Oh my I found the best seat!!! Lookie, lookie I got the big soft recliner. Nay, nay.
I made the hop, and I brought the Bailey's with.
LK
Shucks Tink, did you have to beat me? Not nice to do that to your old Auntie. LOL
Good for you Linda Kay. Just a drop in my coffee please--I am living dangerously today.
Maid M.. you just sat on Kel's lap!!!!!!!
OH WOW!!!!! You wil let me? Hope he has a strong lap! LOL
Yup-HAHA-I got here first-and yes LK:)
Cindy, check the galleries on http://www.brugmansia.us/
Your NOIDs are lovely. I love the deep rose along the edge. Isabella is like yours but lighter rose edge. Save a cutting for me. I have quite a few lovely NOIDS that I won't give up.
Thanks LK.. "chocolate evolution"...love that concept!!!
Ok.. Judy, just for you, tonight, we'll 'release' that 97 Turning Leaf Cabernet Sauvignon!! Wooohoooo... so more time for you to play!!
I got a drop of Riley's in my coffee.. I'm living dangerously today!
Jaye what are NOIDs? I don't know a whole lot about these plants.
NOID= No I.D.
We all start from not knowing and learnt a lot like you, by asking, Cindy. Only golden advice I have with Brugs that I can share with you is this :"Relax, and enjoy them!"
Now why must you bring up sugar free choccies, Niece!!! O cruel, cruel world!!
No ID Cindy
TANTE JAYE-this place is AWESOME TOO!!!

I am hoping someone will take pity on you and order you some for Xmas;) tee hee hee
AHH, learn something new everyday lol Thanks
YW Cindy!
You're just too much my niece!! Awww.. making me cry here.. but please, I'm lucky to be in the States where diabetics have a huge selection of sugar free goodies.
My niece who's on the pump, living in France, gets all her sugar free candies, gums, instant jellos, puddings from me. Not much stuffs there for the juvenile diabetics to enjoy. When she was here, she gorged on the sugar free ice-cream!
Mornin' Ladies, sorry to leave you hanging, it's been a busy morning and I couldn't get on here sooner, then I had to take 20 minutes to catch up! LOL!
So, here's the rest of the Christmas empty nest story...
I put up the $30 Target tree, and decorated it, and listened to holiday music, and I felt better! I know this sounds corny, but it helped me remember all the lovely Christmases past, and look forward to Christmases future. It also spurred me to do something about not meeting the right men. As an experiment, I signed myself up on some dating websites, you know, like match.com and the like. And, I was brutally honest about who I am and what I was looking for. I asked the Universe specifically for the kind of man I wished to share my life with. I thought, well, it can't hurt.
Right after Christmas, I was contacted by someone interesting that found me on match.com. We emailed, we talked on the phone, I checked up on him (you can do a lot of research on the internet). We agreed to meet after about a week. We've been together ever since, he's my husband Tony. We'll be celebrating our first 6 years together in January.
So, now when I put up the $30 Target tree, which I do every year, I am reminded that although sometimes things don't seem so rosey, you never know what blessings lie around the corner for you!
Many happy Christmas blessings to you all!
Brenda
Oh I have chill bumps Brenda. I love the story and thanks for finishing it. Best wishes to you and Tony. OH that made me feel soooo good.
Brenda, that is a wonderful story. And a very nice ending at that!!!
LK
I am having a lot of computer problems, so I am going to try to make a restore disc, and restore my computer, so if you don't see me online for a few days, you know my laptop went flying down the road somewhere. I have a new Dell desktop coming next week, but not soon enough!
LK
Every year my home town has a Festival of Lights Parade. In 2004 Merry Maids decided to be in it. In the pix I'm the 2nd from the left. We will be going to the parade this Saturday.

Match.com, that is how Rick and I met.
Brenda, your story gave me goose bumps too. So for those women looking for another mate you should check it out. My manager from MerryMaids, her mom met her husband there.
Wow!!!!! That's divine intervention sistahs!!!!
It's good to share, reminds me how fortunate I am.
Love the merry maids parade pic! How fun!
Debra, we're all still waiting to hear your middle name, I think evey "J" name on the planet has been guessed! LOL!
Brenda
My mom met several guys on match.com-all weirdos-one guy thought my mom was frivilous and after his $$ (which he didn't have any) because she didn't buy her undies and the goodwill:(-ewww-used undies
Yes, Fairy... you have to be very careful, do research on the person, don't meet until you've gotten basic information and checked it out, meet in a public place at first, etc. But there are some good ones out there!
I agree.... ewwww, used underwear! Yikes!
Brenda
I know-it seems like if there was a frek on match.com it got matched with her!!LOL She did find her current beau on a local dating site though, and he seems to be semi normal;)
I met my DH when he delivered my pizza 11 yrs ago;)
Deborah dahlin... if you have a lil time, can you please post your likes and dislikes here. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/929419/
Your buddy don't want to displease you.
Oh man I would NEVER buy used underwear at the thrift stores. The Goodwill that I worked at we did NOT sell used underwear no way thatis gross yuk
Yea some people don't luck out. I was making a date with another guy when Rick emailed me. Well I didn't want to deal with 2 guys at the same time.So I went on my "date" (we went to In-N-Out) and met Keith. He was still hung up on his girlfriend that left him so that ended that. So that night I decided to read Rick's profile again and emailed him back. I was online when all of a sudden I got an IM it was Rick. We talked for 3 or 4 hours that night and for the next two nights, thenon the fourth day I decided to meet him. LOL he about feel off his stool when I suggested it. That was March 20, 2006 and we've been together every since ^_^
I guess my buddy knows what I like;)
Love reading these meetings made in heaven.
So, niece, you can't look at a pizza the same way anymore huh?
Maid M.. how did you and Ross met? I bet there were fireworks!!
Nope-look at a pie and see a big hunk of burnin love!!
ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BJ, why does Don have to go to the Cold side of the State.....he needs to be on this side of the mountains and bring you with him!!!! We'll do our best to look after him!!!
My DS met his SO on My Space. They will have been together 3 years on the 13th.
Made it through yesterday, now my house looks like a cyclone (me on not enough meds) went through, so guess what I will be doing most of the day (not as difficult a questions to answer as some of those above).
It was in the low 30's last night......will take me half the day just to get warmed up again.
A wave and a hug to all the rest of you Sistahs.....I type too slow to ever catch up..
I was car hopping at my uncle's drive in resturant. He was doing an inventory of artsian wells in the area and came there with his working buddy for hamburgers each night. Turns out his buddy was doing that so he would met someone. Little did he know it would that way for 47 years--44 married, 3 dating. I was starting my senior year of HS and he was already finished with college! Gasp!!!! I hear it now but just remember this ladies, my dad always told me" it was better to be an old man's sweetie and a young man fool. " Just listened to his advice!~!!
Jaye your turn!!!!
