Neat site BJ. Humm gives me some ideas. Thanks a lots for posting.
Joyce I can relate to the meds not doing well. I had trouble with Celebrix and a daily routine of aspirin (1) so far works. Do have flair ups but also I find stay active is the best thing that can be done. Some days it is mind over matter. Ah the joy of being older and wiser!!!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Cindy, good ideas there. It does upset when I can't use my hands for some of my crafts. Humm have to try that!! A friend uses the parafin bath and it has allowed her to continue hand quilting so I guess they are well worth it.

Woo Hoo... I just learned that I CAN HAVE those Crab Stuffed Deviled Eggs !!! If I leave the pepper and pepper sauce and shallots out of mine ... I can eat all I want !!!!... too cool.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Thanks Cindy. Definitely going to check it out.

Good for you BJ!!!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

I got the parafin bath for my mom when she had surgery to remove arthritis from her thumbs. She never used it so I took it back. You can get them at Wal-Mart for about $40. The wax smells nice and your hands feel really soft. I usually use it right after I've worked outside.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Okay add that to my look for list. Love the email. sent to daughter as wish list for Chistmas! LOL

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

I have been looking for a pattern to make sweatshirts. My mom loves 'em but she want the kind with collars. HOLY COW!! They are expensive $25 and up..........

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

I just got birthday pressies from all over! Thisha sent me lots of her hand made cards, along with parts for 2 more Santas I wanted to make! Beautiful cards!
Faye sent me a Ruby Egg candy dish on a pedestal. Heavy! I love it!
Maxine sent me more hand made cards! I really like the cards!
Thanks, girls! You made my day!

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

I would start cooking those eggs BJ.........also, what time do you usually get your mail???

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

If you go to sally's hair supply, you can get the scented wax for those machines. Some are very nice smelling!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Stacey, are you home yet? Have you checked your mail???

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Well, Trisha... my mail usually comes in the early afternoon... but sometimes I forget to go out to the box until late.. thanks for reminding me.
And I got a wonderful surprise from you for my birthday...
I got a bunch (repeat, BUNCH) of your famous hand made cards !!!!
I LOVE THEM ALL... and I'm still looking through them all... OH GOODNESS... Thank you, dear sistah... they're all just beautiful.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

A little late but a lot of love enclosed. Hope you can get some use out of them.....the pin cushion is one of our beginner projects....I am just learning to knit, enjoy it but it is strictly simple projects right now........

I'm still floating on cloud 9 today. Don't nobody bring me down!!
Just knowing Donna and her family will celebrate a wonderful Thanksgiving without any fear of losing their home, that's cause for a big "Amen".
Not to forget, Aunt Lisa's now in her own private room, another "Amen".
Sistah Joyce, though you may have the unwanted Arthur crimping your lifestyle, still, it's an "Amen"
And oh yeah, if BJ can really have some crab deviled eggs, boy oh boy, that will be "Joy To the World"!!!!

We can take some more "Amens"!!

Audrey, don't try to do the happy dance..don't want your back to give out on you.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

AMEN, SISTAH !!!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

BTW... Jaye... Don said he doesn't like Charlotte... he can't wait to get home.
LOLOL

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Lolol BJ!!!! We feel the same way.

Fostoria, OH(Zone 5a)

I was so happy to hear about the work on your mortgage, Donna. That is what perseverance will do for you. You jumped on it early, had a plan, and keep pushing...all of those things make you a winner! Keep going and things will definitly look up for you and your family.
BJ, don't overdo it with the cleaning and cooking routine. But know how it feels to just feel good after feeling really BAD. Keep up with the food diary so you know what to eat and not eat and when. It will come in handy, trust me.
Debra, no need to apologize for wanting to keep Woody. We (and you) know you will do what is best for him because you do care so much. Sometimes being a grownup isn't much fun!

Fostoria, OH(Zone 5a)

Now that I have given my "chin up " speech to everyone else, I'm going to need one myself.
The sewing machine that was in the shop a month ago is having problems, AGAIN! They say they will look at it right away and I will have it back for the weekend, so at least I can sew then. Was in the middle of a quilt and wanted to just keep sewing right through dinner, but instead had to get heavy coat on, go out in the wet snow and deliver the bad boy to the repair shop.
Then...In August I bought a new refrigerator. Measured everything to see that it fit in between the cabinets and the wall. Did fine until I found out that the molding on the door frame was curved so that I can't get my fingers between the wall and the frige to turn on the kitchen light. Since that is the wall shared with the dining room, I can just flip the socket there but since the walls are plaster and I am not comfortable with electric I have to have it done. My son said he would do but is 2 1/2 hrs away and been putting it off. Now that it is so dark even during the day (we had snow today) I can't see to cook or read recipes! Had it today and called an electrician. Now what do you think THAt is going to cost me!!
Why do these things happen just before Christmas?

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Murphey's law!
Jaye, I can do the happy dance sitting down!!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Awww... Janice... our kitchen light switch is behind the fridge too... and have to keep the fridge pulled out just a bit to get to the switch... actually, we have two switches to the kitchen light, but we're both too lazy to walk across the room... so, we keep the fridge pulled out just enough.
That electrician is gonna cost you a bunch...
Sewing machines... ugh... I just hate it when they don't work right. Maybe they'll get it fixed right, and you won't need to put in the shop again for a long while.

Don just called... (this is funny)... the owner of the company (himself) called to tell him he's needed in Atlanta tomorrow, not to return home until late Thurs night. He was suppose to come home tomorrow. I only packed him for 2 days... LOL... Don's either gonna have to find a laundry mat, or go buy new clothes.
I'm taking bets on which he does.. !!!

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Yes, UGH to sewing machines as I am sitting here fighting with mum's machine....it is not doing what it is supposed to do.....or with my fantastic abilities I am not doing something correctly.....gets very frustrating at time!!!!! And I only have two more seams to have the machine part of Santa 4 out of the way:(

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Too funny Audrey! Murphy's law.... Poor poor Janice. That certainly put a kink in your quilting rhythm. Well as to the switch behind the fridge, to reroute the switch would cost you a fortune. Did you try using something real slim and sturdy, that can go through the space?

I'm sure he'd buy a whole new outfit, BJ!

Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

Joyce glad that your results came in okay. Art inflicts my mom badley and I know it can really put you in pain so do take care..

Jaye you have an AMEN shouting from Jacksonville too..

Trisha your cards are beautiful... I really love the tan one with the butterflies..

Im still doing the happy dance and really just cant stop smiling.. Max is getting the tree down when he comes home in the morning ( I didnt want iot down until now ) and my job is to get the corner cleaned out so the tree can go up.. So thats my project for the evening since there are boxes of clothing I planned on having a yard sale with. Found a family who could use the girls clothes so I think Im going to donate those to them in the spirit of paying it forward and the others to the hubbard house.. It s not much but its all I can do..

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Trisha, oil it really good, and try sewing on a scrap for a few minutes. If that doesn't work, check the bobbin, could be thread under it, or just not threaded right. Rethread the whole thing, Make sure the thread pulls through easily when the foot isn't down.
Good luck! I hate it when mine messes up. I've had it since the eighties and it's only been in the shop once! It's a Kenmore.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Thanks Audrey, re-threaded and took out the bobbin and replaced it and that seemed to help..

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Sometimes my bobbin wont wind tight enough, don't know why, and this will mess it up every time! Have to take off the thread!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Good evening ladies. Just wanted to let you all know that I have to go to the foot doc for a follow up tomorrow, so I won't be on till late.
