I'm gonna try to be up till midnight.. Not going to pop any firecrackers, just have a couple of apple cider toasts.
Those of you that will be spending it alone, I'm here. We'll celebrate the evening together.
Kel says he's taking me out for a New Year's eve dinner, so, I'll be home around 9. It's 3.29 pm my time now.

Wish I had you all when I went through my first divorce. It wasn't painful, nor ugly, but I felt like a pariah... Didn't have any emotional support.

Cindy if you like ribs in slow cooker, get some riblets and cook in a couple tablespoons of soy sauce, some liquids and brown sugar. Easy recipe but delicious. The amount of soy sauce depends on how salty you want it. Add quartered onions, a few cloves of garlic too. I sometimes add slivered ginger. (I see Kimarj drooling over the word ginger)

Kim, you be safe on the road. One good thing about you, you've been posting often so we know you're okay.

I'm going to post my New Year Poem here, since this will probably be our last page of the year...

Now I lay this year to rest,
I tell myself I did my best.
I made some dear and loving friends.
We laughed and cried, like chatty hens.

And now we enter a brand new year,
Of fun and swaps and grins and cheer.
We’ll shed a tear for those who hurt.
We’ll pray for those who need support.

My prayer today, and all year long,
For each to learn a brand new song.
To whisper the words to a sistah in need,
And to hear the tune in every deed.

I pray to take the hurt and pain.
Replace all that with peaceful refrain.
To give us each a sense of success,
And teach us how to accept the mess.

AMEN.

Happy New Year everyone... I don't know if I'll make it till midnight... but I'll try... no place I'd rather be than right here with my sistahs to ring in the new year... except to be with Don, but I can't help that.

Just trying to get the last bit done for tomorrow, run a few errands with Laura, Get the food bought and done for tomorrw, Sage to Visitation with her Mum and then I just want to go back to bed.....with this cold I would call off tomorrow if there was any way to do so......But since there isn't I will just say to all..........

Happy New Year everyone. Haven't even figured out what to fix for dinner tomorrow. Just know that saurkraut will be on the menu. Maybe I will do Polynesian Cabbage Rolls. It's a 250 year old recipe that is a combo of Polynesian and German cooking.

Any way I ordered my sistah's present today, but unfortunately it is on back order, but she is going to get it anyway, it will just take till the middle of January for it to get here.

DGD told me a cute little joke she got out the poppers her other granny sent her.

What do you call a fairy that hasn't washed for quite some time?

Hi all just checking in before our pizza dinner for the new year.. Went and paid bills this morning , went to wally world tp pick up household needs, then on hme to relax for the evening.. Max picked up a bottle of jack and we are celebrating making it through the year with a few whiskey sours at home together after the kids fall asleep for the night.. .

I am looking forward to the new year in hopes that it will be our best yet..

BJ I read your poem over the phone to my mom and she loves it.. Want to hang a copy on her mirror at the barbershop where she works to give her strength wfor the new year when she needs it i thats okay.. Sound slike the making of a new country song. You certainly have a nack with words that is very insparational..

Come on Jaye, got 4 lbs of prime rib and I may do what another suggested cabbage rolls. Yummy. I think I have everything for them. Sitting here Listening to Aaron Neville. I just love how he is so soothing to listen to. Just makes me want to go take a hot long bubble bath and just relax.

Hubby and I will be drinking a few OJ/vodka drinks tonight. Punk Boy with have his usual.......... Chocolate with a bit of milk :)

Briefly checking in to wish all my dear Sistahs a healthy, happy New Year! More laughs, tears, hugs, sighs, quilts, swaps and anything creative minds can come up with.

My half a day ending up being all day then was taken out to dinner. Just got home and am exhausted and a stye of all things on my lower eyelid. I am beginning to feel like I am "hexed". Not, just that time of year (actually early) and allergies starting to raise their ugly heads.

I for one will not make it to midnight. Expended to much energy with the girls again.

We're baaaaaack. Tina-Tia, I wished it's prime rib, and I'll take the end cut. But, Kel wanted a dinner at a seafood restaurant. Had a big plate of seafood platter. Giant fried oysters and shrimps, and the richest scallops, that I can only eat two of them. Still I am thankful that I don't have to cook.

Donna, I used JD in my toddy- helps get rid of the sniffles.
