I have also been 3 days with the flu... but feeling better now...

Karen glad you are working on your house delima... girl.. I have been there but I watched my house be sold on the courthouse steps... one i helped build from the ground up.. I know your pain!! Hope you get to feeling better soon...

Snowed here too last night.. kinda weird since we were in the 70's yesterday.... and rarely see snow here!
Got the ornaments today, and i am in awe of the talents of you girls!! WOW... I only received 11... Karen is that right?? Anyway.. you girls didn't say who each ornament was from.. A few did, but i want to thank each personally, but i'd like to know which belongs to who..lol

Patience being practiced here, waiting for everyone to get ornaments so they can post pictures. I know I'm not the only one anxiously waiting. LOL

Karen, sigh of relief from me on the news about your home. I know how lawyers can send scare tactics. I've been there, but in a different kind of situation. I have no respect for lawyers who love to scare people like this on any kind of problem.

I'm excited too, Pegi! I keep looking at the one AnjL sent and wondering about the others! I'm running errands after while.. ;) hope everyone is feeling better this afternoon and on the mend.... My ornaments came.. I too am amazed and the skills of each of you.. FISH SCALES.. REALLY!!!!???? I keep looking. LOL Yes, those from me are NOTHING BUT THREAD!

Yep, mine was actually made with fish scales, but compared to the one ornament that just arrived, way lots more talented and creative people than me.

Sheez..............it is still raining. I am sorry but this weather is making me crazy! For those of you who ask, we heat with oil, and the temp is usually 68 to 71 deg. with 38 humidity today. It has been difficult to even keep up the humidity in the greenhouse without drowning everything. I don't know why. I use electric heat in there, that may be the problem. Oh well, I will try and keep my brugs alive that I have and as soon as I get the holiday season over with I will get back to my plants. I have been so lucky with the jasmine sambac "Maid of Orleans" I took about 30 or more cuttings in Sept. and they all survived. The jasmine sure love my greenhouse. loll. oops, this is the brug list. sorry.

Believe it or not, I had tree customers today. People are funny. Later bruggers. Hugs to all and HO HO HO.......JB

ya'll are driving me nuts with talk of snow south of me.. it just skipped right over me and went south.. we had a few flakes and that was all... we got the cold though.. got down to 19 night before last but up in the 60's again... I LOVE SNOW! I love to see my dogs play it it and really moved back here almost 6 years ago just to have a place they would have snow to play in... only had enough snow twice in that time and I missed it once because I had just had back surgery! Just my luck. Weather has changed so much since I was a kid here. We used to get a lot more snow here.. palm trees grow here now. At least some kinds survive.

Do we know who has and has not received their ornaments yet? I am sure those of you who have not and did not participate are really wondering what we are talking about... LOL..fish scales,.... thread,..... bottle caps..... LOL

Karen, Becky, Tammi, Ann Marie, Ella and Joyce A Great Big Thank You. Loved them. Cannot say anything else at this time or show pictures because someone may not have their box yet. The other ornaments do not have names, I Thank each of you and have (with pride) hung them on a special tree. Please let me know what you sent so I can say a proper thank you. I'm so excited, sure do want to post the pictures. Each ornament is pictured separately and stored in my pictures folder.

Anxiously waiting for pictures of ornaments. I know I have to wait until everyone gets their box, but waiting is not one of my vitures. LOL

Every morning I announce that I have to go and check on my brug, so today I counted 7 buds, so excited. Some are so tiny yet, but they are growing each day. My yellow NOID is fighting to keep growing despite some of the green worms. So hard to find, but got another big one today, down the toilet he went after showing DH what I'm up against.

Finally getting some of the inside word done, divider is going to look nice once it is finished. Heard a lot of thunder this morning so rain will be coming shortly. We sure do need it. Still sunny days, glad I don't have to be in the snow although the pictures are so pretty.

Evening everybody!!!!!!!!!! Was a wild ride with weather here yesterday and cold and still widy today. Gonan be about a whole 25 tonight and a few degrees warming tommorrow and then it onan be back in the fifties almost 60 at night. I give up. Can't keep up with the weather. It gets warm and my brugs start tryign to grow some leave s gets cold and they shiver.

No box today. Hopefully it wil come tommorrow. Am I the only waiting on a box yet?

A cold and frosty mornign to ya all!

Hot coffee and Hot tea this morning for those who need a quick warm up or a time to get the day moving pick me up. Hot bowls of apple and cinnamin oatmeal (___) too. help your self. Will warm the inards.

Wanted to go to flea market this morning, but so frosty out and by the time the sun melts it all folks will probably be tearing down booths. Wanted to go see if I could find bungles of socks cheap. I like to get a box of oranges and apples or tangerines and put them in a sock and then go around and hang em on folks doors for Christmas that need a little cheer. Just have to watch that I don't have somebody coming behind me and collecting them all for themselves.

I remember back when I was a kid and sales peopel used to hang them boxes of detergent or fabric softener or somethign on the door and I would go behind and collect em and bring em home. The first time, I had told my mom , man was passign em out. When I came hoem with the second batch. I got my tail blisterd and was made to go put em all back on the doors. Think I was about 6 or 7 at the time, when neighborhoods were safe to roam, but never forgot that lesson of never touching somethign if it ain't yours. LOL

I thought ya'll might like to know more about the fish scale poinsettias that Ella made. The scales are from an alligator gar fish, they are long, nasty creatures, that bite, with mouths and teeth like alligators. Ella actually had the fish and boiled the scales down first to clean them good , and then made the ornaments from there. You can either use it as a brooch or hang it on your tree with a little ribbon. Just divine craftsmanship Ella!

I think they are amazing.. FISH SCALES>>... talk about making use of every part!!! LOL

here is Ajils ( ann marie) little work bench fits in just the right spot!

Since you are posting pictures.. you will notice.. the angels and snowflakes.. many are different.. types and colors! Keep you on your toes!

I got my box of wonderful ornaments. I am going to put a little tree in my garden room and keep it up year round. I love them. I don't know how you all can think of these designs. Everyone is so creative. Amazing. What wonderful memories to keep from all of you.

Morning everybody! Coffee all around for folks. Not sure where evrybody lives at, but sure hope some of our BB's are not in th areas without power during these cold times and if they are, hope they finding warmth and shelter for themselves and their families somewhere.

Cool. !!!!!!!! Such neat things, can't wait til mine get here. Have had Anjil pottign bench sittign right next to me by the puter keepign me company. So much talent and neat ideas and designs.

Karen.. Thanks for the full name. I only knew they was called a gar. And your so right it is ugly and a bear to catch. Best to catch them when the creeks and stream banks get low and they get trapped. The one thign ya don't want to do is have cats and try and clean one. LOL They would go crazy. As it is the cats in the neighborhood can smell em cooking down.

Takes days to boil the fish down and get the scales off, but if ya catch a good sized fish, you cna have tons of scales to play with. You can make all kinds of flower shapes with them. Tried to take a pic of my sunflowers on a rock, but not enough light in the kitchen and the pic comes out dark and looks ugly.

If yoru hubbies want an excuse to go fishing, tell em go ahead and go but bring ya back a gar fish too. : )

Supposed to warm up today, and can't wait. I need to go outside and let the body photosynthesize some. I need fresh air, even if it rakign leaves and picking up branches from storm the other day.

Ella.... ty for the coffee.. the wind is whipping outside.... not a good day to be out. I was out helping the man finish my GH yesterday, and I was wishing I liked to wear caps.... was windy yesterday as well..lol

TY everyone for the Christmas Ornament swap!! I have dmailed everyone, but want to thank each of you as well here. I realized to quick that not everyone hasn't gotten theirs yet. Hope we haven't spoiled the fun for those, but they are all just so pretty and unique... just like each of us..lol.. and i will cherish each and every one!!

I had great fun making them and at last the extra "auntBee" owner is found.. funny it was you Debra, I could have brought it to you! lol I'll go ahead a post a pic, I had pieces and parts of these spread on my dining table for weeks..
Cold and very windy here, I'm going out shopping - weather man says add snow to the mix tomorrow-30% chance, which means it may snow a foot (lol)... Seize the day HBA's!

I am going to find a pic of that alligator gar, the whole process has me curious. Like how the "petals" attach to the fish, (pointy end or the other)... I'm just inquisitive like that.. I best get moving if I want to get some Christmas shopping in before the groceries... I feel like making goodies next week since the weather is so iffy.. for sure mixing up cut out sugar cookies and chex mix and a new recipe from Karen called "Dirty" TV mix.. it's a spicier version. Kids will all be home Christmas Eve and Christmas day so I'm a happy B.
