What a cutie, Anita! God bless.

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

You don't know me as I am new to the Northeast Gardening forum, and do not post often, but I had to tell you what a beautiful baby your niece is! You are a lucky auntie! ^_^

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Oh my goodness Anita she was born on my grandaughters 1st birthday! Erica is beautiful! I wish we lived closer so we could introduce them to each other!!

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Oh, what a sweetie-pie! We all know Auntie Anita is NOT going to spoil her. Yeah, right! :)

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Some more pond shots - I love when the ice is first forming. The patterns are so cool.

Very cool shots Victor. I really like the beech tree, great character. The ice pond shots are really neat too, great texture, too bad they will be under a blanket of white soon.

So sweet Anita, congrats.

What a cutie, Anita! Shelley, hard to fathom that you don't have cardinals, they are so common here--but I was birding down south 1 day, & some kid next to me said he wished to see a junco! They are everywhere here! You sometimes forget we really do have regions, even though our country is getting pretty homogenized. Nice photos from Victor---I am going to plant a crape myrtle this spring--if I still have any money left!

The boring old grass has been replaced by the boring old snow!

But it's prettier by the evergreens!

Nothing artistic or exceptional about this pic except that it's a couple of big fat Camellia buds. Come on April!

Erica is adorable, Anita! So sweet!

Welcome to our Northeastern Gardening forum, Phoebe. I think I chatted with you about my Stromanthe.

Karen

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Oh, that means the neighbor's camellia will be in bloom in a while. Yippee! They look so pretty when nothing else is blooming.

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

T'was I Karen...Hi--I think I've seen you on the AV forum also. That's where you will usually find me. How's the storm doing your way?

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

The storm is doing, is all I can say. Just glad I'm not out driving in it or stuck somewhere. Safe and warm at home right now. There's no place like home, as they say. We will see how much snow we have by morning. I can't wait to see it. I think it's so pretty, though winter is not my favorite season, only because I don't like the cold and I like being out in my gardens getting things done.

Well it finally stopped, just under 11", but it has started to snow again now. Just light snow. Here are some pics I took. This is after about a half hour. Not too clear but a couple of birds were getting a last meal.

Early this am, flash caught the snow flakes.

The snow was a mix of light fluffy and sticky wet that is clinging to the trees.

My garden bench, not too inviting right now.

Not much color in the garden now, I miss it.

I'm already fed up with the snow, but that is a really pretty picture!

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Oh ya, said the same thing as I was shoveling the last couple inches that fell last night from the front walk and steps. Glad I did it several times though. Too much to ty to shovel all at once. Is it it spring yet?

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Yes, hurry up, spring. The snow sure is pretty, though. Took me quite awhile to dig out my driveway. Here are some pics I took this morning after doing that. I'm going out in just a bit to take some more pictures.

The only flower left blooming in the garden. This is and everlasting flower called Pink Dreams. Ha! And if you believe that, then I also have some ocean front property in Arizona I'm looking to sell. He, hee!

Great winter pics you guys. Love that 'Pink Dreams' Karen. This time of year, take color where ever you can.
Victor you seem to have a lot of color left in your garden. Red berries and colorful leaves, nice. Most all the leaves and berries that were here are long gone now.If not for the few evergreen trees and shrubs it would be a black and white world. Thanks for sharing your colors both of you. :)
