like to have a couple of Stickley's but the cost... right now it's a la MIL's castaways!!!

Ooh Betty, I can't wait to see what BJ made for you!! She had to be restrained into sending them out to you early!!!!!!!! If not you'll be celebrating 2009 in November 2008!!!

That's the problems our French family has BJ, when coming down here. Getting used to the Imperial units.. Now I'm familiar with kilos and metres, thanks to them :D
So, BJ... tell Michael, whether he likes it or not, he has a bunch of American aunties here!! You and Don will be the bestest hosts and mark my words, AFS will put you at the top of their list next year!

Hello Cookie.. are you through with the heavy paperwork.. so could play more now?

Sis.. I've so enjoyed the talk.. wished I'm there for a good plate of guinea jambalaya. We're right here and you got our numbers anytime you want to talk.. and I mean anytime.. In fact, don't need a reason.

Donna, you are an awesome artist! Stacey is one happy Tinky!!!!
BTW, we had thought of getting a German Shepherd before we got Lola.

Lol Janice, don't tempt Stacey to make them as tall as her house!

Audrey, the card went out to Lisa. Hope she won't be scared getting mails from strangers. Prepare her will ya. You've seem not to be depressed lately, hope your meds do work for you.

Hi Cody.. I know you're lurking.. :D

Hi LK.. I like the pattern you chose, it's so perfect for 2 colours too.

Maid M.... our venerable Maid.. where are you?????????

Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

Hehehe I cant wait until Stacy gets online today...lol I finished 2 more but needed to get cleaned up to go get Tristen shortly since its an early release today..

Janice I to think its agreat idea to re-do that bathroom.. I like to decorate somewhat simple (like we live).. Our indian heritage and gowing up in ohio has a big influence on what we put in the house too.. MY dream is to one day have a cabin in the mountains away from the hustle and bustle.. I hate living in the city and would be happy as a bug in a rug on 10 acres working the land.. We installed a edastel sink and I love it.. Does tae away from storage but thats okay with me..

Didnt realize eyore's tail wasnt there... :) I went from the clip art she told me she liked so I guess I will have to check that out..

Betty cant wait to see what you recieved.. Im waiting to hear my partner got theirs.. Should be today or tomorrow.. Mailed out monday priority so Im just waiting...

O here is one of the last two I just did..

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Jaye, I did tell her to expect a card from you, I think she was pleased!
The podiatrist took off both sides of both bigtoenails, and killed the roots. Supposed to keep them up, so I'm going to bed!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Believe and one day you'll have that cabin in the mountains Donna. There's so much of our native Indian culture that we don't know about.
Did you take art courses.. or it's just something you're born with? My two younger brothers are very musically gifted. At a very young age, they could listen to a song and play the whole song right away on the keyboard! Envy that kind of raw talent.

Ouch ouch triple ouch Audrey!!!!! With my diabetes, I have ugly toe nails... will be wearing socks at BJ 24/7!! Ouch again Audrey!!

Looks like everybody's busy. Kinda nice and warm outside, think I'll play with the kitties for some R & R.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Donna, I wish I had your talent, even half of it! Very nice job.
Audrey, your toes will be sore for a few days, but be very careful, not to bang them on something, or we will hear you cussing down here in Texas! ^_^ How is your knee doing today?
Marion, are you just lurking today? How is your knee, and sinus' doing today?
Jaye, how are you doing today? I think I like the pattern, just trying how to put a little color in it, but I think I can make one of the little middle squares red or green? I will get some fabric, when I am in San Antonio on Friday. Yippee!, I get to go fabric shopping again. I only have 2 black and white pieces, in my stash, so I need to add to it. Oh the agony of having to go shopping! Someone has to do it.
Bj, let us know how it went with the visit please?

LK

Fostoria, OH(Zone 5a)

Yes, Linda Kay, I know you will put on a stiff upper lip and dive right into that fabric shopping. You are so good to do that without a word of complaint. We know how brave you are! Hehehe
I'd trade places in a quick minute.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Wish you were closer, you could join me?

LK

Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

Audrey do take care of your feet and keep them up.. Glad to hear your doctor is looking after you...

LK Be careful in that store okay... I have a whole tote of fabric a friend gave me & some I bought waiting for me to learn to sew..lol

Thank you all for your nice comments about my sketches.. My junior year in school I went to a commercial art vocational school to brush up with a reccomendation from my art teacher.. I have always been arty along wit hmy mom and sister.. Seems we all 3 have similar talents but Im the only one who still does anything other than cut hair (they are both barbers too).. Senio ryear Tony came along and I had to pass on a tuition paid offer in Pittsburg for art college but hes oe choice I never regreted. I got my diploma with straight a's ( a month after he was born) and worked my full senior year.. Moved out and have been working ever since until now.. No regrets although I would love to take some college art courses some day..

As for my cabin in the mountains.. .. I know we will ge there some day just have to work towards it one day at a time..

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Well, I took a nap! I'm up again, but I may lay back down. I think the feeling is coming back in my left toe. RRRRR!!!! He said it might not hurt a bit, but I don't believe him! He was very good. He kept talking to me while he was deadening my toes, and I only felt a little of the medication, and you know how bad that hurts!! It was very interesting to watch, it was effortless on his part. Then he asked me if I wanted to keep the nails he'd cut out! YUK!!! I didn't want them while they were attached to my toes!
I bought bandaids, but they're not big enough to cover the whole tops of my toes. Maybe I can use 2 together. I should have bought bandages.
Boy, I wish I'd gotton some butter pecan icecream while I was in W*M!!
BYE!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

I am here but having trouble. I have posted several times today but when I sent I get kicked off. Thought maybe you had set a "booby trap" for me.

Yeap LK, labels all done, on envelopes, sealed and mailed.

Will be back later, dinner out tonight!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Marion, you have a lot of problems with your ISP server. Sorry you keep getting kicked off! Glad to hear your done with your mailings.
Audrey, you take care of that toe. If you have some old socks, I would use them for bandages, or maybe some old t shirts, you can tear up? Take care.

Darn you're back from shopping already, LK? That's fast! I'd be in the shop till they turn off the lights!!
Marion, sometimes I have the same problems.. but only with DG. Must be the traffic here.

Off to pick up my prescriptions. Stay off your toes Audrey. One time I'd say.. reach for the Bailey's!

Cya'll later!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Oh Donna-they are Awesome-I did notice the tail on Eeyore and the whiskers on Tigger, but I am glad that you got Eeyore fixed:) I LOVE them!!! I may have to shave a smidge of Donalds waistline-he is looking a little chunky monkey!!LOL I LOVE them!!!!!!!!! I will have to print off color pics too so I can have them right next to them as I paint! I can't wait to get crackalackin!!!!

Jaye-I don't really have a "taste" per say unless it is comfy!! The 1/2 bath will have off white walls, w/ the new 3 light, light fixture, a pedastal sink with some ivy vines stenciled on, some laminate flooring that looks like natural stone (tile is too much of a pain for that small bathroom!!), a basket for extra TP, and the pics are of a simple floral design-hints of plum and fern green.....for the mirror that will be a challenge-we want either a triangle or a diamond shaped mirror.....

Victoria Harbour, ON

Oh/oh batteries are dead...going for hot bath/something to eat, into my jammies and work on my rag quilt watching the blizzard as I'm waiting for batteries to charge just enough for a few photo's...sorry!

Pangburn, AR(Zone 7b)

L K
Did you see the note I left you on he last thread? Here it is again.
LK you aren't done yet. Oh, no, not by a long shot. I have a few more suprises headed your way. Just you wait. You won't know what, and you won't know when another little something will be heading your way. hehehehehe
I am going to spread it all out. I have till the 16th now. LOL
Cathy >^.,.^<

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Well our AFS coordinator is an absolute doll... love her to death already. She seemed impressed with the room he'll occupy... his own private bath, walk in closet, king size bed... sitting area. She said he'll be spoiled rotten before long, and won't want to leave. I promised to try not to smother him... but I do tend to get a bit protective. Don will keep me in check though... so, I think we'll be fine.
Actually, there's one young lady that they haven't placed yet, and my oldest son and his wife are thinking it over tonight if they want to take her. She is such a lovely lady from Argentina, 18 yo. We'd have taken her, but she's deathly afraid of frogs... and guess what we have an abundance of living by a lake... LOL... too bad.

Dang, Michael arrives NEXT FRIDAY... time sure is flying.

Betty... sure hope those batteries get enough of a boost soon.

Well, I have dinner on the stove, so I better get back in there.

Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

Marion I wandered where you have been today... I had that problem on yahoo ojust a few minutes ago.. I cant even log on to my messenger..

Stacy No need to print off pictures as I will be sending the ones I show along with them.. I didnt do the whiskers simply beause they are so amll but I can add them if you like with no problem.. I thought donald looked alittle chunky too and tried to cotrrect it but not quite enough though.. Im glad you like them...

BJso glad everythng went well.. Afraid of froggs huh.. Well I have to say that is one thing I have never heard of anyone being afraid of... Learn something new everyday..

Audrey glad you got some rest..

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Oh yeah-a boy to play with at auntie BJ's!! Oh happy day!!!LOL

Donna-I don't like them-I LOVE THEM!!!!^_^

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Linda Kay, Honey, it's BOTH feet! You better believe I'd sample the Bailey's if I had any! I don't have any "old" socks! I went back to W*M and got a small roll of bandage. He said they would ooze for a few days.
I talked to Lisa today, she sounds better! Her friend took her home with her so she could make sure she's still breathing! She definately needs to be on oxygen daily! And at night!
Think I'll go back to bed!

Coushatta, LA

Hi Jaye sorry i was not on long.Iwent to the Dr. today.I tried to call you i guess you where still gone.

Ferndale, AR(Zone 7b)

BJ, that sounds so exciting! You will make a great host family. Afraid of frogs? What kind of application do those kids have to fill out? LOL!

Audry, take care of those feet. Follow the doctor's orders!

Donna, your Disney characters are so cute. Wish I had 1/2 your talent.

Joyce, the MOB dress was posted somewhere but it doesn't matter - it's changed! Found one better today. No photo yet but will try to get one later.

What a day! Did find a MOB dress that is much better than (any of) the others I've brought home. Did get up at 4:30am as posted above. DD called and wanted me to meet her at a lingere shop later in the morning. Met her around 11:00am and this is how the rest of the day went until about 5:30 this evening:

Went to two lingere shops for DD to try on undergarments to wear under her weddng gown so we can schedule the fitting. Took the 'possibles' to the bridal shop, decided on the final choice, found my MOB dress and a necklace to wear with it, scheduled fittings for both of us and the bridesmaid, returned the unused garments to the two lingere shops, took a lamp from a decorator shop on approval for DH's office, returned some fabric swatches for possible drapery, took the lamp to DH's office and it looked great, then came home. Now looking for a glass of wine!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Cathy, you should not do anymore. I love the magazine. But since it is probably in the works, I will sit and wait for more to come. Thank you so much!
Audrey, OUCH! both toes, is double the OW!!!
Stacey, your new bathroom sounds like it is going to be very nice. I like the sound of the round or diamond mirror. And pretty colors too. Looks like your going to be busy with your new saws, and paints, getting ready for the holidays next year! Donna, the drawings are awesome!
Bj, glad to hear everything went well. Sounds like you will have company sooner than you think!
LK

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

sis, i enjoyed the talk too. need to do it more often.

sissy, thanks for letting me vent and yell at you.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Well, I'm tellin' ya!! If any of you can't have enough of our Southern sistahs with drooling sweet accents.. talk to Cody!
Her voice is so angelic and I feel like an old crow!!!!!!!
Cody, it is certainly so refreshing talking to you. We got to chat more often.
Debra, I'm tired following you around!!!! How many more weeks till the wedding? So, on your resume, you should list Wedding Planner too.
If Cathy wants to spoil you LK, what's wrong with that? That's what sistahs do.. right Sis??
Yep Sis Kathy, one thing nice about phone chats.. you don't even have to wear a paperbag!! Tell Mike he's the BESTEST FIL anyone can have.
Maid M.. strictly salad tonight! And allow yourself a handful of pistachios. Cody lost a lot of weight too by just being active.. think these old legs can handle that?

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Jaye I had to get some help with my nicotine addiction. Went to my family doc yesterday and he prescribed Chantix. It latches onto the nicotine receptor in the brain and blocks the bodies craving for nicotine. I take a weeks worth of pills the on the 7th day I stop smoking and continue to take these pills for 12 weeks. My specialist (you know the one I speak of) doesn't recommend me stopping cold turkey nor with out help. The best help will be for my sisters to pray that I have the courage and strength to follow this through.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Sis Debra, remember your favorite saying.. tell the storm how big your Lord is;)
Then there's the serenity prayer that could be your mantra.. we'll say it together here.
"Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change
Courage to change the things I can. And the wisdom to know the difference."

You have our full support and don't ever think you're imposing if you need to call.
