Judy. I have two shelf units inside my closet in tv room so all I have to look at are the piled up table and floor LOL. When I get overwhelmed I can close the doors. BEV

This is Emma. She was the superviser of this group.
They always included me in there festivities.

I had had her and she wanted an apron which ytou know i made two.
She was estatic that I made them and they fit....Custom made for her tiny self.

Five more minutes girls...car is filled with flowers..anxious to get at it now..the rose greenhouse were just stemming roses so I bought 7 doz. then off to the flower distributor and bought 4 doz. beautiful ruffled white carnations, then 2 doz red carnatios..few other flowers and specialty greenery etc. etc. etc.

When I get to Suzanne's she'll follow me home in her car and unload as to to put them in and out of the cold, snowing like crazy here..then she will spend 3 hrs. and finish the last of her 7 santa's while I finish 3..then tidy up all the sparkles....once she leaves I'll get to the floral arrangements..probably about 2 hrs. left on her Mrs. Claus but will wait till early morning to do that and that will put an end to this day ....

Somehow between this I must have my stuffing (dressing) done for 8:30 in the morning..butcher needs it to stuff ...

Judy, tell Julia happy birthday as well..omg 19 yrs. old..soon you'll have no young ones...you can see by photo your girlfriend just loves the apron ...

Girls want to gab more but Suzanne says 'Let's go!!!'

Ruby, received your box as well, was jumping up and down at the post office, everyone was posting and I was receiving..got home and sat on the floor opening the gift saying this is for you Sailor from Aunty Ruby...can't wait to give her the next pill..will ask my vet if they can order them in..Suzanne said she's never seen them...I'm just beaming..


Suzanne had arrived at my house as I stopped in to the grocery store first..met a few girls I knew, gab/gab/gab..couldn't believe, butcher didn't charge me to debone the 24 lb turkey nor is he charging extra for stuffing it..

So it's 5:30 here...brought my greenery in..

Suzanne just left..all 14 have now been decorated and she can start giving them out..thank goodness...I did 3, then both she and I decided that we'd give LeeAnn and Cindy one from both of us so 2 more to do but it can wait till next week..am sure I want to make another mess...

Waiting until my mess is cleaned so I take take a pretty photo of my gifts...

Bought 10 oasis but don't have enough, Suzanne will bring me more wire for bows..and more oasis if she can find it while shopping tonight, if not, a pick up for tomorrow...

Oh Trisha, knew it was your birthday and forgot to say it...my sincere apologies..no excuse..I feel terrible...we spoke a few days before and you mentioned it then with not feeling the best I didn't go to home page...there I go again making more excuses...I'm singing Happy Birthday..can you hear it - off key..ok I'll stop..

With being up just after 3am and on the go I'm rather tired..will put flowers in water and besides I've run out of greenery, guess what I'll be doing tomorrow morning...

Suzanne dropped in to bring me some containers and took one for her mom..she'll drop it off in the morning..seems strange, since Roger's death and all the todo with it, it takes all her time to talk to me but I still send gifts...lol

OH, here is some really cool news! Julia finished her course in English....Woohoo, she was the highest grade in the class!!
A 4.0 which I hear is like an A!! She will now skip a level and continue with another advanced Course...

It has been a long day today so I think I will turn in early.

Once again I am amazed by not only Betty's wonderful artistic talents, but everyone elses too. I love your bead work Bev. Very nice work. Judy and the apron, your friend obviously loved it. You did some great work.

Carol and Betty, interesting addition to the Applesauce Cake with the cranberries. Carol, never heard that flax seed can be substituted for egg. Very interesting. Carol, you mentioned that Scrabble was making a comeback. I ordered a game for us a few weeks ago and will wrap it for under the tree. I used to love playing the game. I also purchased a Scrabble Dictionary this time too.

Judy, the picture from the John Hancock building is amazing. Beautiful for sure. The picture of you and the group in front of the Christmas is great. I can see why everyone is commenting on how well you look. You look gorgeous with that sparkling smile. You look very, very happy.

Gosh Betty, I am surprised that your package got there as quickly as it did. Sailor will love the pill pockets if she is anything like my dogs. They gobble them up. I ordered them online from a website called Doctors Foster and Smith which is a Veterinarian site.

I was blown away by your talent for arranging flowers. What lovely table arrangements that you made for your dinner. You certainly are putting on a feast for your loved ones. Can't wait for pictures.

At work this am-about to pass out on this keyboard-I am just exhausted-I am getting an ear infection, I can tell, so with my equilibrium being off, I kept stopping under red lights today, not in front of them and was doing a little serving on the freeway-thank goodness I didn't get pulled over for drunk driving!!LOL

Early morning and a very light misted snow BUT -14, it's cold..even colder when you turn down the furnace so your flowers don't wilt..lol

Not even panicking with all that must be done today..it will get done, no fear of that... so one step at a time as they say..

Thank you for the kind words about my flowers..yep, house will look so pretty and by the time I'm done maybe I'll manage if I get greenery to do about 8 more for family/friends...

Trisha, glad I'm forgiven for missing the birthday AND for singing off key..


For my elder aunts an arrangement is always better because it's disposable...must think of that when giving gifts..

Stacey, I can sympathize with you re earache...throws you off, makes you nauseated and hurts like the dickens (almost said hell)..best not drive if you are feeling so poorly..dangerous..hope you've had a good sleep and that today you'll be on the mend...

Judy how proud you must be of Julia..you weren't having one when doing the beard were you to be having difficulties..lol...no fibbing now..lol...he'll be jolly that's all..

Ruby, my favorite game is scrabble..dictionary does come in handy..I also have a very good cd for scrabble, game table 3-d, with sounds and Mavis, let's not forget Mavis..she challenges you and even if your words are correct you miss out..you look in the dictionary for scrabble for her words, not there and the worse is you cannot challenge her...good way to entertain yourself when no one is arround...

All others, please know you are in my thoughts, miss you all, hope that you and your families are well, hoping you'll visit soon....

I do miss scrabble-DH has dislexia and HATES that game and REFUSES to play it...oh well, maybe when mom moves closer we can get a secret scrabble game to keep at her house for just the 2 of us!!LOL

Betty-I plan to drive to Walmart on my break to get dog food and cat litter, then the only other place I am driving is home at 2pm today....

Is your dinner today or tomorrow Betty? It is going to be wonderful, I am sure of that. Gosh lady, I would hate to think that I had to do what you are doing with all of the preparations. But.....you can and will do it.

I am thinking of maybe going back to lay down. Starting to fee a bit sick on tummy.

Both of you take care..something always seems to be going round at this time of year...

Imagine, so much to do and me sitting and playing here..

Not a lot I can do because I've a 'to do' list and it starts at 8:30 when the grocery store opens for me to give him my dressing..out of greenery so can't make more arrangements until I come home from town and do back concessions with my clippers, then I can finish up down here and start clean up..

Ruby my family is getting together tomorrow, but I will have Greg's boys, Noah and Kyle tonight as they have a Christmas party (that's why it must be Sunday)..Jeff wasn't sure of his plans, thought he might come up late tonight or early in the a.m. with the boys..he's doing the xmas shopping so leaves it to last minute..lol

Mom and Jim will come tomorrow around 11:00 (another company called to say NO insurance for Florida...) she's not happy...brother Bernie and SIL Charlene can't come until 3:30 or so...Sharon can't take the drive..Mike and Kim will drop in but not for long as he is asmatic and allergic to dogs/cats..so if he wants to stay out of the hospital it's just a drop in...sad, but I can't get rid of my furries for the 5 or 6 visits a year but then who knows if I didn't have furries he might be here more often..Bernie also is allergic but not as bad... Mike and Darlene will also drop in-they weren't sure of how long...so with all of these drop in's I decided to have buffet type style so all can just eat at their leisure..otherwise I'd have to have supper around 4 and that leaves it late for those travelling..we'll see..I'll make calls later today and decide...

Good Morning everyone! Today is dust day Yuk I can't stand dusting. I've got to finish the Santa too, or I won't be able to clean my "office!"

Off to take a shower, I'll catch up with the posts in a bit.

Back from town, no need to travel anywhere..besides my budget left me $15.42 lol..be glad when Christmas is over...

Got the turkey done..I'm impressed...then to town for last few gifts..always do the 2 families an entertainment evening...had everything for their bags except the treats..
Bought when Canadian Tire had their sale a popcorn bowl with 4 small popcorn dishes for each..then got a Christmas movie that came out this week I believe, licorice, popcorn, nibs, chocolate, so everything for a quiet evening at home...

Got smart and went to the grocery store, usually I do up all the platters but not this year, got 6 different platters ...cheese...meat...fruit...veggie...bread/bread dip...sauces...so that will make life easier..

All groceries have to be put away but I'm so cold and don't I know it's my OWN fault...

Had brought my boots with me, gloves and an old coat to go cutting greenery along the concessions...found perfect trees and yes I know that some areas have ditches but this land seemed so flat, took a step, solid enough, another, yet solid and then came the surprise..deep up to my waist..now here I am on a back concession, didn't see any cars the entire time I was cutting along the roadside, so here I am, no gloves, can't get out, thinking 'now that was a stupid thing to do' know what my boys would tell me..lol
struggled and struggled to get out..because I was quite a distance in as I was walking on the crusty surface..and boy is it cold out there...came in changed my outfit..soaking wet..met Bernice and Cliff and they just shake their heads....so now it's put the turkey on, do the turnip (love to precook and do it along with the carrots...then a coffee, lunch and I'm ready to take on the afternoon..won't be long I'll be cleaning down here...

I know my boys will go on and on and on about what's under the tree...each year I do more saying it might be my last year but I'm still here doing it...

Must go warm up with hot chocolate..can hardly feel the end of my fingers...

More greenery on the floor buy heck they'll be beautiful arrangements by tonight..so wish you were closer..know there would be one on your table even if I had to fall into the ditch..would be worth it...

I'm making headway though!

Oh Betty-go warm up B4 you end up w/ frostbite (I was snickering though as that kind of thing has happened to me more than once)
