I'll use my pond photo from yesterday. Approaching winter and snow - blah! Keep the photos coming - including the snowy ones.
Garden Photos - Part 46
you bet
Beautiful icy pictures! Dangerous!
Wasn't that storm just about this time (December 8) last year, Bev?
Tons of broken trees all over, many states, as I recall.
We have winter in full swing, in these here parts.
Wyn those were taken in our Jan Ice storm. BEV
Had I known, Patti, I could have sent you a ton! We had a plethera. I raked them all out of my yard and dumped them in the outback, so the deer and the squirrels can have at'em without coming into my yard. I have probably 25-30 mature oaks growing within a stone's throw of my property.
As much as I hate all the destruction caused by ice storms, since childhood I have been just fascinated by their beauty. Even the the likes of Victor's picture of the pond. We had several places we could play hockey, once the swamps and "cricks" froze. Love looking through the ice to what lies below.
Question re: the Christmas cards that were posted on the last thread. How do you print them without the text from the post on the side? I would like print them off to put up with the rest of my cards. Thanks muchly.

Got it. Thanks.
Nice shots, Pat and Celeste. Like the berries and the hibiscus.
Ngam, I love the berries as well. Pixie that last amaryllis is really vibrant. i love it.
Thanks, Anita. I took an even better picture of trees covered in hoar frost back in the late 80's or early 90's in Fallon, NV. That's when I was doing slides and prints. It's on a slide. I have it somewhere. Someday I will get a slide and negative scanner and scan all my old stuff for digital images. Anyhow, that one with the hoar frost came out really nice.
Nice card, Anita, and same for your JoAnn.
Yes, you did post that somewhere else, Willie, and it's excellent. I think you said it was a photo you took and did some digital manipulation with it.
Nice shots, everyone!
Karen
Yeah, nice shots everyone!
Looks like a post card
Hi Harper!!!!! Where have you been????? I've missed you!!!!!
great pics....but they are making me cold....brrrrr
Hi Harper!! Wow, great shot, Bev!
Thanks Victor
Yes, Harper where ya been???
Great shots of poinsettia and amaryllis, very festive. The cold of the frost pic and warm sunrise are perfect for the goofy weather we are having this week. Thanks for the nice comments on my little red berries, but they would not show up as well today since all the snow is long gone this am.
That hoar frost is amazing---just glad it's not here. However, since heavy icing is forecast, I may have a mess here, also.
Bev, that hoar frost shot is fantastic! When I lived in northern NV we got hoar frost in the winter. We would get freezing fog that the local natives called Pogonip. I think it meant white death, or something like that. It was very cold and covered everything with frost. Very beautiful.
Karen
Is that the right spelling?
