I (hope) Iiiiiiiiiiiiiii'mmmmmmmmm baaaaaack! Had the 3rd injection by the first doctor. Had to hold onto him for awhile, he's my savior. I'm not sure if this is enough, or if it basically just a band-aide on the problem and surgery is really what's needed. I don't like the thought of neck surgery or having disks fused together. So much so, that I won't be able to actually turn my head, I'll have to turn my whole upper body or whole body, depending on how far back I'm wanting to look.

Thanksgiving was so-so, considering the pain and all the drugs I was on. My Christmas decorations still aren't all up. I over-did it one day and have had 0 energy since. sigh. I'm not sending anybody a Christmas card this year. We've done 0 Christmas shopping. This is going to be a tough $$$ wise Christmas this year, with all my dentist visits not covered, doctor visit deductible, things insurance wouldn't pay, etc. etc. To top it off, the Chiropractor sent me a bill today. I'm not paying the bill. My mom is paying the bill. It would appear after talking to my dad and the bill of mine for her that he just sent in, they're trying to get the "deal" amount from my mom and the rest of the visits costs from me. Wonderful, ain't it??

I'm keeping my time on the computer to a maximum of an hour and I've already been on for longer, so I best get off before my arm starts hurting again.

Crissy, you had been confused about something I had said, what were you confused about? You said to ask when I got back on and could explain, I think is what you had said. I know you wanted clarification on something when I could be on here to do it properly. I'll see how I'm feeling tomorrow and try to get on this site then to answer your question.

Well, there is currently ice outside and no snow yet. I'm staying home and inside except when I go get the mail.

He does his best, he just isn't like that. He's gotten them to do more to help out. The little one runs over the top of his sis and he's asked that she leave him at home next time. And the time after that...He's of the opinion that words are better than violence or anger. Which is why I fell in love with him. ☺

We got our snow yesterday and have more coming on the weekend.

Yeah, here too. All thru Monday. Tomorrow I have 4 wk reporting for unemployment and I was gonna go check out a new barn in the area and see if they are hiring for help. But I just may email instead because I can't tell if unexpected visitors are welcome or not. I'm chickening out bascially. LOL

We're going through the same thing. I just talked to my Unemployment guy this morning. He had questions, I had answers.

All I have to do is go to the nearest career center, get on a computer and basically click on 4 wk reporting. Then it's done.

I think I will just email the ranch. With it being so cold and all. Grrr...here I go again. LOL

LOL I know what you mean. I would love to work with animals but I don't have the muscle it would take any more.

If I keep sitting around the house like this I won't either!! LOL. I am thinking I will just go ahead and email them. I hate showing up at places unannounced unless they truely don't mind and I know they don't mind.

I won't call anyone because I'm afraid of interrupting something, let alone visit without notice. I just think it's rude to drop in on someone unless they're your best friend or boyfriend and that's just what you do.

Well, my dad came home early today so he could work on my truck but my truck is once again fighting back. The new set of hubs I bought awhile back to put on my truck won't fit for some reason. So my dad had to run back to town to see if he can get another set that will hopefully work. I have lost count on how many pairs that makes now.

What a day. Matches my mood I guess. Dreary and dark outside, snowing like crazy, no heat this morning at all, and my stomach is rolling for some reason. Also woke up to hear something happening here in IL, but since it's political and a current event, guess you all either know what I'm talking about or can look it up☺

Crissy, it's amazing what I remember sometimes. Can't think of what I had for lunch yesterday, but I remember reading you asking me something to clarify. I also remember non-important things, such as being 3 or 4 yrs old, I was home with German Measles, my mom was out in the back yard cutting lilacs, I was busy playing and well you know what little kids do when they're busy playing, and I got on my parents bed to jump up and down on the bed to yell out the window to my mom about what I'd just done, and I was wearing stretch red stirrup pants with the pucker seam down the front. The house was built in the early to mid 50's and the windows were all way up, almost to the ceiling. I had to jump really high on the bed to yell at my mommy...lol. The ceilings had to be about 100 million feet up or something☺

Which reminds me, you all were talking about height and ummmm other things. My sister is 5'10 1/2" tall (I say taller), legs up to her armpits, my brother is about 5'8", dad is probably the same, mom is 5'5". I come in as the shortest at 5'4 1/2". Even when we go to both our grandparents, dads parents and moms parents. Dads mom was about 5' even (maybe) and probably weighed 90lbs soaking wet. Moms mom is 5'2" and no clue how much she weighs. Certainly not wider than she is tall, but she's overweight. Our grandpas, paternal about 5'8" and maternal grandfather was 6'2". Hence my sisters tall-ness. Oh and let's not forget that my sister has had 3 children, 1 more than myself, and her body just whoop goes back to flat stomach. Mine, did not. sigh. That's when my hypothyroidism started and went undiagnosed for about 20 or better years. Ah well, it's fun to stand next to Rochelle and jump up trying to reach her height. Not sure if I ever do it though☺ She good be stocking footed and me in stilettos and I still wouldn't be as tall as she is. Oh well, such is life☺☺☺ (and I sure wouldn't exchange her life for mine!!)

Well girls, I need to find something on-line for my dad for Christmas.

Sounds like me with the emails, I haven't bought Christmas presents for my parents and their significant others' either. I was going to buy my mom and step-dad gift cards from Gevalia but can't get on their website here at work due to their security certificate expiring. Oh well. I don't know what to get dad and his girlfriend. Stumped on that one. I always like to keep it light because I have to ship it, or have it shipped directly to them.

Terry – I’m cracking up! I too have all this stuff in my head – I swear I’m ½ elephant! I remember everything! I’m hypo also (bummer). I was a 7 until I turned 43 – then my body turned against me. I used to be able to eat what I wanted when I wanted. Not anymore! I was a “snob” about it though. I’ve learned my lesson. I gained 80 lbs before my doc got it under control. You never know what people are going through – no judging anyone anymore. Are you on any medication? I read about “that” on MSN.com. I’ve never heard of him.

Celia - I've been meaning to tell you that I LOVE that picture of Monty!

So I'll continue with my story on why I can't stand my job, since I can't do this at work.

There are actually 2 owners. They have known each other all their lives and have been best friends. Deb (not her real name) is an alpha female. Harry (not his real name) is very sweet, patient, no real ambition. He came from money, so he works for fun.

They decide to hire a personal friend, Idiot (not his real name) to do my old job - which is pretty much 90% admin and 10% maintenance issues. It's not a difficult job. It takes a normal person about 2 weeks to get the hard stuff down. The down side is he's a "functional alcoholic" and a chain smoker. If he's not talking about drinking - he's drinking; he goes on 15 cigarette breaks a day - not kidding I've counted. The first item on his list of duties is to answer the phones. Do they get answered? No because he's always on a cigarette break. But Deb and Harry ADORE him...

Now don't get me wrong, everyone has a crutch and I don't begrudge him his. I just wish he didn't take so many breaks. Me and the on-island property manager Michelle do all the work. The off-island prop mgr has an office all to himself on the mainland.

If he isn't on a cigarette break then he can be found in the IT guys office (Bebop - not his real name), who is also a personal friend of Deb and Harry's OR with Harry and Bebop in Harry's office OR with Deb and her husband Debnot (not his real name either) in her office.

Oh, it's been a wonderful 7 months. Deb and Harry don't see any problems because Idiot blames Michelle for everything that goes wrong. She has learned the art of "cya" so he doesn't get away with it very much anymore. He's an office tattle tale. Idiot has been in that position for 7 months and still doesn't know how to handle a maintenance issue.

It's very frustrating. We're all activily looking for new jobs, except for Idiot and Bebop. Anyone want a job?
