Yesterday I received a surprise package! I beautiful "Elf" hat!! Thank you so much for the wonderful gift Jaye! I was going to take a picture but my camera has finally completely died on me. GRRR! I have been trying to get all my Christmas decoration out and I have the tree up and most of the decorations on it. Just need a few more blue balls to complete.

Good morning sistahs. No exclamation point today - can't talk above a whisper. My head hurts too bad....... It was after 1:00am when we got home from DH's firm party. It was so much fun. Everyone in the firm from the sr. partners, associate attorneys, secretaries to clerks and runners (including their spouses and dates) really like each other and enjoy being together. This is DH's partner, Phil (Philly) playing a game that had everyone laughing. That's his wife, Becky, next to him and the young next to her is the husband of one of the associates. Wish I had gotten better photos of Becky's house - she owns a gift store and has the cutest Christmas decorations. The house was filled with brightly colored decorations but they don't show up well in the photos.

What time did you get to bed? And you're up already? I would still be in bed, lol.

I'm a morning person. Woke up a little before 7am - which was 'sleeping in' for me. Once awake I can't go back to sleep. There is a nap in future for sure!

DH on the other hand, well ..... let's just say his head probably hurts a lot worse than mine. He joined a couple of the young men late in the evening in an activity that involved tequila, very small glasses, and wedges of lime........ 'nuf said.

EEWWWW!!! I hate hangovers. I don't drink like I used too. Maybe a blood beer once or twice a week. I used to party big time when I was younger (much younger).

It's very rare that he drinks to that extent - but last night was an exception. A big celebration of the re-organizing of the firm this past Sept., a good 2008, and high hopes for a good 2009. They all really like each other and the young ones always like DH - he's the quiet, philosophical one they talk to. He gets VERY philosophical after a few drinks. LOL! The firm provided a limo to take anyone home who wanted a ride and several took advantage of it. I was DH's driver - you should have heard him 'philosophize' on the way home. LOL! Somehow he's able to intertwine poetry, eastern/western influences, and how dogs think into one conversation. LOL!

LOL, Well you had a good time so that is what matters the most, right? I'm hoping to make Christmas day a fun day for my family. This will be my first time having them here at Christmas time. We usually go to my daughters. I need to finish up on some things by next Sunday so I can spend the 22 and 23 baking and cleaning (yuk). I have one of those chocolate fountains that I want to get to working. Can't seem to keep chocolate hot enouhg to keep flowing, then to find some strawberries. Some of the local farmers have them for sale now.

Debra-shame-it sounds like you all shoulda taken the limo too...but glad you had a good time!!

So glad you had a good time Debra, looks like everyone was enjoying themselves. I will type quietly so as not to cause you more head pain. LOL

Went to bed early and slept very well for a change. Tiredness has a way of catching up with one!! I did feel bad as I snuggled deeper under my covers when Kim came to tell me she was off to work. Yeap Saturday school yet again.

Anyone seen BJ? Well need to go get somethings together or rather out of the way. Going to get us a small tree as soon as Kim returns home--then another party for the GD.

like poopoo-am getting an ear infection, so my equilibrium is off-my nose is running away from me, and I still have laryngitis while trying to answer the ohone at work-I do have to run to walmart for dog food, kitty litter a movie for DH stocking and some maroon paint in a few mins....

BJ is probably still making her "critters" last I heard she was working on 2 butterflies. She hasn't posted a pix of them, but then I was gone all day yesterday so what do I know huh?

That and Don coming home and stuff she was supposed to do while he was gone & didn't-she is probably just busy...

You caught that cold from having to be out in that cold weather, Tuesday didn't you?

That, MIL, DH and the one girl at work-Mom & the girl at work have a head cold and DH has a chest cold, and I think my 4 hrs in the rain and 33* weather DID NOT HELP!! That rain soaked through my heavy winter coat, my hoodie and my shirt, had water running down my back and into my jeans, soaked through 1 snow boot, and my carharts....

That is not right, that you should have to be out in those conditions. Do you take Airborne? Working in an office like that you need extra potection againt germs.

no-probably should though-it will be OK as I plan to be unemployed here soon-MIL says it is another sign that is SMASHING me over the head to get the h-e double hockey sticks out....

OMG Cindy you drink what I drink I love Bloody Beers. You are sounding more and more like me. I think that I may have to have one Of the bloody beers now My sister and I were wraping my Grandkids X-mass Present and I am not much of aa wine drinker but I did the hole bottle and not feeling qiute well the coffee is just not what I want

I am also an early person to get up I wake up and thats it but I two take a nap

Kim, I was thinking the same thing the other day when we were talking about Harleys. Blood Beer in a frosty mug on a hot summer day goes down real fast, lol. I usually drink vodka.

After working on the Road Tollway and it been 85 all day and the hot sun beatting on me it great to have a very Cold Blood beer

Sorry I went missing yesterday... I was lurking, and kept up on the reading, but my hands are swollen, and the joints in my hands hurt... I think they call it arthritis... must be all the mashing clay I've been doing.
Not much to say here... nothing exciting happening here, ho hum.

Trisha... I'm so keeping Sam in my prayers. What an awful thing to do to a sister. My middle son did an awful thing to his older brother once, and forgiveness hasn't come easy... my heart goes out to Sam, and the whole family.

Well, I've got to go fix Don's lunch... he's working local for a few days now... so, got to stay on my toes a bit more.
