What a good idea Pep! I wonder if the lady "over yonder" would like one of her Yorkies walked LOL
Stop and visit, talk all you want. pt 29
LOL!! I think she does some of the walking herself. Why do you think she looks and acts so young? LOL
LOL! Went to Best Buy this afternoon to see if they had any Wii Fits in stock, of course they don't and they don't know when they get their shipments gggrrrrrrr I bet I can find one on line!
You can find them online and I think Wally World has them too. But try Amazon first. Probably cheaper.
I'm going to go take a looksy
I've been lurking. I guess I've been a little down since the "rush" is over and tired from all the activity.
crissy - let us know if you find a Wii...can't find any here either...all sold out.
I hope everyone had a great New Years! We were in bed by 10. Jeff earlier because he had to be at work at 5am on the 1st (double time no serious complaints!).
Back to work today sigh...
Ugh! Back to work...Darrell went back this morning. He had to be up by 5am.
Hi, Sharon!!! Glad to see you back.
I'll look around here in a bit for a Wii for you guys. Sharon, you want just the regular Wii or the Wii Fit like Crissy is looking for?
Yesterday and this morning are kinda downer for me. My new camera is messing up for some reason. When I turn it on the screen is blank. It stays blank even when I take a pic or zoom in or out. But if I do playback it brings up the stored pics. I thought it was the batteries so I charged them all day and night and tried it again this morning. Same thing. So now I gotta figure out what the heck is wrong.
But on the upside my hibiscus bloomed again yesterday and I managed to get a couple good shots of it. It has another bud on it too that will open probably by the end of the week.
Ok, Amazon has both Wii and Wii Fit.
Here is the main page that has all Wii items on it. www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=Wii&x=0&y=0
I did find one in the middle of Dec from a company I found using Amazon without the Fit. I'm thinking about buying a Fit through Amazon too but kinda want to wait a little bit. Best Buy has them for $89.95 but is always out of stock ggrrrrrr
Thanks Ya'll!
Sharon I've missed u.
Pepper - There has to be a setting on the camera that you accidently bumped. You know what...ask Ric or John (Early_Bloomer). They are the camera pros.
I've missed y'all too! I'm getting my butt back in gear. I'm looking into the Wii Fit; seems pretty cool. I've played with a Wii before (har har) LOL!
Yeah, those Wii's are fun!! If our house didn't have so much flex in it we would get one for here but our house moves too much.
I said something about my camera in weather so I'll check here in a bit and see if they came up with something. It finally started working a little while ago but it took some doing.
I don't like my camera, I've decided. A lot of the pictures taken with the flash come out blurry.
That's weird Pep. Maybe it's decided to take a long nap lol!
LOL. I finally worked after I used a certain button a number of times. I've hadn't had a problem since. But if it happens again I will mail it back to the company.
What kind of camera do you have?
We have a Canon Powershot. I gave it to Darrell when I got my Nikon.
I hate Canons. LOL. But I LOVE Nikons!!! I want one of those so badly!! LOL!!
Mine is a Fugifilm S8100. I like it so far.
Nikons are awesome. I don't know how I got along w/o it all this time! LOL I keep finding new things it does.
crissy - check your settings on the camera. You may need to increase the shutter speed...or use a tripod.
I love my Nikon D40X! DH got it for me for Christmas 2007.
I have a Sony 7.7 megapixel. Cheap at Best Buy. I bought it on a whim because my good Kodak isn't compatible with my new computer/Vista. I'm going to save up for a nice camera.
Can never go wrong with a Nikon, can we, Sharon? ☺
Wow. My back is killing me today. I don't know why today especially but man, oh, man!
Crissy, check reviews before you get the new camera. I learned that one the hard way.
Oh I really didn't care, Dave loves Sony brand so it just proves a point that every brand of anything has it's weaknesses. I figure that having a camera that works good is ok until you can afford to have a camera that works great. At least I have a camera LOL!
I'm a paying member of Consumer Reports, I check on everything.
I started a new embroidery thing yesterday evening, it's butterflies on pillow cases, the pattern was already on them, it was a Christmas present. I didn't get to work on them yet this evening because Dave wanted Chocolate Chip Cookies. The things we do for our men LOL
LOL!! I would be more than happy to have chocolate cookies too!!
That pillow case sounds like it's gonna be really pretty.
They look pretty on the picture, and parts of them are white, but they didn't use white embroidery thread, just left the pillow case part un-embroidered. I think I'm going to buy some white embroidery thread and thread them in. I think that would look better.
I am sitting here watching Patrick Swayze's interview with Barbara Walters and I have to say that I really, truely admire this man more than ever.
That sounds like it would work Crissy.
Celia – Nikon’s are great cameras. There is a site called Nikonians.com. Have you ever checked it out? How is your back today?
Crissy – Got anymore chocolate chip cookies? Yummmmm! I can’t sew so I admire anyone that has the patience to do it. Sounds like the pillowcase are going to be very pretty!
Pepper – I admire him, but wish P.S. would quit smoking…
Make the flashythingy go away!
No, Sharon, my back isn't better. I finally had to take a Lortab and lie down. I got up early this morning and it still hurts. I may have to go to the Dr. again.
LOLing loudly at Sweet Pea!!! She's a hoot!
Yeah, I don't like his smoking either but I can understand under the circumstances why he would keep doing it.
Celia, go see the doc. Your back shouldn't still be hurting like that.
LOL at Sweet Pea!!!
I went once about 2 months ago. She told me it was muscle spasms. I said, "No kidding."
It's Sciatica. Pretty painfull. It's from a fall I took some years ago and got a compression fracture of a lower vertebra.
Ouch!!
The fracture healed but now the nerves are letting themsleves be heard. It isn't as bad as yesterday but still there.
Sciatica is very painful.
I recorded that interview and watched the last 20 minutes. It was very touching, I can't wait to see the whole thing this weekend while Dave's at work.
I fell down a stair well on my butt when I was 32. I had a hard time sitting. I could only rest on one cheek then the other LOL! Ended up I had bruised and jammed my tailbone (no break). I'm so glad it's never turned into anything like sciatica.
You're lucky, Sharon. It could have been much worse. Whew! All the stuff that COULD have happened to us and didn't! LOL
All in all, today turned out pretty well. The pain has subsided but I still made a Dr. Appt. Next Mon.
I missed to interview. It sounds like I missed something special.
Yeah, the interview was full of hope and sadness at the same time. It will get to you.
Glad the pain has calmed down. I hope I never get sciatica either!!
Well, we watched the interview when I got home from work, I don't know ya'll. He's really strong and all keeping up with his horses, still working, and his wife LOL. He is a very neat, high energy person. It's really too bad he's having to deal with this. What was your take about it? I sure hope he has a lot longer than it seems. And his wife, what a sweetie!
I have those 2 bone spurs where my back and tailbone connect because of a rollerskating fall I took when I was 14. I can't arch my back at all because of those stupid bone spurs.
I'm glad your pain is subsiding Celia.
He has it for sure but I don't know how long he will last. By most standards he shouldn't be alive today. I say he could make it a long time if he doesn't let the cancer defeat him. And his wife really is a sweetie. I feel so bad for both of them for having to deal with this but in the end it could make them both stronger.
My mom works with a guy who has cancer. The cancer is in most of his body and wrapped around most organs. 2 almost 3 yrs ago his doctors told him that he wouldn't make it 6 months. He is still alive today. He don't look good and the cancer is all over but he's still fighting it. He wanted to make it 2 Christmases because he has a young son and he didn't want to die without his son getting to know him. He comes in to work whenever he can just because it keeps him going. He can't do much but he don't let him stop him.
Ouch! Bone spurs hurt!!
Oh! Too much pain talk! LOL
On a better note...it's snowing again. Very pretty. It's covering up the old, dirty snow with a fresh coat.
Pretty! I love snow, ice is pretty too, but I don't like being out in it!
