Pain talk not done. I got food poisoning last night. Got me pretty good. Got little to no sleep. I feel better but am still a bit shaky.

Oooooh! Glad you feel better but...Oh! That stuff sucks big time. I've had it once and never again, thank you very much.

So...my Dr. called me yesterday and wanted to see me then instead of waiting until Monday. Hmm...gets me wondering. I go and she tells me I have a pinched nerve and possibly nerve root damage. What does that mean? I don't know but she has me scheduled for an MRI on Wed. NOT looking forward to that.

MRI's are easy, the results may not be. How can they tell that the nerve is damaged on the MRI? Hopefully the nerve is not damaged, just angry. When my mom had her surgery last Friday (not yesterday) he said the nerve that he thought he was going to cut because of it being damaged turned out it's been pulled the wrong direction for 20 years and he believes that it will correct itself, but told her that there is no way to tell if it's damaged. Maybe it won't show up on MRI because it's too deep inside tissue and what-not.

She wants to do the MRI to make sure I don't have another problem, such as a tumor, cancer, broken bones or something else. It's in the same area I had the compression fracture.

What's funny is, my DD just had an MRI and has been diagnosed with Sciatica!

Huh, wonder if it's in a gene or something.

It could be a genetic thing. Lots of things are turning out to be.

Am feeling better now. Food poisoning turned out to be stomach flu and hit me pretty hard. Now my head twinges but doesn't hurt like it did yesterday. Am almost normal. Yipeee!!!! lol

Yay! I'm glad you're feeling better! There's a bad stomach flu going around and I can't get it cause I don't have any time to take off!

Supposed to rain, but NOT again. I'm tired and cranky. I don't know why, but there it is LOL!

Sharon we all have the right to be tired and cranky. I was very tired and cranky yesterday, but not so much today, just bored and don't want to clean house LOL!

I'm tired, cranky, my head hurts still and I STILL don't want to clean house!! LOL!! I want to get out and run around for a few days but my head won't let me yet. Grrrr...

I've had a little bit of a headache today too.

I hate those mulit-day headaches when even a BC won't help. I feel better today. Got a little attitude adjustment last night. We went to see Fireproof. It was very good.

Ugghhhhh I have to work today...I realllllly want to be retired LOL! But Noooooo I want new furniture more so work I must...sigh

Alright enough whining...off my a$$ and on my feet (to quote my father figure)...

I had an appointment with my Neurologist about 3 weeks ago. He wanted to do a test when he saw I have no reflexes in my right arm. None. It's like it's dead. A week later he did the test and it's not good. I've got a call into the Neurosurgeons nurse (of course they're off) to set me up for surgery. It's the only thing to make the nerves work again and to take away the pain. The pain never goes away. I hate taking the nerve med the doctor gave me, it's already made me gain a good 15+ lbs. I'm mad, surgery should have been done a long time ago.

Well, this is about all my arm can stand. My membership expires in March and I'm not sure where my arm will be. I'm not re-upping it. It would feel like throwing money out the window that we don't have. Not with all the expenses that this surgery is going to cost out of pocket. I'll be back when I know when the surgery is and let you all know the date.

terry - I'm so sorry you are going through all this pain. I just hate hearing this. You are in our prayers. Please d-mail us your e-mail addy that way we can keep in touch.

Amanda, glad you're feeling better and also glad it wasn't food poisoning.

I feel a little better today. Genetics are funny. I'll talk to the neurologist and ask about the possible connection.

Oh Terry, I am so sorry too that you are having to go through this. Just not fair. I'm sad now.

Celia what a good idea! I thought my back problem was genetics but not, the dr said falls aren't genetic.

I'm glad your headache is better today. I want to retire too but they tell me I'm too young and haven't been at my job long enough. Go Figure.

I have a BIL who retired. He never did anything but he retired anyway. Go figure THAT.

LOL I'm going to retire from a job I don't have! LOL

LOL I have decided I like being home. I figured out our finances and we can get by just fine. Now I just have to convince Darrell!!! LOL

LOL!! I would love to retire and move to a ranch where I can own my horses and other animals and do volunteer work. Buuuttt....ain't gonna happen. LOL

Terry, sorry to hear that it has gotten worse!! Keep us updated when you can thru emails if you don't get renewed on here. Meanwhile hang in there!!

Working with the horses again would be perfect for both of us, I think. I miss it. The before dawn feedings, the workouts, stall cleaning, manure shovelling, brushing and combings, hoof cleaning...I miss the whole package.

Yeah, I miss it too! lol. There's something about working with animals like that that really feeds the soul. You can look your worse and nobody cares. You get exercise but it's not a hard workout. And there's nothing like having the horses stick their heads out of their stalls or come running up to the fence to greet you.

Darrell has promised me we'll go this summer. I went over to where the guy lets you ride free and he has passed away. Kind of a bummer. He was nice.

There is someone who owns these two horses and keeps them across the street from us, when they can get into that part of the property. Well it was one pure brown mare except for one small white spot on her left hind ankle. They bred her and she had a beautiful male paint! He's almost as tall as she is now and we feed them carrots and apples when they come over to our side of the fence. They used to be skittish of us but now they wait at the fence and stare at the house until one of us shows up with food and pets LOL

You've done spoiled them!! LOL

I know!! I've never been close to horses, they are so cool! Dave's the one who started feeding them, I would just visit and pet and talk to them. One time me and my neighbor went under the fence and she took her bridal off, it's been on her for years and it's way dirty and worn. She wouldn't let her put it back on, it was hilarious! Every time we tried to do anything with him he would just buck, but he's way gentle taking the food.

Celia – That is awsome that you would be able to retire! We could get by without my salary, but I desperately want new (bedroom) furniture and to pay off my car (not much to go there). We’ve had this crappy furniture for so long I’d like to take it out and burn it, but then we’d have to sleep on the floor LOL!

Pepper – I agree, pets love you no matter how you look! I admire my SIL. She’s a vet and has her own farm with 5 horses (at last count) and dogs and cats, etc… She adopts when others won’t.

I’d love to have a horse, but have no place to keep one. Oh, well…note to self “must visit SIL more often” LOL!

Today I decided to go to Barnes and Noble and spend a ton of money. Well.....I spent less than $20 cause the selection wasn't as good as it normally is. I was really disappointed. But I'm gonna go to their website and get some books. I need gardening books and I didn't see any anywhere. No horse books either unless you count one Dick Francis which I picked up of course. lol

No one's allowed to sleep on the floor LOL!

Dave told me once while discussing my messes that his ex-wife used to do laundry but not put it away and she would have to sleep on the floor because her bed would have laundry all over it. Now that's ridiculous.

Celia I hope you do get to retire! That's awesome.

Dang it's cold in here... He's going to sleep 30 more minutes then get ready. When he leaves I'm cranking that heater.

I know I don't put my laundry up but mine stays in the basket. If it were on the bed and not put up I would just throw them on the floor. LOL!! Beds rule over floors!!

LOL! That's what I used to do, if there's clean clothes on the bed I didn't care, on the floor you go! I'm not near as bad as I used to be, but I have to hang up my work clothes right out of the dryer because I hate ironing lol!

I finally, after years of coaching, got myself so I will hang and fold laundry the minute it's done in the dryer. I hate Ironing, I hate wrinkled clothes, I hate a mess in the bedroom. A mess can be anywhere but the bedroom and the bathroom.

Well, girls, tomorrow is the day. Wish me luck with the MRI.
