Good morning friends!

LOL Betty, No i was not having one, honest...Although maybe if I did, wouldn't have gotten so anxious.
I actually think it was the braid...You ever get frantic at your crafts, mine have been put on hold for a while. So now i think i am just over axious on getting some completed so you know, things go wrong. That one Santa, has been the dickens to work with from the start!!
LOL..so I guess why not to the finish eh, will be glad to finish him up, and off he will get shipped...I know why too, The friend i am making him for is an incredible crafter, so I am trying to have him be perfect!

Well, now that Julia's day is done, today I will concentrate on a little bit of decorating...Betty, Big Santa is getting"booted" out to the entance today...It suppose to be warmer 40's this weekend end so perfect to get the Christmas Decorations out.

I have been doing lots of cleaning and that is just about finished, so Decorating the sunroom for company tonight.

Yep, Bev...I didn't comment on your Bead work..It is wonderful!! The little Crosses are so pretty.

Ruby thank you for the compliments...I sure am happy and quite content at the moment. i think since I have been off, I have gotten alot acomplished around the house, soon it will back in shape. LOL, Betty you'll have to come for another visit! So you can see my house all nice and uncluttered!!

Steve will be off soon too...And we will attack his work area too. Then...it will be my sons room, i'll be bringing in the dumpster for that lolol
he is quite the packrat, geesh wonder where he gets that from.

ok off to bring up some boxes...Bringing some cheer to the room.

After a 2 hr. sleep, warm blankie on, was so cold and it did give me a fright, all from being funny it was frightening..now what if I wouldn't have been able to get out..

Rita and Jerry dropped in, when he entered he said that my home reminded him of a very old seniors home, antiques, cozy and for the amount of coziness there is in my home at Christmas I shouldn't be here, should be long gone...he's so funny..told him my story, as he's a Ontario Provincial Police officer he said they'd find me in the morning where I was, looking as pretty as ever...what a con artist..lol

Jeff just called, should be here within the hour..Greg and Mel will be dropping the boys off at any time..told them if they weren't later than 1am..to come in, we'd wake the kids and do my grandmothers old fashion Christmas...opening gift just after midnight on Christmas morning..it is after all my christmas...lol

Finished another arrangement for basement, must get a move on so I can clean..Jeff said don't bother but it's a must..

While I'm working away (or playing) Riley and Missy are enjoying a day of leisure....

And I thought I was the only lazy bones this afternoon...

LOL-I don't think I have ever seen my cat sleep like that!!LOL

Betty it is all sooooo beautiful!

My cat sometimes will sleep like that, with her eyes half open......it is very strange!

Morning, cold but clear right now, are calling for freezing rain most of the day, warnings in the area so doubt my family will travel..luckily Jeff and the boys arrived last night...oh what fun to have 4 boys adrenaline going full speed asking what is under the tree lol..while Jeff and I enjoyed a quiet evening...

While all are sleeping I'm cleaning the craft room, tried to do it all day yesterday but things kept popping up..as I'm an early riser knew it could wait till this morning...

Although not Christmas day we'll have a traditional Christmas, early breakfast and all sit and open gifts..I'm excited..Jeff said the boys picked out something especially for me and are excited to give it to me..he wassmilling so I might be in for a treat..it will be a 'treasure' I'm sure...

Mom called and will NOT be going to Florida so now I must decided if I want to go on my own or spend time just relaxing...another week to decide at I'm off on the 19th...

Best get back to my cleaning...

By the way, the de-boned turkey is cooked and looks wonderful...didn't even burnt it..that's a plus right there..lol

Tsk, tsk, tsk.....Betty, Betty, Betty.....what are we going to do with you? Getting stuck in that snow!!!! I would still be in shock over the incident. How scary to have that happen. Thank goodness that we don't have the amounts of snow that you all do. I couldn't cope.

Well, with the lack of postings on here, I suppose that it means that everyone is busy, busy, busy. I lounged most of yesterday and didn't do any of the million things that I need to do. Oh well, there is always another day. Maybe today I will be able to do some holiday things. I have a friend coming to help me wrap gifts tomorrow, so won't need to stress over that. Gosh, it will be good to get some of the items off to other places. There is only a path in spare bedroom now because of everything that is sitting in the floor. Thank goodness that Christmas only comes once a year. ha-ha

I am surprised that Tucker didn't ask for one or buy one for himself yet. Yeah, will be interesting to see what your grandboys got for you.

Morning..I'm up..just having my first coffee.
yesterday morning I made a nice post...even put a picture..and hit send..it stalled..and then went poof into the air..
I know it happens to some of you..and it is frustrating..as I am not a fast typist.

Betty..love the greenery and flower basket with the little family..very unique idea..so glad your Jeff got there last night so there will be no worries about travelling.

I tried my new camera yesterday for the first time..I like it. A Canon A590 this time..not expensive..on sale for $129.99. Since digital cameras came out..this is my fourth one. My Christmas gift to me. My Sony broke down.
My first one was very expensive..and only 1MP..this one is 8MP.

I went to visit my DIL and son yesterday. It was her birthday on Friday and I had a little gift for her. We had cake and coffee.

Just like Ruby I will check in and see how the big Christmas day is going..this is like watching our own reality show.

Betty..could you please take a photo of your deboned turkey..I am quite amazed that the butcher would do that "no charge.",,and if there are no bones..is the suffing just put underneath the meat..and tied up?
I think I will Google it..

I have my turkey in the freezer..a prestuffed Butterball...
I have had this kind before and it is quite good..you cook it from the frozen state.

Seems I' not the only one up early...

Nothing like having the family under your roof all cozy in bed, dreaming of what's to come..for me I'm all but done for the day, tables can be finished later, vacuming has to wait till everyone gets up..omg I've glitter from one end of the house..love my new steamermop so will give the upstairs a quick mop..the grandchildren prior to opening gifts can get all the debris from greenery and wood to the fire pit if they can make it that far in the deep snow, start a fire and that alone will clear most of the junk..then after gifts, the rest can be burnt...

Jeff walks around the house looking at it, shaking his head, says I go a little beyond...and I do..but it's my thing...

This morning while in the washroom I looked at the ceiling in the tub enclosure and thought it must be tiled..then was looking at the dining room window that must be replaced (replacing windows one at a time-did the entire house..roof..siding..decks..all that remain is the windows) so guess I've pretty well made up my mind that if I were NOT to go to Florida on my own these 2 things could be accomplished..what to do/what to do?

Carol, isn't it amazing what these camera's cost back a few years ago, now they are within the budget and when broken, into garbage they go..and, I could see the birds..as with Judy it's nice now when I look at photo's you are sharing I can virtually imagine where you are taken the photo from and where the subject of the photo is...love the photo of you and DIL..two very attractive women for sure..you are photogenic, I NOT..inface I'm not fond of getting photo taken...

I often cook the prestuffed turkeys and they are delicious..I'm trying this way only because the boys aren't fond of carving and if it makes it one step less work when everyone is enjoying then that's for me...

Ruby yes can't wait for the Wii, am sure once they open the gifts one will be set up upstairs and one downstairs and I'll be listening to the kids say 'daddy, please can WE play with our toy' am sure it was the same in your house, dad's bought things they'd most enjoy and kids on Christmas day rarely got to play as dad had to check things out...lol..

Oh please may I share my day with you..lol..reality show ..yes I'd enjoy sharing my day and my family with you .. .

Carol, turkey cooked and ready for reheat and slicing...it is a 22-23 lb. turkey..and the dressing is inside and tied within...almost like a tied roast..even the boys are impressed that they can have the turkey and trimmings and no carving..if it works, that's how I'll do it from now on, even if I had to pay to have it done...which I didn't this time but would imagine if I keep getting it done time after time he might....new manager in that store as well so maybe they are encouraging business...which reminds me, there was a special as well, you got a large uncooked apple pie if you bought at least a $25.00 turkey..must go cook it..burn the box and the boys will think up early and baking..what a grandma! you got to do what you got to do right...

Ruby it's nice that a friend will visit and help you with the wrapping....once they are wrapped and under the tree is seems far more organized than just sitting in a spare room...love to see presents under a tree...and yes, believe it or not I did start to panic...not a good thing, infact that's how stupid deadly accidents happen..just not thinking..won't be doing that again, well at least this year..if I mention greenery next year please/please stear me toward a greenery store...wow...frightened me half to death that I even had an afternoon nap..zapped my energy...

morning Liz, cross posted..my goodness when I say I'm up early you are up in the middle of the night...can't sleep? feeling ok I hope...you also are busy/busy..isn't Sunday the day to visit in-laws? perhaps that's why you are up and at it....

So quiet here, I so want to vacuum but want to let everyone sleep so must just sit quietly and that's a chore for me...

Room is a cyclone, orginally the 4 boys were here having a pillow fight, Jeff divided them...so resting, foot taking a breather is Noah and Braedon....

Kyle and Caleb...

Now Kyle was excited, he received a silver chain necklace from mom and dad last night as it's his 13th birthday today..big event in a young man's life...Greg and Mel will join us early this morning..that is if Melanie doesn't have a hang-over from the Christmas party..Greg had never drank so I'm sure he'll be levelled headed and get here here...

So both these lads are sleeping..

I told Kyle and Braedon I had their birthday gifts under the tree, both asked if they could have them and Braedon couldn't quite understand if his birthday had passed why couldn't he open that one gift...Jeff had to explain that possibly it had something to do with his main gift..lol..so patient they are...

Well I've got one more table to set-up..see that Jeff has bag underneath that need wrapping so will not disturb that table until he's wrapped them...one thing about the craft room, gives us mega room for eating and setting up buffet...

Far cry from clean but a start...


Best be off and see what I can clean without waking everyone...

Carol, hope you don't get the freezing rain..just started here..boys were stirring asked when they could open gifts....said once the garbage has been taken out/burnt in the pit, call you mom/dad and we can open them..didn't take long to get it done..

Loving the show here....I can feel the excitement....
I see the boys are up early and anixous....and so nice to have them give you a hand..now it may be alittel harder to get their Mum and Dad going after a late night party.

no had to work yesterday,dh went to inlaws yesterday he is working this morning so will see how much trouble i can get into...

I just got a call ..Santa Claus at the Holiday Inn kids Christmas party is ill..so my friend who was to be Mrs. Santa..is taking over..as Mr..SC and wants me to be Mrs. Santa..

My crew waiting for Santa

All loved the Paramount Canada's Wonderland season passes...gave the boys their but didn't give the grown up theirs UNTIL the very end...of course gave them the boxes and said they'd have to open them up at same time..they know mom, one opens and the others know they get same..lol

Everyone walking around saying what a Christmas..the kids are so enjoying their Wii..2 upstairs and 2 downstairs..lots of shouting and hoooraaahhh's...

I'm impressed the big boys aren't trying to steal the Wii..lol
Caleb said they walked around the mall and found a frame about grandma's and their garden and a large gnome and knew it had to come home to me...

This is my friend and I..both of us are retired from there..me 35 years..she 36 years..it was fun to be bakc htere and see many of our friends with their children and grandchildren.

It is Beautiful Crissy....I may try that with my next one......I have more hair on order so we will see what I can do.

I think I have a talent I didn't know I had LOL! That's the hood laying on top of the printer behind him. I'll do that this next week and put on all of his decorations and I'll be done! Yay!

He doesn't have a full head of hair LOL He's bald in the back. I have another whole long piece so I'm thinking about giving him a full head of hair but I don't know. That's probably what you meant huh.

Sure looked like a full head of hair!!! My mum has one my son gave her when he was a kid....it has full hair, no hood or hat....I have been playing with the idea, just haven't gotten up the nerve yet.

My Christmas is now over..having 18 + 5 dogs/2 cats has done my over..Greg/Melanie and the boys just left..boy am I tired...been a beautiful day though!
