That's what I'm trying to do, unfortunately, I can't bend nor kneel nor squat, so digging in the dirt is left to hired help. Unless I stand to sew, I am a pretty much sedantary (sp) person. But I try to walk everyday. Hence getting a new treadmill. Not giving excuses.. the side effects of my meds are weight gain.. which in turn aggravate my diabetes.. so.. I'm taking this very seriously this year.

Just waiting on the Thursday night game. I was wanting to watch the LSU game but forgot all about it until I had read here that they had played the night before :(

I like football as long as I win the pools one more to go and that will be the SUPER BOWL at Turtle-Chi house but I will watch it with her DH she go's hides We Yell to much hopefully He will have a very good Cigar for me at Half time.Susan do I have Southern Comfort there?

You football ladies, crack me up.....That is one sport I will never be able to sit and watch or understand.

Lets see what am I going to do today? Well, yesterday was Rick's last day of work. Yep he got laid off, but hopefully it's only for a month. So I think I will make his "Honey Do List" lol, yep he is NOT going sit and watch tv all day everyday. I have some yard critters I want cut out, then there are all those buckets to primer. Candles yep in the next day ot two I will be starting the Valentine line. I want to make baskets of lotions and candles,candy etc.

Jaye for inspiration here is a pic of our wedding day. We got married downtown after a quick descision to not have a regular wedding half way through planning when the family bickering started about who, what, where and what we were going to wear...

Tina-Tia, a true freshman led LSU to a win!!!!! Miles should have used him for the other lost games, instead of that Harvard transfer that threw the ball to EVERYONE else except his own team :))

I am all about college football. I just wish it was a longer season. I know them kids need to do their studies also!!!!!!!!!

I also wish there was a different way of making the decisions on who goes to what bowl game. Like maybe a play off!!!!! Maybe one day. I am sure we will be watching the Fiesta bowl also. Gotta root for the Ohio State. Just can not bring myself to root for that LH team!!!!!!!!!!

Never been in a curves before.. The one closest (I could ride my bike there in abut 10 minutes) is never open, never anyne there either..

Pounds wise I couldnt tell you how much. I dont own a scale.. I hate them!

I did my measurements for the second time and have lost an average 4 inches on every measurement but my bust and it was about 2 inches different but I have always had football shoulders ..

You know what Tina, for once I agree with a president. That's what our president-elect says too.. should have a play-off. But with play-offs, the season will be longer.............Hmm..
Time to get my legs moving... see you all in a while! Sis, just tell folks you're Kathy's twin sister!!! Lololol!!

Great 6 pounds is a wonderful start.. I just figure on my end that its not how much I weigh but when Im happy with how I look and my size..

Linda (planolinda) and I had such a good time last night. Our 'one glass of wine' turned into 4 hours of non-stop chatting. We met in the hotel bar and didn't realize how late it was until they turned the lights out on us! Her DH said he would come down and take our photo before I left. Poor guy, Linda had to call and wake him up - we talked so long he had gone to bed. If I hadn't forgotten my own camera we wouldn't have had to wake him up. We have so much in common! She's going to try to come to the Arkansas RU that I host in May - how fun would that be if all of you came, too?!

Deborah, she told me about watching the swallowtail butterflies emerge from the chrysalids you sent her. She was fascinated by them.

Donna, you look great! And probably feel better too? You dropped 10 sizes without even trying? Wow!

The football banter cracks me up.

Tonight is our pajama dinner party. DBIL and DSIL are still in town and will be joining us. Will have to see if they wear pj's. DH requested grilled steaks so the menu will be your basic steaks, potatoes, asparagus, salad, bread, dessert. DSIL is bringing a pecan pie and I'll make bread pudding with butter rum sauce.

All this talk of football--had to cancel my meeting for Thursday night as some team called "Gators" are playing somewhere. LOL Nope they aren't my favorite but can support them better than when "Thow that visor" guy was there. To many football fans will be at the game and not enough for a meeting. Oh well I really am not complaining.

Yeap, Jaye it is a pact. I will eat for you and you eat for me--remember I don't like the hot stuff. I know it will help my knee so I am really going to work at it this year. No longer able to bend or stoop because of knee but let we sit down and I can scoot all over the yard!!!

Lisa so happy to hear you are staying put!! Safety is of the utmost priority when you are alone. Keep checking in with us as we do worry.

Flamingo Kim, how nice of you to do your Dad's carpets. I have gotten where I don't like carpeting any more and have gong to hardwood floors. Much, much easier to take care of for me---especially with kitties.

Sorry I am late today-I had to catch up on other threads (I always save the best for last) and DH had today off too, so we stayed in bed and spooned and stuff for the bulk of the am....

As for WSing, I save containers from the store-like the ones you get sliced breads and stuff in and use them-they work wonderfully:) I use the seed starting mix for the top 1/2 and the cheaper stuff for the bottom 1/2-the seed starting mix is lighter and is easier for the roots to push through as they are starting-I used 1 bag of seed starting mix last year and 2 bags of reg soil-not too expensive at all:)

I finally got my right jigsaw yesterdays and it is sooo pretty!! love the fact it is a scrolling jigsaw, so it does double duty:)

Well, since Trisha's 2009 buddy was born with patience, I know it isn't me!!ROFL!!

BTW-BJ-if I had an exchange student come, they would get my most hated chores-weeding, ironing and dusting....

LOL... ya'll all must think that the reason we want an exchange student is to put them to work around here... hehehe... NOT at all.
BUT, he/she will have chores to do... but we'll have to see what those chores might be when they get here.

Got a call from my quilt shop - beginner quilt classes will start the 23rd of this month and will meet Friday mornings for about 6 weeks. I'll stay after the first class for an hour of instruction on my new machine. Yipee!

oh yeah that one is Nice I looked at it online but the closest dealer was texarkana or dallas and I knew mom didnt want to go that far ...not sure on price but I know the top of the line in berninas is like 12 thous. and pfaff was under that and babylock under that LOL

Donna, I have painted one Car, never again…..I have done a lot of bicycles and I gave that up too. Not a fun job even with a compressor and spray gun…….

Weight…yuk….I am going to have to back to getting rid of some weight….I did real well at one point but I have started creeping up and am stuck at 155…..not going up not going down……guess I should be happy I didn’t gain back the whole thirty pounds…..if I’d just shut my mouth I would probably take of the last ten….again….and again……
