Sorry BJ I didn't know you where down and out about the holidays.For the last three Christmas i was like that,because when me exhusband is home he has my son.My son lives with me,but when my ex is home it always landed on the holidays.See when my ex is home and its a holiday we have to share.I have him half a day and he has him half a day,and it hurts me that i can't enjoy the whole holiday with him.This year i was bless i had him for Thanksgiving and Christmas and that is why i'm happy and he is just 3 years old.So BJ please cheer up i feel your pain.

Trishia and Kim, your snow is so pretty. I'll let you keep it. Not interested in having to shovel several times a day like Kim is doing. Our ice is melting today and it's not supposed to get below freezing tonight. Low 40's only. The birds have been consuming huge quantities of birdfood since the ice. We get a kick out of watching them.

Brenda, that's great news about your sister. My high school boyfriend's sister's name was Dixie. You're a good sister to bake for her! Have you shared your fudge recipe?

Judy, I'm not 'into' fairies but really like the seedtossing fairy. Where did you find the fairies that are garden related? I like their butterfly wings, too.

Taking a break to get a bite of lunch and say hello. HELLO! lol! Back to the project for a little while then need to wrap gifts, get dressed, and go to my aunt's for dinner. Very glad we won't be driving back on ice. DH will meet me there in seperate cars as her house is 1/2 way between home and his office. That's one of the negatives of living out here - often have to meet him in town and drive back in seperate vehicles. Drives him nuts because I'm usually yapping on the cell phone to him all the way home since he's not there with me in person. lol!

Yes Kim he made it home safe,but he has to go back tomorrow until Tuesday.I call to talk and check on him when he has him.He is 3 years old.

The Snow is coming down thick and fast.....Bill brought home paperwork and will work from home the rest of the day....that is a relief! Got all the supplies we need so we are settled in until they decide to clear the roads.....we already have more than they were predicting so there is no telling what we will end up with! For right now it Chicken soup, Grilled Cheese and Hot Cocoa!!

Ok, ladies... here's what I've been working on.
I've put the garden stake critters aside, because they've been frustrating me that I can't seem to polish them up very well. So, I went back to an idea I had a while back. I thought I could re purpose some beer bottles and single serving wine bottles into something useful, and maybe sell them. Well, I was successful in the process of sanding, polishing to a high shine... and here's the first two prototypes using some scrap clay. I'm very happy with how these turned out.

These can be used as soap dispensers by the bathroom or kitchen sink, or oil dispensers by the stove.

I just figured out the spots of color.....it is the tree lights reflecting in the window!!

Nah... Kim... just throw them out... it would cost more to mail them than it would cost me to buy them here if I need to make another dispenser. But, thanks anyway... you're sweet to save them for so long for me.
