Kim the Exotic sent me a really nice Thomas Kinkade Night Light for my 2009 gift... It's really lovely, Kim... Thank you so much.
I'd show you a pic of it, but Don seems to think the electric plugs are suppose to go upside down... up until now, it's not been a problem... but when a night light has a right side up, then it's now a problem.
Oh, I just thought of something... I can take a pic, then flip it before I post it... bbiam.

LOL... believe me... you'll need that light in in the middle of the day sometimes... I really have the worse windows in the world here. Except for the sun porch windows, I almost don't have any.

Same here. We're slowly replacing the windows with bigger ones, to bring more sunlight in.
Don't you worry BJ, we'll bring our own flashlights :D

I've already stocked up on flashlights... and batteries... LOL.

I did talk with Kathy after her appointment yesterday. The surgeon said the lump was nothing more than a cyst...however, when they did the mammogram they found a mass on the side of the breast. She goes in on the 15th for a biopsy. The Dr. told her not to worry, and said he wasn't worried about it. But continued prayers are needed for our Sistah.

LOL, I did't make it to midnight as a matter of fact I barely made it to 8:30 hee hee and Rick wasn't far behind. I have not been able to stay up past 10:00 in ages. Man I'm really getting old, lol.

Anyhoooooo, so far my year has strated out great. Went to check bank account and found a deposit for back SSD, wooohoooo. So beings we didn't go out last night we are going out for breakfast, then going to take down tree and decos then I'm locking myself in my hobby room because Rick is going to watch football ALL day YUK!!!!

Jaye, how was the LSU game? I didn't know they were playing or would have checked in on the game. Remember I told you everyone one from DH's family graduated from LSU (except DH) - we learned at dinner the other night that future DSIL's father also graduated from LSU. They live in Slidell now. Soooo ...... DD and I have both married into LSU families.

DSIL and I went 75% off shopping at Garden Ridge yesterday for Christmas stuff then had lunch. Mostly bought decorations for future themed Victorian Santas and wreaths (mardi gras & LSU for example). Met DD later and may have found my mother-of-the-bride dress! Went upstairs to find shoes to match and thought I found a pair - didn't look at the price before paying for them (they felt like cheap shoes). Gave them the credit card and was shocked when the little credit card machine wanted me to sign for a pair of shoes that cost $349.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL! Guess I should look first. Obviously, didn't buy them.

My big New Year's Eve consisted of me and the dogs watching a Tina Turner concert on tv. Stayed up until 11pm. Whoo Hoo! It was nice and quiet. Cooked our black eyed peas for today. DH and his brother were on a hiking trip - sleeping in 20 degree temps. Yeah, they're nuts! I'll take the peas to DFIL's for dinner tonight with DSIL. We will have left over ham, black eyed peas and cornbread.

Marion, hope your eye is better today. Take care of yourself. How is your knee? Your elf hat photo is the first photo I've seen of you. You look just as I imagined - kind eyes and smile.

I spent yesterday sleeping off and on and then DH got home at 2 mins B4 12, so I guess we celebrated the new year together-we haven't celebrated a new years or the day after together in many years-always just little ole me, so really theses 2 days mean nothing more than a day off.....

Joyce-thank you-I was about to call her and give her the what for since she didn't call me yesterday!!

Are those egg rolls made with 250 y/o eggs?? I don't think I have any quite that old in the fridge....tee hee hee

Well I stay at my sisters for a while than I went to the Bar for a drink and was home and safe by 9:30 I did mix drinks But I don't feel to bad I need to eat And make some fresh coffee I am drink yesterdays.
