Dang, the negativity in this office today is horrible.

(Zone 7a)

What're they doing?

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

I also got a good deal today. Went on Amazon and got a leather purse for $27 for my mom for X-mas.

Cyber Monday rules!! LOL

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Now that I'm home I can talk about it. These women were saying how awful winter is and this winter is going to be a very hard winter we are all going to have to endure. It's also going to be a terrible flu season and some people might die, and so on. They said this same exact thing last year when it started getting cold and everyone was fine. Shoot, they hounded me like they're all my mother telling a child what to do, about getting the flu shot, which I never got, and everyone ended up with the flu except for me. LOL on that! Now this year they're saying they never got the flu and I better go get a flu shot or I might die!

The sky is falling!!!! The sky is falling!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just want to say, "Then ya'll wonder why I don't associate with you much."

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

LOL. I never get the flu shot either. I haven't caught the flu yet. Those kind of people drive me nuts. They bring my scarcasm out big time. They never know what hits them when it comes out. LOL

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

LOL I've tried sarcasm, they just get all defensive and I don't want to hear it, I really don't care LOL I'm mean, I know.

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

LOL

Ok, I think we have new neighbors in that garbage trailer across the street and they have a dog that won't shut up. It's been barking for 3 hours now and this is a very quiet neighborhood. I hope I'm wrong, but if not this may not bode well for them.

(Zone 7a)

Crissy, we have the same problem. Two yappies across rhe street. It doesn't matter if they've seen you 1000 times, they'll bark until whoever it is, is gone. Next door is Echo. Echo barks whenever master is gone. Gone, as in, left for the night or the weekend. Bark, bark, bark, bark...all night, all day. We finally got so we'd take him biscuits and tell him to go lay down. That shuts him up for a long while. On eh other side of Echo, is a bull terrier. Those people are new to the neighborhood. That dog barks whenever HIS master is gone. Usually all day Thursday.

All people like that should be put into a neighborhood all to themselves. Then they could listen to all THEIR neighbors dogs bark all the time and bother no one else! LOL There!!! Problem solved. ☺

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Exactly. Well, Dave confirmed we do have new neighbors in the garbage trailer. That thing has to stink. They came back last night with another load of stuff and the dog barked and barked the whole time they were unloading, then when the pickup left the dog quit barking and all was quiet all night long! My next door neighbors dogs (3 of them) never bark, the neighbors next to them, their dog never barks, the guy across and down the street, I didn't even know he had a dog until the other day LOL! So if this dog is going to bark I'm afraid the neighborhood will retaliate, and these might be nice people, you never know! I'll let Dave and Dave deal with it, I know if it's going to bark all day my Dave won't be happy, he sleeps all day.

Oh give me strenght to make it through the day, she's driving me nuts already and I just got here. Eye yey yey.

(Zone 7a)

Oh, Crissy! I feel Dave's pain! LOL (if the barking goes on) I used to work nights and the noise can make you do/say things you didn't think were possible. Lack of sleep is an ugly thing.

Rain today. Both cats went out and refuse to come back in. Huh...oh, well.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Just as long as they don't come back wet! Probably hiding somewhere to stay dry until the rain stops, that's what Tiga does. Actually she's wisened up to it, she'll stick her nose out, if she feels rain or wind she'll turn around and go back in the house.

(Zone 7a)

I can see them, they just won't come in. I should have said SUPPOSED to rain. I haven't seen any yet. Monty is usually a I wanna go out, I wanna come in, I wanna go out again kiity, but today it's I'm going out and I'm STAYING out. Isis is usually I wanna got out FOR 2 SECONDS and now I want iiiiiiiiiiinnn!!! LOL They've been out there and hour now.

Well, we had internet problems here at work so I had to take a break LOL!

Tiga's like Monty, in out in out good grief. Whoever said that humans were designed to be a cat's door opener they weren't wrong! That's funny, cats are hilarious!

(Zone 7a)

They ARE hilarious except when they're sleeping.

Shhhh...don't wake the baby...

What a pretty kitty Whiskers is!

I'll have to take some action shots of Isis fielding wads of paper. She plays like a pro!

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

Here's Curly. Whiskers trys to kick him out of his bed sometimes but if we catch him we smack him. Curly also likes my parents bed and if we aren't looking will run in there really fast and jump on the bed, close his eyes and pretend he's asleep. But he's breathing really hard so we always know he's awake. LOL

Tiga groans when she's trying to sleep and we're making too much noise, I mean big, long groans. If she's awake and we're talking loudly she'll start meowing real loud until we quiet down. She also snores and puts her paw over her eyes if it's too bright.

Too cute you guys!

ggrrrrr I can't get this to post, I think Jupiter is messing with my satellite!

Funny, Crissy! Monty and Isis snore.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

LOL I love your tiger collection! I see Tigger and Tony, and who are the others?

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

The dark one is from The Lion King, and the bright yellow one with the skinny head I think is from the Dr. Seuss series but it could be something else. I reconize it though.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Is the Lion King Scar??

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

I think so. Been awhile since I've seen it so have kinda forgotten names.

(Zone 7a)

Nothing there from the Lion King. Most of them are Beanies. The one in the far corner (tall skinny) from Dr. Suess. I have one Lion but it's from Between The Lions. Funny what we collect. I have a bunch of dragons as well.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Dave has a big Tigger collection somewhere, probably up in the attic LOL! I personally like elephants so I have some elephant figurines, but I want an elephant room.

(Zone 7a)

I have one elephant. It has a baby elephant inside it.

LOL Romper Room!

(Zone 7a)

Romper stomper bomper BOOOOOOO!!!

Amelia Island, FL(Zone 9a)

LOL! I swear I will never ever ever work at another property mangement company after I find another job.

Part 1

You all know that I work for a property management company. 1 of the PM's is a woman that I worked with at a different company. That was the only job I ever walked out on...the owner's wife is diabolical. I don't use that term lightly. It's been 3.5 years and she still won't stop. I threatened her on Monday with a restraining order. That's how crazy she is.

So anyway Michelle started working at this job and she got me hired to do - well it's a beginner position. The only place to go is up the food chain. I knew the bookkeeper and the 2nd PM and we were all friends just from living on the island.

So after 6 months the bookkeeper turned in her notice. There were things that she hadn't taken care of or cleared up from her 4 years there. She just never did and admitted it to me. So basically she left me a pile of crap to work through. She told the owners that since I had done this job at the previous company it would be a snap for me to take over.

The biggest thing I had to clear up was the rental program balances not mathcing the actual bank account balances - they were $25,000 and change off.

After she left I went to the owner and told her about these accounts not balancing. I didn't want to be held accountable if we ever got audited. That's the only reason I told the owner. Well, she asked me where the money went. I told her I didn't know for sure but was pretty certain that it was money that hadn't been shifted between accounts for the last 5 years (that mistake is really easy to do - I've done it since).

So the owner of the company called the previous bookkeeper and told her that I said I thought she stole the money. Said previous bookkepper called me and told me that was what my boss told her. I was shocked to say the least. I never said that and never implied it. She is one of the most honest people I know - I never thought that - and it broke my heart, because she flat out believed the owner. So I lost a friend and we haven't spoken since.

I have to go back to work :)

(Zone 7a)

OMG!!! What people will say to other people because they think they can get away with it! He prolly never thought she had your number or you hers.

Amelia Island, FL(Zone 9a)

The Owner knows we were friends before. The other PM is married to a very good friend of mine who owns my favorite store here and previous bookkeeper works part time at the store.

We're a close knit community to say the least.
