OH Trisha, that is BEAUTIFUL. LK, that is so cute. Are we now FROFFIE SISTAHS? LOL.
I think we should post our pix at the same time. Christmas Eve is good for me.
Thanks LK Those Are soooo Cute!!!!
Talk to you all later, Laura and I have to do some shopping while DSIL can watch the kiddies...
Oooo... I love that necklace, Trisha... Happy B'day!!!!
Well, I'm an ELF too... trying to tell us all something here, Jaye? hmmmm...
Embellish it? Ok... you go first !!!
Happy Birthday, Trishia!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Beautiful necklace - but it's kind of hard to beat those froffie toilet scrubbers, huh? LOL! Hope you enjoyed your day.
Jaye, haven't opened the package yet but got my hat, too.
Here's the recipe Marion requested:
Best Rum Cake Ever
(I highly recommend the recipe, but not the cake)
1 or 2 quarts rum
1 cup butter
1 teaspoon sugar
2 large eggs
1 cup dried fruit
baking powder
1 teaspoon soda
lemon juice
brown sugar
nuts
Before starting, sample the rum for quality. Good, isn’t it? Ok, go ahead. Select a large mixing bowl, measuring cup, etc. Check the rum again. It must be just right. To confirm the rum is of the highest quality, pour level cup of rum into a glass and drink it as fast as you can. Repeat. With electric mixer, beat 1 cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl. Add 1 seaspoon of thugar and beat again.
Meanwhile, make sure the rum is the finest quality. Try another cup. Open second quart if necessary. Add 2 arge leggs, 2 cups fried druit and beat until high. If druit gets stuck in beaters, jut pry it loose with a drewscriver. Sample the rum again, checking the consisticity.
Next, sift 3 cups of pepper or salt (really doesn’t matter). Sample the rum again. Sift ½ pint of lemon juice. Fold in chopped butter and strained nuts. Add 1 babblespoon brown thugar or whatever color you have and wix mell. Grease oven and turn cake pan to 350 gredees. Now pour the whole mess into the boven and ake. Check the rum again and bo to ged.
I don't know anything about those kind of dogs, but they sure are cute. How big do they get? Are you going to sell them?
I can't promote business here, so I have to be careful how I answer that. Yes, I sell them. (Hope it's okay to say that). Our dogs are our pets, they take over our lives, sleep on the bed, run the house. We only breed once or twice a year. I only breed for love of the breed (and carefully, my Sire and Dam are fully health tested), they are awesome, loving dogs. Here's a pic of our 4 adult dogs doing what they do best... taking over the bed, LOL! Chocolate Lab Cadbury is front and center, Daddy Hayden to the right of Cadbury, Momma Rossi to the right of Hayden, and Rossi and Hayden's firstborn (who we kept) Millie, to the left of Cadbury. They range between 12 - 20 lbs. They are lap dogs, really.
Brenda
The pups are beautiful, Brenda. Love those little bellies! Cadbury is all grown up! That's a hoot with them sprawled on the sofa.
Thanks, Debra, looking back on that first shot, there might only be 4 in the box... one of them must be out wandering the kitchen, peeing... LOL!
Brenda, those puppies are adorable!!! How can anyone resist that face, and those big eyes!!!
Cindy, You dog looks like he is a big sofa dog too? How old is he?
LK
Cindy, your dog is just beautiful! I love all dogs... funny because I wasn't a dog person in my earlier days. I soooo am a dog person now... just love them all! Our dogs all sleep on their back like that all the time. Guess they're pretty relaxed, eh? ☺!
Oh Brenda, why did you do that to me? I want a puppy so badly but can't have it at this house--lake and no fence!!! I love the little fat tummies--just crying to be rubbed and scratched. Like your lab also.
Debra, Kim (daughter) came home tonight saying she needs to bake a cake for the faculty party after school on Monday. I showed her the recipe--said she is not sharing!!!! Can you say stressed these last few days.
Trisha, what a beautiful necklace. Is that malachite? Hubby bought me some malachite earring while we were in Palestine and I love them. Such a beautiful stone!!! I sure hope you have had a wonderful day today.
Bear turned 4 in July. No he does not get on the sofa, BUT he does sneak up onto Rick's side of the bed. He is so gentle that you can't even feel it when he gets on the bed. He has the most unique personality. I fell in love with him the first time I met him.
Happy Birthday Trisha!
It's so funny when he does that. I will try and get a pix next time he does it. When Bucky was alive and became a house dog he started doing it. He was very over weight, so it took him a couple of rolls to get on his back. Then he would sleep like that for a good hour. I can't even sleep for long on my back.
*hic* thadd guuod dum cake.. dow whad do I so wid de drewscriver?
..me go deaux deaux now..
Beautiful Dogs, all of them...I am definitely a Dog Person....shhhh the cat might hear....
The necklace IS Beautiful.....I LOVE IT.....Thank all of you sooo much!!!!!
So glad you like it Trisha!
That wasn't nice of us to play a bad joke on you like that huh? But at least your bathroom will be 'froggy' friendly!
Thank you Laura for not spilling the beans.. oh to be a fly on the wall when you open that box, Trisha!
LOL, I had no idea you were playing a joke on Trisha. Well it ended very well, right Trisha? Boy I sure hope you're all around when my B-day. oh wait we might be at BJ's then.....hhhmmmm
Maid M, you got that right. It's a malachite.
Me and Kel love all furry critters! Oooh Brenda, to be living next door to you, we'll definitely be making trips often just to hold the pups.
Cindy, our oldest was at one time so overweight, it took more than a couple of rolls. And once on his back, he'd snore right away!
Hey Hey Jaye! Love my hat!
And the Christmas card is worded just as I would hear you speak! Thank you sis!
Jaye, that cracked me up, your post about "thadd guuod dum cake", rotflmao! You're all welcome to visit the babies, but hopefully they will be finding their new families by Christmas! The rest of the pack is available for mooshy greetings year round!
Adorable puppies... I WANT ONE!!! ... I miss my doggies. But wait... we decided we're not ready to get another one... but they're too cute, for sure.
Nope, LK... didn't get much shopping done... I did get about 20 pieces of mail going out to some of you... and I did get some groceries... and a few other things we needed...
Actually, I would be pleased if we could just skip this Christmas, and go right on to Spring... I celebrate Christ's birth everyday anyway... so, let's just get on with it.
Bah Humbug. (jk, I really don't mean that... promise)
A thunk ull git Don to hulp me cake that bake tomsime.

Happy Birthday Trisha!♥♥♥
Marion and Judy, bring your santa hats to my house for a pic! 12-26-08
I'm off until Monday. keep'em straight BJ!
*sigh*... I'll try... but you know how these sistahs can get out of hand.
Have a GREAT trip, Deborah... hug MOM for me.
ROFL... remember the NAME game that Debra had us all playing? Linda Kay is the one that won the box of chocolates by guessing Debra's middle name. Well, ladies... our own LK has such a big heart that she actually had Debra send ME the box of choccies. Now, how sweet is that?
Thank you LK !!!
(Waving) I got my hat and while I don't look good in any hat I will gladly make this one. I think I am too big to be an elf and too single to be Mrs. Santa; guess I'll just have to be a helper.
I was perfectly happy with the first package.....if you knew how much fun I had watching my cat get acquainted with that new critter in Her bathroom....it was hysterical! But I have to tell you this beautiful necklace brought me to tears, I do love it...and I love all of you.....and I can't believe Laura was in on this the whole time!!!!
I can't believe the artwork in the eye of a needle......and I thought some of the stuff I have done was small.....Oh My!!
Deborah have a wonderful trip !
Good luck with the stitches LK!
((((((((((((((((Hugs to All My Sistahs and Niece and Daughter)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Deborah, hug your mama tight for us! Watch the speed limit now Larry.
LK is such a great sistah to sacrifice her choccies for your BJ :D
You got a good daughter there, Trisha! Yep, she promised not to say a word!!! But she also helped us decide on what to get for you.
Jewelry always enhance a woman's beauty ^_^
Thanks Laura!
Janice, glad you got it. Have fun with it!
Well I'm off to bed.. goodnight all.
Night Jaye ((((((((((hugs))))))))) have a good night!
Stacey, I’m so sorry your work environment has gotten so bad! I have to agree with what other people have said; take any paid time off you have, then resign. A bad job is often worse than no job. From the sounds of it you’d probably be happier flipping burgers than where you are now.
If it’s affecting your health go to your doctor and get it documented. I had a friend, ironical also named Stacey, in a similar situation a couple years ago and she was able to arrange a cease work due to medical reasons.
You know… I’ve been fired/laid off from several jobs for going above my bosses head when something wasn’t right and being labeled a “trouble maker” might be worth a shot. I think talking to HR is a win – win situation.
Jaye, I saved the kitty picture to Sage’s folder.
I wrote the following before I saw mom’s post; I wanted to say that since it is pretty much a repeat.
Nope, I was good, though when she got it she said she didn’t think anything weird about the first present and was quite happy with the earrings, but she really does love the necklace, you did a great job in picking it out.
Well, that confrontation that I had with that worker yesterday may work out in my favor-if boss won't fire her, then I can quit and still get unemployment-I researched it and if I feel threatened or harassed, I have to notify and give a chance to rectify the situation, and then if it is ignored, then I can quit justifyably-at least that is how I understand it-maybe Mom can see if I am correct on that....I tried to find a # to the UIA, but there were only ones for filing a claim-not a ?? line...
Brenda-those pups are about the cutest thing I have seen in a long time....
I am sick:( I barely have a voice, a dry cough and sinus conjestion-I think I have DH chest cold and mom's head cold:( Taking Zicam and Robitussin....
