I have not. Just made an entry in the Great Book of Lists. Thanks so cousin nut.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Here's a few pics of a squirrel trying to get into my squirrel proof feeder. He never did get anything out, but did manage to knock some seeds onto the ground.

HA! Take that you smarmy varmit! Very nicely done cousin. (ps I have really hard feelings about squirrels after they dug up and ate my whole garden the first year and chuckled evily as they did it :()

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Don't let them fool you. They just pretend to be cute forest creatures. It's a ruse.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Shannara Twain? I like the way she sings.^_^

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

That's Ms Twain to us mere mortals. She's my hero Victor. Great attitude. Note to Dancers: Dancing attire must include beat up ole cowboy boots when dancing to Ms. Twain. Ca-boy hat is optional.

Beautificly Awesome Pixie! We have no indoor tree this year :( The deep freeze froze up the back of the truck and since we donated our Christmas dinner to charity it seemed silly to stand out there in 30 below to defrost the truck to get a tree. Thanks for sharing. I do miss the wonderful smell though . o well there will be dancing ^_^

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Beautiful tree, Celeste! Merry Christmas to you and all my other DG friends here!

Yes, the squirrels are cute but evil. Same can be said about the deer, who ate thousands of buds of hundreds of my precious daylilies at the end of July this past summer, all in one night, I might add!

Karen

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Hi Karen I have the same type squirril proof feeder.
The only drawback is the hopper is too small and hard to fill.
I dont mind a few seeds on the ground, we have mourning doves and Juncoes and crows that are ground feeders. They keep things cleaned up.
Other feeders I have had were emptied out in a day by the tree rats.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Ah, yes, the tree rats. They are very good at emptying bird feeders.

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

I nominate your honey for honey of the year. OUTSTANDING present onewish!!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I will agree it's an outstanding present.... and would say he made up for forgetting my birthday

:)

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I have had two of that style.
Its a riot seeing the squirrls flipped off the ring.
Also watv for squirrls that have been tossed once and see how many different ways they try to get at the food.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

He, hee! Squirrels are very persistent. They don't give up easily when food is involved.

Karen

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

The video for that is hilarious.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I've seen that. Very cool. You'll get some great photos, Allison!

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Woa! Allison, I just checked out the price on that Yankee Flipper. You really did get a great gift. Would love to get that, but I doubt I would spend that much on a bird feeder, especially when My cheap one works just as well (not as entertaining, though).

If I got a much better income I would spend the money. Human services people don't make much. I wish it weren't so, as we provide much needed services, we work hard, and we get little recognition. I love what I do and it's the only reason I don't try and find something for better pay.

Karen

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

yeah it's expensive.... but he saw I was watching for the price to come down... and knew I wouldn't have bought it for myself ... when I first saw it in the store they had a video running behind the counter... I must have watched it seven times cracking up the whole time... and he had to pull me away

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

LOL! That is a very funny video. Have you ever listened to the Talkin' Birds radio show? I don't know if its nationwide, but they have it on a local station here, and I catch it now and then. They always have a call in contest to identify a bird with a few clues, and they always give a Droll Yankees product as a prize. I don't know if they've ever given away the Yankee Flipper.

Karen

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

if it's not just a local thing... might be able to find it on the internet

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Okay, I found a website for it. It seems it's here on the south shore of MA and in Rhode Island. You can hear it streaming live on 959watd.com. I have a good friend who is an intern dj there, and fills in now and then for the prime time dj's in the evening. His name is David Wolfson.

Karen

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

thanks Karen!

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

LOL! Allison, I think that squirrel is actually quite clever. He knew exactly what he was doing. Did you see all the seeds falling out of the feeder every time he spun it around? Oh, yeah, he knew what he was doing all right!

Karen

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

oh yes he did... there is another showing the squirrel able to eat hovering above the spinning bar... oh well.. it will be fun anyway

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Are we ready for dancing today? ^_^ I am going to hang up my bird seed donut which will give you all time to get ready. We will begin with the Reservoir/River/Pond dance because we all know that one. Go ahead, get your dancing booties on. I will wait for you to get ready ^_^

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Ready, here. You can start without me, though. I'll catch up when I check back in.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Okay, let's get this show on the road! Dance away!!!!

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

I missed out on all your lights till today, but I have had a great time looking at them tonight. It sure looked like Christmas up your way, and even for Louise, I loved the palm tree. I hope your Christmas was as good as your decorations looked.

Dahlia, I am all ready for the celebration, it has been 70 degrees here this week, and I have been dying to play in the yard. I have the red pj's too, or maybe teal.....

You all have a great Happy New Year. Be safe and enjoy.....

A little late, but here's a tree for you.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Nice, Sharran! I'm jealous of your nice weather

Karen

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

Well, Karen...there is one thing about KY weather, it's never the same from one day to the next.
