Best/Worse &What did I learnt today/Chat with Friends Pt72

If you look closely on the couch, and yep right next to Mrs. Snowlady you'll see Riley again..swear she's in love with the Snowlady...

Disaster city, don't know why I wanted the place so clean, 5 minutes into everyone arriving and clean no more..

So cute...this is Lydia..she's a medine lady..my god she makes medicines for all illnesses...so educated in natural health medicines...anyway, she always shakes her head at my house plants..think I showed you a few last year..deader than a doornail..so each week when they are here she does the rounds and nurtures and waters my plants...

Luncheon fit for a king/queen..even Kyle come home at lunch and enjoyed their company..when I wasn't working Kyle spent a lot of time here at lunch hours....all couldn't believe how much he'd grown..of course he loves everyone dotting on him as well..

Gift time...I got so many lovely gifts..you'd have thought it was Christmas..each and everyone gave gifts to each other...

Getting cold in here, made me turn the heat almost off..now it's chilly...best put the heat up..or maybe it's because I'm tired...

I got a gift from the painters...it was a gift certificate for Garden Gallery for $50.00..thought I might need something Christmas in my house..lol..

So what did June do, bought a ball, sliced open the bottom and inserted the gift certificate...what a time to get it out...

Got a glass jar of candies, a gift certificate for you guessed it a perm from my hairdressers lol, a lovely stained glass butterfly from George, an Angel from Darlene so fun was had by all....

June didn't want to play santa so she painted this picture...

Missy, she enjoyed her day as well...couldn't lay JUST on the table, had to be on the nice velvet..

More painting going on...Liz and Darlene working on a project while Betty did Darlene's santa..which never got totally done..so tomorrow morning I'll finish it before Darlene gets here to do Christmas cards for the day!

Won't bore you with ALL my photo's..I'll just show you a couple more...

George did Grace (wife) a santa and one for his sister...he really enjoyed this project..

Wait till I tell you..this lady is called Helen..however, she moans all the time, 'I can't do that! It's too hard! I don't know how! etc.etc. so we all call her "MOANA" for moaning..lol - she laughs, no hard feelings...

So a day of laughing and I'm tired out...

Could be the up at 4am, cleaning until 5:00am, off to Walmart by 5:30 a.m. fun all day..now at 4:45 when my shift is over I'm off to Midland..have a few erands to run..who knows, might drop into the Gallery and spend my gift certificate...nope, will wait till I go to the big one in Barrie...am sure there is something I want there....

I have to thank the Lord each and every day for the blessing that he has given me, these wonderful friends..I truly am blessed...

They change her around for all kinds of occasions.......this is the one that had all summer as the street was torn down to dirt, all new sewer, electrics and water lines going in, they are supposed to be opened back for traffic by the end of the month.........so they have had her dressed as a flagger................

Off the wall..lol..just got back from town..slushy/slushy, light snow falling..can't believe I almost had all the stores to myself..where are the people..think the economy is frightening everyone or they are finished much like me OR they haven't started..NOT like me...grinning here...

Got Jeff a few more gifts..now hard when he provided a list..BUT I asked as I never know what to give him..he listed 5 things and said pick one, I picked all 5..because he's my baby..now this weekend I have to shop for 4 birthday gifts...

Did my fabricland thing, managed to get the fastners, the black for boots for santa outfit and all the santa fur trim..$68.00 later..maybe I could have bought a suit cheaper...that doesn't count the material already bough..oh well...I'm sure they'll apprecate it..they both do so much for me, nice to do something they want as a gift as a thank you...

Also got my hair cut..only me and another person in there, usually line ups as well..must have hit it right..either that or it's Monday night and everyone is tired from the weekend..who knows..so anybody want to guess how much longer I'll be up...don't pick anything more than in the hour...I'm a gonner...

Ruby Sailor did well today, she did come downstairs and stayed all day with the girls..but she's a smart one, goes and begs to each of them and they EACH give her a treat/cookie...no wonder she puts on weight...I've got her upstairs again, bringing her food and water (almost like in jail) and maybe a few days of little to no excersize and she'll be much better.....

Judy/Liz, I can only say THANK THE LORD you 2 don't live close to each other!

Girls for those of you who just started on the thread, I travelled to Chicago and Liz from California also came to Chicago and we spent time at Judy's...OMG what a job keeping those 2 in line..honest...

Love the flower lady, she is so pretty! I'm sure she was a very good flagger too!

So far the retailers have reported a better than they thought start to the Christmas shopping season, which is really good. I've done all my shopping from the computer, except for the 2 hours me and Dave went out on Friday, but it still wasn't bad. I love it when the stores are empty, makes shopping so much more pleasant!

So I'm hemming the last side to Santa's hood Hallelujah!

I have three antiques that my mom already gave me (after I said that I better get them someday), a sewing machine (that’s going back to mom in exchange for her trundle sp? Sewing machine), a table that belonged to my great grandmother and an old bread box.

Sage has a porcelain doll from her great grandma on her mother’s side that she seems to be fairly into.

The only problem I have with getting now is I don't trust them not to get messed up, so I don't use them. I think I have some more antiques, but I can't think of what right now.

OK, I have to ask. Has anyone out there read the Twilight books or seen the movie? I am 4 chapters into book #2 and I forsee the need for a 12 step program when I'm done with all 4. I took DD to see the movie yesterday (her 3rd time, my 1st) and I must say....YOWZERS! Now I can't get the stupid guy out of my looney head!

Is anyone out there crazy like me.......?

Betty, just wanted to let you know a parade of Santa Faces arrived today.....now I can get back to work!!Oh My!!!!

The Flower Lady belongs to a Florist Shop on the corner.....they come up with so many cute ideas.....I thought I would take a photo each time they change and keep them in a Picasa Album.......later on in the year everyone can take a look at the slide show of all her different "Outfits"

I haven't gotten to read the books or see the movie yet, but I want to!!!!!

Gosh guys this global warming is ridiculous because it was like 89 today or something. Our plants are not even dormant except the elms and our trees all have leaves on them and roses blooming. It is so odd. Usually here the day that all leaves are gone is Thanksgiving.

Laura, love the dough box..can you explain how it was used??? not familiar with that piece...sure wish I would have kept my grandmothers treddle machine...

Jeannine not sure about those books either..did read a trilogy a few years back but long time waiting in between and had to go back and re-read the prior ones..

Trisha were they all in one piece..I'm truly amazed..except for 1 kit then went amiss..another on it's way..not 1 face was broken..must be all the extra glue I put in the batch I poured..

I'm soooo glad to see all those faces behind me, and santa's as well..just my workshops..60 then all those I shipped..YUK..

Dawn I truly wanted to go and see Australia but hate going to the movies alone and most of my friends either go with hubby's or during matinee's..doesn't take very long before it comes out on dvd so guess I'll pick it up and watch it in the comfort of my own house..know what you mean about eating out..seems as though it saves us a lot of work but that's Thanksgiving and not cooking just isn't right..so next year I'll be doing the cooking...

do you know how many little pieces there are in a pattern packet? I bought s/m/l and cut out all the paper pieces then Suzanne said nope, Lenny's put on weight since he quit smoking AND he's now an extra large..so had to purchase another pattern package and cut out all the paper pieces once again..thought if I got that done and if Darlene doesn't come to do cards tomorrow I'd sew all day and get santa finished...

This time I truly am going to bed!!!
