Those are so cute i have one.

My daughter age 5 was visiting my sister and they were being all girlie. They had been doing their hair and getting ready for dinner. When it came time to get dressed my sister removed her robe. My daughter gasped "What happened did you crack" She was refering to a large surgery scar on my sisters tummy.

OH, lol kids say the cutest things sometimes. I remember my cousin telling me about her little girl spotted a bird nest. I think they were at Rite Aid, they were walking into the store when Carly says "Look mommy there's a birdnest in the A hole,"

The SI 2009 swap, is closed to new people we are already mailing out our gifts. But like I said there are tons more.

Oh and Heather, Pictures are a MUST. We post pix of everything we make. And you can bet at least one of us will ask how to make it, lol. We also like to see pix of your home and kids, grandkids, critters you name it...........

Yea some of the ladies do that. I don't have that and don't know how to do it, lol.

I don't know where everybody else is, usually they are all here before me as they are 2 to 3 hours ahead of my time.

Morning everyone. Phyllis, thanks for the coffee and rolls! I have been up, but been on the phone ordering last minute gifts for hubby. I tried to do it online, but this new computer kept telling me that the site was not safe, and did not have a proper certificate. What ever that all meant?

Heather welcome to the world of our sistah hood. We are all sistah's here, except for the younger ones we call niece's. 6 kids huh? Wow, I had 2 boys, and thought that was tough! Hope your all settled into your new place. I know moving sucks. My ex was in the Air Force, and we moved so many times. What does your hubby do? What kind of sewing to you do? clothes, crafts, quilting?

OK, I will quit asking so many questions.

Thank You, she wanted pictures of herself and each family member for her collage board, to go in her bedroom.

They will be here this year for Christmas so I'm going to get another one with my grandson in it this time.

Last mintue shopping huh. I have to go out and do that today, yuk and it's raining and the wind is blowing.

We have Rachel 16, Rebekah 15 Hannah 13 [will be 14 in Jan] Jacob 12, Thomas 11 and Emma-Kate [aka The Dutchess] 8.

Mike [my DH] started a District for the Appalachian Region for an Oil and Gas Company and Morgantown is the very center of that region for him anyway.

Not sure we will ever be 'settled' we are past just the functioning mode and into the 'prettifing stage'.

I sew heirloom childrens clothes, have made a few quilts [well the tops anyway], purses...currently making drapes for the new house [well I have the stuff and it is cut out but havent finished yet].

Do you have pix? There are some really good quilters here, Marion, Jaye, Linda Kay, whoi else?

I am going to rant for a few so just go to another room for a few...LOL No spell check on hubby's puter either so sorry ..... Ok #2 Son David calls lastnight to ask me again what I want for xmas... I told him and he gets poed at me as like I am going to give you dirt for xmas and how would I wrap that... I said well you asked and I told you what I wanted... He said you always have to know what you get... I said no I don't you all get me everything I don't want and I just say thank you.... Why ask me if you don't want to get me what I wanted.... He said you wanted the new rotertiller then you said forget that... I said yes because I more then likely won't be able to use it when I need it as my body would kill me for it... So no I don't want it... he said DIRT... I said I love to plant my plants so just forget it... I said lastyear I wanted a hoodie that had a zipper ... I kept saying the zipper and what did you get me one that is pull over and YOUR wife has it now at your house... So why do I even tell you... So now he tells me he is off to the store to get me dirt am I happy... I said no you always have to tell me what I am getting.. HAH So I told him for 25 years he has always been surprised for xmas and always got things he wanted so for once it would be nice of him to do the same.... It is not about money or me being pickey just don't ask me what I want if you don't want to listen...
Ok that is over sorry but I had to get it off my chest.... No it is flat...LOLOL

Hello everyone

Just popping in for a quick minute before I head out to do our Shopping .. HUGGGSSS

Woke up with a bad back ache and havent been moving very fast today. So Im going to head out here in a few minutes to get some running done and look for a few items that the kids have been asking for at ... GULP... .. The mall.. YUCK Did I actually just say that.. I havent been to the mall in 3 years but I cant find the bedspread Tony wants anywhere so Im gonna go check there.. Figure better early in the day as the mall really scares me as it isnt the safest place to go in my area.. Spent the night printing coupons and searching online ads finding the best deals..

Welcome Heather to the thread... As you already see thes ladies are a wonderful bunch and you ill be catching up quickly with alittle time......

Well Im off to et my jeans out of the dryer and head out..

Welcome to the Sistah Hood Heather. Where in Florida did you live? I am just barely over the Georgia line north of Tallahassee --loving it!!! Of course I grew up in south Florida what is now called Port Charlotte area! We are so happy you are no longer lurking but have decided to join us. Some here, I won't mention any names, can be extremely enabling to you. Then when you get to know BJ, Jaye, Debra, Deborah, Trisha, Phyllis, Tinky you will love them like we do. Oops--said I wasn't going to mention any names. LOL

Susan, vent all you want to!!! I asked for new lights under my carport and nothing, I repeat NOTHING, that requires being hung ie: planters etc as I still have some from 4 years ago that came with a promise note to hang. Son means well just doesn't follow through on that type project.

Donna be careful going to the mall please. We need your bear hugs right back here.

Linda Kay, I am tapping my fingers waiting on all my deliveries. I just refused to fight the crowds (unless it was the fabric store or quilt store) to do my shopping. Thank goodness for the internet!! Anything new at your house?

Tink!!! Do not attempt to drive if you are under an emergency warning. They do issue those for a reason you know. Children, they can be so difficult!! We need you right here safe and sound with us. Listen to your Auntie M for a change.

Here's one for a good laugh.......

An elderly gent was invited to an old friends' home for dinner one evening. He was impressed by the way his buddy preceded every request to his wife with endearing terms such as: Honey, My Love, Darling, Sweetheart, Pumpkin, etc. The couple had been married almost 70 years and, clearly, they were still very much in love.
While the wife was in the kitchen, the man leaned over and said to his host, 'I think it's wonderful that, after all these years, you still call your wife those loving pet names.'

The old man hung his head. 'I have to tell you the truth,' he said, 'Her name slipped my mind about 10 years ago and I'm scared to death to ask her what it is!'

Oh I am just teasing about my shell... I have been in very good spirts except for those few days.... We have a little tiller like the mantis but his was a bigger one and I have Fibro and if I do allot of bouncing watch out the next week... Have to go get shot as my body will go into a flair... So I wanted a 4 cubic bag of dirt... how hard is that.?? Men and boys grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...LOL I bought my husband a golf cart cover and a heater for this xmas so when he plays in the cold he can keep warm... Well long story short I was on cloud nine thinking I got the best present for him... Was a very nasty day here about a week or so ago and his only day off... So I took him into the bedroom and said since we are going golfing I am giving you your present... Well dang he opened it said looked me in the eye and said I don't want this??????? I said what three times he repeated it... I wanted to kick his butt... But son and I used it and by the end of the game he was freezing and we were toasty warm He now says he is sorry and it is a wonderful gift... I said forget it you already messed that one up..... So now I have a golf cart cover and heater for ME and I LOVE IT... He did say only wussus use them.... Well he is the wuss also as he used it the other day...LOLOLOL Little did he know I got another one and heater for another cart as normally 4 of us go golfing at a time... he can walk in the cold..ME? I am staying nice an warm in my cart...LOL

As far as deliveries go, they might all be late. I mailed out several packages on Monday, priority with delivery confirmation. Only one has arrived, and others I was just told by the post office, is... "it's the holiday season, and we can't guarantee even priority packages". I told them Then I want my money back, and he told me so sorry, not with it being the holiday season! Well, one of these packages is medications for my Dad. And he needs them in few days. Now what am I supposed to do? The pharmacy will not re-issue them to me, and even if they did, he will be with out med's for a week or so! Sitting her pulling on hair, and getting mad at the post office!

OK, I am done with my RANTING!!!

My priority's have been taking more like 3 - 4 days lately. Yeap, it is the season.
