Tina, can you only imagine what it would be like if we were all together. Mouths go much faster than fingers!!! LOL What a bunch of gaggling goosey we would be. Still like the idea. Big plans for the Holidays?
۞ Sweet Interruptions ۞ 68
Well hello Deborah dear. How are you feeling tonight? Remember you can't help someone else if you are "bone tired"!!
Marion... I don't think I need to worry about blowing away in a wind storm. Put on 4# since I started eating "real" food again last week.
Deborah... you tell Aunt Lisa that you got a bunch of prayer warriors here that are lifting her up... so glad she's improving.
I can talk alot faster than I can type . That's why I read. By the time I get ready to post ya'll have stared a new thread!! lol
SEE !!! lol
LOL... happens to me all the time too, Tina... these girls do move pretty fast.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. Y'all just don't know how much beeing able to come sit in my computer chair and talk to y'all or just read what y'all are up to. Y'all all make a cup of coffee go down smoothly. Know what I mean? Comfort and comfortable around my sistahs. Whew, my meds are working for me know. Please forgive me if I offended anyone of you when I was crazy sick. I love you all. I'm feeling better, then bam a wammo, my aunt gets sick just when I was starting to pull myself together. I'm trying really hard to keep for falling back into deep depression. I can't afford to do that again especially when paroidia follows suit.
I do feel such a connection with each and every one of you. You new sistahs are just as warm and easy to talk with too. I want to get to know y'all better so type away. I'm Deborah to most, Southern Bell, Georgia Peach and Madam Butterfly to some. I don't care what you call me. JUST CALL ME!!!!
My granny (daddy's mama) was named Georgia Bell. My other granny (my mamas ma) was Juanita Mae. What was your granny's name? Let's see some old time names.
I like to think of you as our Southern Bell... just suits you.
Jaye's our Asian Cajun... just like saying that out loud.
Marion is Maiden M.... but she's more like the Matriarch of the bunch... she keeps us all in line.
Kim the Exotic started out as Kim of Kimarj... which is really more fun to say.
Flamingo Kim... cause... well she collects Flamingos.
Me, and most of the others, really don't have a nick name...
My grandma's name was Agnes May
Okay, my Mom's mom was Lula Mae from Adele GA, and my Dad's mom was Annie Elizabeth. Deborah, I do so want to get together and have lunch one day---let me rephrase that: I want to come take you out to lunch. This has dragged out long enough--we need to meet in person real soon. I know things are very "iffy" right now but hopefully we can arrange this soon.
Tina from MB, come on down and join us. Heck come on down to Havana and visit with me!! Have room--just us girls.
My mom's mom was named Rosa Lee... but us grand kids all called her Big Mama.
My dad's mom was named Rose (don't know middle name)... and we never knew her because she died when my dad was young.
If I had had a little girl (had 3 boys, no girls).. her name was going to be Rosanna Lee... after my Big Mama, and my sister, Joanna Lee.
How did you get your name? From a family name? what about your DG name?
I was named Deborah from the Judge in the Old Testiment. My middle name is Joyce from my mama's middle name. My family calls me Deborah Joyce. Us southern women usually go by first and middle name. That's the southern law, I'm sure it's in the books somers.
My DG name was stolen from my husbands handle on his UGA Dog Vent cuz I couldn't think quick enough when I signed onto Daves. Dave's was the first internet web site I'd visited that you sign up onto. I wasn't expecting to have to come up with a DG name and it scared me. Crazy to say, but it was. Cordele is my town, Dawg is my husbands college mascot (bulldog). He got mad at me (a funny mad) and changed his Vent name. LOL When some of the folks he argues with on his dog vent ask wheres Cordeledawg, he (under his new name) answers, I think he took up gardening.
Oh I do thank you BJ --matriarch? I keep saying I be old but I ain't dead. Let's rephrase that also: Calender wise, yes I am older and on some days by knees remind me but brain and thinking wise--I am no older than any of the rest of you. That is atleast the way I feel.
OH BJ, you do have nick names--just let Tinky get started!! BTW where is she? Is she okay? She is getting lots of cousins here as most of our new sistah are nieces.
Isn't BJ begals and jiggles?
My dad's mothers name was Lou Ora from Sylacauga Alabama
ROFL... too funny.
My dad named me Brenda after Brenda Lee the actress... my Uncle Bobby named me Joyce after a girlfriend he had at the time. I was called Brenda Joyce most my life by my mom and Big Mama, but mostly when they're about to scold me. My dad called me Raggedy Ann before I went to Kindergarten, then mom made him stop it.
Yes for one name. Tink has a bunch of them. Deborah my name is Marion Searle--named for the wife of G. D. Searle Chemical Co. My dad was a hunting guide and he was one of my dad's clients. So when I wasn't a boy he named me the above. Always said it would have been nice if they had given me stock with the name. Oops in todays market maybe not.
Stacey (fairy1004) is Staceypoo to me. BJ calles Fairy "what ever strikes BJ's fancy at the moment" like Fairy Lips, Fairy knees, ete
Isn't Marion Tante M to Staceypoo?
Yes, Marion we gotta get together! If you're driving all the way up here, the least I can do is have you spend the night and take YOU out to eat!
Oh, Yea... Fairy1004 (aka Stacey) calls me Auntie Biggles and Jiggles, or Bartles and James, or anything she can think of that starts with B & J.
Oh BJ, that reminds me what you said about scolding.....All three of our names got called out and you just knew the peach switch must be in the hand of the caller. LOL
Nope Auntie M; Jaye is Tante Jaye. Deborah is isn't nice to argue with your elders!! LOL
It isn't all that far from me. Not when I am used to driving 150 to Gainesville and then back several times a month. I know I am nuts.
Yep... I was in trouble so much when I was a kid, that the whole neighborhood knew all my names... The women in our family were blessed with very healthy lungs.
Isn't Kathy Chickie Mama? Or is that Tina?
Must be a southern thing also.
I thought Kathy was called Cookie same as Joyce at times.
How's your vendor planning coming along, Marion?
Kathy is Chickie Momma with a Gun.
Tina is Tia Tina Whatever.
Oh yea! I forgot. Marion always calls tina Tia Tina whatever. ROFLOL
Cookie is just Joyce I thought.
All these pet names on top of DG names combined with real names and then double names, our new sistahs are going to think wes got a 1,000 sistahhood enrollment. ROFLOL
Speaking of gun, did Kathy git that there chicken killer?
Last I heard her guineas chased off the dog...
I am working on getting the official invitations our within the next week. Purging the database and making address labels. Then the fun of folding and stuffing the envelopes after that the other 2 people involved take over. I actively jump back in when it comes time to assign the spaces--well other than chairing the committee meetings and seeing all the others are on top of their planning area. Fine I would say!! LOL Hopefully the website will be in operation the middle of January. Wahoo!! Been a long time coming.
For real?
Sounds like you are on top of your game plan there Marion! Good job sistah!
Dear sweet sistah, I am off to bed. Night everyone--Tina if you are lurking--have a great day tomorrow and don't forget to drop in with us.
BJ and Deborah, keep things straight but this lady is tired!!!
Nite Marion!
Night Night Marion... sleep tight.
Deborah ... and any others out there that want to jump right in here...
What's yo daddy's name?
My daddy's name was Joseph Willard... his brother's name was William Joseph... go figure, his mom didn't have much to choose from, I guess.
