I will pass the bottle as this works much better then Nyquil... I mean I would not go out and drive a car or anything after doing this.... But nor would I if I took Nyquil... My lungs feel much better now ... Now I have to work on my sinus.. I hate that... I have never had this but only one time and this I don't like...

Yeah with this wacky weather everybody is getting sick.

Yes, I had to wait until after I picked up Sean tonight before taking any of my meds, cause I wouldn't drive after the use of either choice.

Trisha,that was a very smart choice to do.Now you know you hopefully get a good night sleep.

Once I take Nyquil I definitely do not have a problem sleeping....don't know if it helps the cold, but it sure puts me to sleep.

When you get a cold do you ever go to the doctor for it?I know i have to that is the only thing that put me down.I never get the flu or anything like that.It is always my sinus that makes me feel bad.When it does i go to the doctor to get two shots and they put me on meds.I have to so i can take care of my baby.

No I don't go to the doctor unless it gets really bad, we don't have any kind of health insurance right now...my sister in law is an RN and we have several good friends who are Doctors, Doctors Assistants and Nurses....so we do get some good medical advise and would go in for treatment if they thought we should.

I go to the doctor and at this stage they would shoot me up with steroids as I have allot of allergies... I get tired of them after awhile.. This one I am just taking care of myself... I have good insurance so it is not that... I just get tired of doctors...LOL

PS. I know it must sound like I am a drinking fool but I am not... When I cough like this I can take codeine cough meds or Markers Mark and sugar... I think the last works better and taste much better also...

Well, I finally got to sleep about 2 and had an awful dream, so I was awake in bed at 6:15, tried to go back to sleep and couldn't so I am up and about-gonna play for a little bit, then go shower and do the laundry before my Sunday 8:30am call to my mom...

Every time I get sick it always moves to my sinuses and my ears, so I always have to go to the Dr...I always get an antibiotic and that is about it. For my allergies I only have Nasonex which I only take when I REALLY need it. The other stuff I was taking was making me drowsy on my way into work, so I stopped that-and it was Claritin non drowsy...hmmm....

And a little funny this am-I got up, took care of last nights dishes and cleaned up in the kitchen while my coffee was brewing. Took the creamer out of the fridge and started shaking it-DH hadn't closed the lid this am, so guess what happened....yup-you are right-french vanilla creamer all over our fridge and the floor and the cabinet next to the fridge-yuck!!

thanks for the recipe sis. i butchered 3 guinneas yesterday, the others go today. they won't stay out of the road, and are trying to kill my peafowl.

O stacy being where you are do you know anyone who may have some morel mushrooms frozen or dehydrated? I miss them so much and cant afford to purchase them off ebay right now.. They should be comming back into season april/may.. If you here of anyone with too much let me know... LOL Long shot I know but hey a girl can try...

Kathy I love peafowl. They are so neat! We had guniies to when I stayed on a farm up north and they are tasty.. Max and I decided we are going to save for a deep freeze so we can start going to the livestock auctions for meat.> We are not allowed to keep chickens or anything here on the property but they cant stop us from buying and butchering our own food.. Nieghbors might freak out a bit but it will be a cheaper way for us to eat while we get ahead. They have our auctions every other week and you can buy chickens for $1-2 each . bunnies, turkeys, pretty much anything.. Need to get my hunting liscense next year so we can go deer hunting..

Hope everyone with colds and sinus infections are feeling better soon. I had done well until DBIL and DSIL came over last night both sick with colds. My head feels congested this morning. I'm going to be bummed if I caught their colds.

We had our annual pajama dinner party with friends last night. DBIL and DSIL joined us for dinner but they didn't wear jammies. We are such goof balls.

Well, I too had a problem getting to sleep last night... but it's not because I was sick... but because Don made a pot of coffee, and I couldn't resist. ARGH... I keep saying I'm not going to do that again, but it's too hard to smell it and not have a cup...

Well, Don was suppose to have the day off tomorrow... but now they have him going in to Dallas to replace the burned out components on that truck that caught on fire last week... since he's the only one locally that has the expertise, and the time tomorrow to do it... so, I'm thinking about going in to Dallas with him to do a little shopping in the big city. It should only take him about 3-4 hours, and I can do a lot of damage in that time.

I love the picture of the 4 of you... So happy looking ... Nice couples... Well my lungs are doing great this morning and my nose is so so... My ears are clogged but I'll live...
We had chickens a several years back and we had one rooster that was so so... Well one morning my youngest son and I were out in the yard and he was on his swing... Well all at once all heck broke loose so I ran to the swing to see the rooster holding on to my sons jacket as he held on to the swing and the rooster was trying to peck his face.. Well that rooster got knocked off really fast and I brought Mike into the house to make sure he was OK and then I went out side with the shot gun and told the rooster he messed with the wrong person.... LOL
OK going to sit and rest today as tonight is the viewing of DIL grandmother... I don't think I should go as I don't want to infect everyone there but I will see...

Mornin' all! I'm out of creamer, they left it out Fri. at Wal*Mart, and I have to go get some TODAY!!! I don't have enough for my last cup! I hope my knee stays better today, I still don't have my tree put away, and all I have to do is put it in the box!! I've been babying that knee!
The roast I cooked yesterday was delicious! I got up at 2 AM and ate more! I couldn't sleep!

Trisha it's no fun being hampered down with either a bad sinus infection or a cold. My sinus has been bad these few months, and I don't take anything for it, but reach for some horse radish to open them up. For allergies, the only thing that worked is doctor prescribed Xyzal®, but makes me drowsy.

Sis, you got me hungry for guinea gumbo! None sells dressed guineas here. Bet you got potato salad on the side. Another good fowl for gumbo is an old rooster.
Yep Susan that rooster will be in my pot.

Donna, my grandma would raise chickens and ducks for meat. They are much better testing than the cold storage ones. We have about 4 acres here, enough room to start poultry farming, but I don't think I can kill any once I give them names :( But I won't mind raising them just for their eggs..

Mornin all. Brrrrrrrrrrrr it is cold today, almost 80 degrees yesterday and now it is 26.

Going to get some sewing done today, if someone will take this Punk boy. Maybe I can keep him occupied with something. To cold to go outside.

Susan I no that you like to keep DIL company but if you and only you no if you should go or stay home. You could wear a scarf over face and just stop by or just stay in the back I hope that you are going to be better before I get there

BJ just go out and BUY BUY BUY I did that yesterday. I went to Target and got myself 2 bathing suit sunglasses and the cutes watering can for my friend up North we call her Pigg's and they had a watering can in the shape of a flying pig I still am not home I send picture when I get there

That is were my dentits is I quite going in IL because I think that they were taking advantage of my insureance I have never needed a root canal and they I telling me I need moreThey also removerd filling that I have had on my teeth so now I am going back to my dentite (SP) of 18 years he now's me.
