It's usually that way here, too, Sharran. When I lived in Arizona for 4 years, near Phoenix, it was the same all summer, over 100 with now relief and big thunderstorms that brought in the humidity once or twice a week from June to Sept. I loved Arizona, though, cause the winters really made up for the summers.

Show us your lights
I visited in your area about a year ago, and was there a couple of weeks in the fall. Your weather does remind me of here, but we don't usually get very much snow at all. Beautiful country up there.
Your tree is beautiful Sharron.
I have those pear ornaments too.
Beautiful Tree !!! Like DN said...never to late!
Hi Pixie, JoAnn.....
Happy New Year all.
The tree is well decorated in the middle. The thing is 10 feet tall and I am barely 5'1", so that's my excuse for the top. The cats are my excuse for the bottom. And yes, I do love the pear shaped ornaments, and you must like them too, Jo Ann. Thanks about the tree, it's already down now, and almost put away.
Y'all be careful out there tonight, but have a good New Year's Eve.
Very nice, Sharon!
A little late for Christmas, but Happy New Year, Victor. Thanks.
Put your tree away already, Sharran? We still have ours up, and it may stay up for another week or so. We like to enjoy that Christmas feeling long after Christmas is over.
Karen
Took mine down today - so we could let the kitties free again! They were in the basement while it was up. We took down anything they would go after, but the rest of the decorations are still up.
Ours came down the day after Christmas! lol
My DH couldn't stand it another second. It was very dry and drooping badly. We have a wood stove going all the time so our trees never last very long. We put it up a little early, I can't remember exactly when but I think 1 week or so after Thanksgiving. I still have my lights on the house though. I'll keep them on tonight but tomorrow they''l be off for the year. Now hopefully we get a nice Jan. thaw so I can take them down before Easter like the last time we put them up. : )
Nice tree Sharon.
We keep ours up thru Jan 7th
Thanks, Flowerjen....
I might have left decorations up if I had not had them out since Thanksgiving, and also I have no more company scheduled for awhile. Happy New Year!
last night Randy and I took a ride to rockaway, nj.... this house IS AMAZING... the guy had to add a few generators because the power company couldn't supply him with enough juice
there are some pictures at the end of some homes on the same block... and a few from mountain lakes
just a shame because these photos don't do it any justice

Hubby took the kids(while I wrapped gifts) to a local house that is probably 10X brighter than that guys but on smaller property!!! but Eric said there was no rhyme or reason to it so it was real tacky-kids enjoyed it though, sorry he didn't take any pics,
I kind of wish I had my cheap camera ... i could have taken a video of it... so much cooler with the chasing lights
Still looked good.
We never did get our lights up this year
Wow - that is something! Hate to see his bill.
they have a collection bucket outside... I threw in $5.00... i know what my bill is.. can't imagine that
Oh my goodness - that's a lot of lights! I saw a house in Billerica that was pretty close to that, minus all the lights in the trees and all. : ) Yes I agree I would not want that electricity bill. A friend of mine had no power for 10 days from the ice storm and he said it was costing about $30 a day to run the generator. So add that to the bill :-|
they said in the paper he had 3... OMG
Wow!
our lights are OUT
Funny how after a month they get wareing. The timer was miss set and they came on at 5:00PM and didnt go off until 1:45 AM
Jeeesh
