Well I had the whole nose thing going one and cough then with running with DIL and son as her Granny died I got the crap in my lungs really good the doc said and also my sinus... Now taking steroids, anitb. cough meds, and a ton of other stuff.... Yesterday was my first day back to work since the 23 of Dec... Boy was I tired... either from hacking from the animals that came in yesterday that smell awful... We have a cat trying to die and also a dog... We want them to take them to the specialty clinic but they didn't want to .. We can only do so much where we are... One is a dog and this poor girl is awful and her owners are Doctors and they don't believe in putting them down as they like to let nature take it course... I am hoping to have a short day today so I can rest... My youngest son has been home for 2 weeks and also has had this lung and sinus stuff but he is a "Man" and is dieing... I am so glad he went home and now he tells me he will be back on Thursday... Lord help me...LOLOL
Ok I am going to put my feet back up and try to catch a nap before I have to go to work... Just did not want you all to think I died or did not want to be here... Thankfully I only work 3 days a week... I am bringing Vick's with me to work today to help curb the smell of the animals.... hope it works...

MORNING!!!!! I will have to take pics of it after and then I would like to get the dining room done too-that one will be about $300 (the light fixture I want is $130), then painting, new crown molding, beadboard on the bottom 1/2 and a chair rail-colors, bleached sand and khaki....

Bisquits! Yum. Been up since 4:30am. Had coffee but nothing to eat yet.

Had wedding planning on my mind and couldn't sleep. Since 4:30 I've ordered postage online, confirmed the save the date magnets were ordered (should have been ordered about 3 months ago), reviewed the quotes for chair covers and sashes, sent a long email to DD with 'things to do today', and am now reviewing the final invitation lists. We were doing so well last summer - then DD's fall classes started, then the holidays, and now we are waaaay behind. It all hit me last week how we let so much time pass and now we (me) are in a panick.

Susan that makes me sad about the poor dog. Well, more mad than sad. I don't understand people who won't end an animal's suffering when it's within their power to do so.

Laura, nice choice! Is it a wall hanging or stepping stone?

Phyllis, don't wear yourself out. What do you do after you transport the team? Do you do a lot of waiting?

Oh Stacey. I am with Janice and your DH also. Them stripes have to go. I do like the color but I am not a stripe person. I know you will come up with a very nice look when you are done. I am in the process of re doing my bathroom also, Just not sure of the color I want to use, It is pretty small so no dark colors and it is the quest bath room so it needs to be gender neutral. The counter top is ughhhhhhhhh formica blue. I can go to Habitat for Humanity and get a new cabinet and sink and replace it.

Kathy hang in there hunny. I so know the turmoil you are going thru.

Stacey o worries on your drawings.. I enjoy it and its relaxing for me to draw.. I printed almost all the goodies out on paper last night but need to go after more ink..
On your bathroom I have to say I think it would make me have vertigo too...lol I cant do tight spaces and those stripes I would be done.. Our bathroom is still in progress but we had to gut it and replace everything including the floor joist and studs in ceiling and wall.. Its been a pain in the A**... :) We are doing the dining room next too but its as bad as the bathroom.. Uggghhh to love this house.. It already looks like a different house next year gong to be a huge difference..

ok, i'm here. my daughter will be coming home with me after she finishes her 28 days. right now she is not stable enough to travel without meds. when she signed herself into rehab, she had been on a 3 day binge, and had to be restrained and sedated. the nurse said she was a total mess.


sissy had surgery yesterday. the vet called last nite and said both her kneecaps were bad, so he fixed them both and tightened a ligament in the leg she favors. he wants to keep her a couple days, cuz he says i have enough to deal with

thanks to everyone for the prayers. i pray no other mother has to go threw this, allthough i know alot of you have.

Happy Wednesday Morning to all. Well Sorry about not being on just so much to do and than my sister and her Husband came and spent the night. I can't stand him but you can't pick your relative What a shame.
There are still here so I will tell the story later I think he is just using her and her money
Well I have to go tan and take my sister to Kohls So I will be gone for a while.
Kathy I no what you are going though as MY sister was at that place in drugs and here name is Kathy. It takes a very long time and lots of help But you beng such a great Mom will help.

I went out and picked up my past income statements from the barbershop and was going to run and dod a few ther things but the weather didnt agree. It started storming to beat the ban and even have wind and lightning.. I guess I really need to watch the weather more often..

So I am home for the day until 2 when I have to pick up Tristen since its an early release day...
Think Im going to craft a bit and maybe even take an afternoon nap if I can sneak into bed without waking up max.. He worked until 7 this morning (12 hour night).. Im sure hes snoring up a storm but the door is shut and I refuse to bother him...lol

Morning, blizzard going on here this morning..just minutes before leaving for the city I thought I'd go on the front deck to add birdseed so the little birdies will have energy food to get them through the day...imagine my surprise when I opened the door to find a parcel..now how many days could it have been sitting there...not sure as I don't use the front entrance at all...

A parcel from BJ..how exciting..as I had just got the call to meet Suzanne for our trip in I couldn't take photo, just went through the box in excitement and know what fun it will be to get home and enjoy it's content..oh happy 2009...


Bet you all would like to know what was in it...1st item I came across is a carry all bag made in rag quilt method with 'Betty Boop' theme so I can carry my craft work to work..how talented you are B.J. an oil decanter,some lovely kitchen towels with rooster theme, rooster egg timer ... the cutest bird stakes which will have a place of honor in my DG friendship garden, clip on light, just many 'treasures' so wanted to sit and enjoy for awhile but had to run...

So please join me tonight as I post each and every item..

BJ you are a 'sweetie' each and every item you thought out to please me knowing my interests as described on other threads...that's what I call a true sistah...

Yes, Betty... your package was delivered yesterday... so it didn't sit there long. I do hope you will like all those things... I had to close the box before I found something else to squeeze in there.

The AFS coordinator is suppose to be here in about an hour... you think I'm on edge? You should see Don... he's pacing back and forth between the house and his shop... hmmm... and he tells me "it's no big deal"... LOL.
Our application was approved yesterday, and the background check was completed this morning... so, I guess we're pretty much approved... the coordinator is just coming out to bring us a pack of orientation materials, and I guess to see for herself that our house isn't a dump...

I've emailed Michael and his parents. Michael has emailed me back with a ton of questions... like, what is there to do here for a teenager? I think I've answered most of his questions... but he thinks the biggest problem he's going to have is getting used to Fahrenheit, miles, feet and pounds.

I'll check back this afternoon.
