I slept in, stayed up late watching movies. Been watching the weather report to see how much snow is going to be at my mom's. Just hope she will be able to make it home. She could stay another night , but she has a bowling league Tuesday morning and Tuesday night.

Morning everyone!
I am temporarily fixed and back online. Max worked 68 hours last week so fixing the pc wasnt in his time frame. So here I am again and trying to catch up again.. May be out a day or so once he drops the pc to re-format but for now its back online at least..
Have been busy weeding flower beds and working on a few crafts. We were invited to a special Christmas party on Saturday by the Kawians Club and the kids each got two presents from Santa (for under the tree) as well as a pic with him.. Im still not sure how they got our names but am very greatful. There were only 5 families invited and it truly was wanderful. The kids made Christmas cookies, played musical chairs and of course visited with Santa claus... When we were gathering to leave teh club came out to the vehicles and told us they had a few small food boxes to distbute to us and as hard as I tried I couldnt help but to cry when the gentleman that had bought for Tony & Tristen opened his trunk and started filling the truck with food. I couldnt contain myself he sent home 1 huge box f boxed foods, 2 boxes of canned veggies and soup, 1 box of snacks and cereal and then a ham and a turkey... I had to rearrange my cubboards to make room for it all and am so very thankful.. Working now on trying to get the genlemans and club's address so I can send a few thank you cards out to them..

I have been looking into a company here who will pull all of your teeth and do dentured the same day.. Waiting to find out how much the insurance would cover so when we are able I can take care of my issues.. I have 4 that are brken off at the gum line right now.. OOO Pictures of the kids making cookies...
OOO Jay I recieved my Santa hat! Thank You so much for the surprise... I will work on it later today!
Tis the season to be Jolly fa la la la la la....Donna how wonderful for you to receive all those gifts of food. This is the season for giving.
Kim, you party animal you! When I was single I did a lot of partying too. I think that is why I waited until I was 35 to get married, lol (then after I married him, I said I should have waited another 35, lol). My second marriage was much better.
Coffee please cold or not--I just need coffee. Been up for a while getting somethings finished. Tinky please take care of yourself and let us know what the doctor says. Remember: Stress issue!!!
Phyllis no wonder the air smelled so good yesterday. I can just imagine all those wonderful cookies. I, too, would love to see a picture of the quilt when you finished. I love it when you posted earlier.
Linda Kay, hope your cramp has passed and you are feeling better. They can be rough!!!
Flamingo Kim, I would say you have party hardy for the last few days. Oh well, young and single so enjoy it all.
Susan, we are here!! No need to get down when all you need to do is drop in here and I am sure someone can make you laugh. I think we all suffer from depression this time of year to some degree. I also lost a parent this time of year and it does get easier--not better but easier.
Oh Donna, what a wonderful surprise for you and your family. I am so thrilled for you all. I can see the huge smiles from here.
Tina from MB how is the tooth today? Check in when you can.
Morning Jaye, That would be so nice of you to bake the cookies for Kel after the shopping spree you went on this past weekend.
Well back to my list of things to do before Kim comes home. Later
Well Stacey, you did not mention the breakfast was ready, but thanks anyways. Sometimes we just can't get up that early! I took a flexeril, and went back to sleep fr a little while, but I still have that stupid cramp. It feels more like a pinched nerve in my right hip. That is a new pain, but doesn't surprise me, cause I have been walking off kilter, since I have had my feet operated on, so it is probably because of that.
Sorry you other girls have not been sleeping. I know that is not fun, espcially if you have to get up the next day, and have to be somewhere.
Ladybarber, glad to hear you back online, and I know you will be happy once you get your computer up and running after is is formatted.
BJ, Marion, Kathy, Jaye, Cindy, where are you all at? Sleeping in this morning?
Guess that is a bout it.
Oh yeah, I have a fresh pot of coffee on, so please help yourself.

Stacey, so sorry to hear you have to go to work with all your ailments, and SHE takes another day off!!!
Yep, I can hear you now telling your Dr, all about your emotions, and sickness, and I hope he takes your side. STRESS is the key word here!
LK
Oh I am much better today... No sleep for me lastnight but I am doing good as I type... I just have to vacume the hall way and the kitchen/dinning area then I am running to the store to get keys made for the back door... I have the only key...

Susan
I wish you los of luck on quitting smoking.. I too need toquit and may try here very soon once we get everything sorted out arond here. I quit in 2007 but started back up when Tony got sick in Janurary of this year and havent been able to de stress long enough to try to quit again.. I went cold turkey and was a major bear for about 3 weeks but then I started breathing and feeling better..
Never tried the patches or candy...
My New Years Resolution is to Live, Laugh and Love like there is no tomorrow..
Good morning all! Susan, while I applaud your efforts at quitting smoking, trying to quit during an already stressful time may be too much, and if you aren't successful, then you'll probably get down on yourself, which leads to more stress... maybe when things are a little quieter after the beginning of the new year? Good luck though, whatever you decide. Just take good care of yourself!
Debra, your tree is gorgeous! Sorry about your hubby falling, hope he's okay. The dogs pulled Tony over yesterday when they went out... slipped on the ice with a little help from "the mushing team"! He's okay, though!
Cookies all turned out great (hooray), Jaye... maybe some snickerdoodles, or maybe something else my swap buddy might like... she'll just have to wait and see!
Have a great day, everyone!
Brenda
Lady,
I quit for 17 years and then all hell broke loose and I picked one up but they have to go but I really have decided this is not the right time to stop... At least I am getting the feeling like this sucks and It is going bye-bye.... I quit cold turkey last time but I am older now so it may be harder not sure... I will keep you all posted...
Hey Did Tony like is gift?
Hugs,
Susan
Brenda,
Yup you are right and I am going outside to have one now...LOLOL I love you all so very much and I feel bad when I am down and I post here as I don't ever want to bring anyone down with me.... I am a normally a happy person give the shirt off your back type... I am not always this crazy... Now mind you I am crazy just not like this...>LOLOL
Hugs,
susan
O Tony loved his gift.. He went and got a few hotwheels tracks to play with all his cars.. I'm thinking I too will quit soon as I can..

We can do it... All of us can.... Ok going to vacume this time for real after my smoke...

Smoking is very hard to do. I have not had a cigarette for about 10 years, then when I went home for my Mothers funeral, I picked them up again, that was more than 2 years ago, and I have not had one now, since my Dad went to stay with my sister about 3 months ago. And I feel really good. Last one I had was at Bj's for the Texas round up.
Just go one day at a time, and tell yourself, no more cigarettes. But the best thing to do is not buy anymore. Find something else to do, like crafting, or sewing, and I would say baking, but I know just quitting smoking can make one gain weight. Chew some gum. But I know when you are ready, you CAN put them down for good.
LK
I think Im gonna head outside and do some weeding in the beds out front.. Will check in later this afternoon...
What a beautiful bird!!!
Morning all....I can use the coffee, either pot.... The shop Christmas Dinner was fantastic...Great food...good wine and a lot of friendly people.....and I am definitely tired this morning.
The sun is out....it is COLD and the wind is blowing.....supposed to be like this all week, more snow possible on Wednesday.
Good luck on quitting smoking....I did the patches about 12 years ago.....best thing I ever did. Laura and Sean are going to try and quit again after the Holidays....I agree, this is not a good time.....just start the New Year out right.
Get better Stacey, let us know what the Doc says/
Susan, what kind of bird is Peaches? He is so cute.
LK
Good day!
Thanks Stacey, I'll just 'nuke' the coffee. No need to make a fresh pot just for me! Your boss must have a miserable husband. She must not like herself too to be treating people so shabbily. Is it only you that she picks on?
Huggs for my niece!
Welcome back Donna! The good deserves better and Lord knows you and your family certainly needs all the help. Somebody for sure has plead your case strongly to the Kiwanis. I bet you and Max held back some tears. So, it turns out to be a great Christmas for Tony and Tristen this year, after all.
Here's Kitty Huggs for ya!
So sorry LK about you hurting that bad. When I had to walk 'semi-balance', that affected the hip that bears all the weight. Had to take strong muscle relaxers. Hope you sleep better tonight and try to stay off your feet today.
Here's Huggs for ya!
Susan, you know all the hurdles when you try to quit smoking. I agree with Brenda though, don't do it when it's too stressful for you, and smoking is your only known relief.. unless you get Johnny Depp to come over your house and be your mentor :D
Here's more Huggs for ya!
(((Phyllis))), I got the candied fruits, real butter and more nuts.. can't chop up Kel! My turn to have my house smelling like a patisserie!!
Trisha, please call Laura up and let her know Kel loves it!!!
Sistahs and niece, Laura had custom made a leather billfold with a lizard tooled on it. It is absolutely beautiful. She dyed and painted it, and the texture is amazing. The lizard's scales are raised, and the eyes, a gorgeous copper color!! When closed, the billfold fits perfectly in his grasp. She took her time perfecting it.. dmailed back and forth.. all the while, causing Kel to pace the floor asking "Is it ready yet?". He has been wanting one so bad, now he got the only Laura Original and he says the 'bestest' Christmas gift he had ever had.
I'll let Laura to post the pictures, as Kel just walked out with the billfold! :D
Thank you so much Laura!!

Jaye they are sooo good warm out of the oven...mmmmmm...yummy
Laura will be so relieved...she has been so worried about this project.....it is the first major project she has done all by herself!
Phyllis, I have to bake that on a day that I know Kel will be gone all day!!
He's a cookie freak!
Trisha, Kel says we're eating out tonight, so he could 'flash' his billfold :D
Hello Ladies,
It is so cool that we have so many Sistahs that are talented in so many different departments, that we are able to swap things. Leather, candles, quilts, critters, stained glass, advice, etc. The list is too long to go on and on, but I'm sure you all get the drift, right?
Yep, and do include hugs and laughter and caring thoughts and especially prayers Cindy.
Tina from MB, can you please post your address in the address exchange, so we can have it for mailing out things to you please?
Thanks
LK
OH yes, can not forget those. XOXOXOXOXO
Well, my mom left to go home, said it is 32 but no snow. I worry about her driving from my house home, because the highway is a bad one so many people have gotten hurt or killed on this highway and she is 81 and getting deaf.
Also need the address for Sheila, knslwilliams Please
LK
Also need the address for BSavage addedto the exchange.
Thanks
LK
I'll dmail you their addresses, LK.
