Yee Haw !!! Happy dances going on all over Texas for ya, Donna. Soooo glad things are working out for you... Things will start to get better now, for sure.
I can see Kathy now... shotgun on sholder, depends securely on... pacing back and forth between the window to the chicken pen and the incubator where the turkey eggs are. She's definitely on guard duty.
Our very own Commander Kathy.

I can do the happy hop, on one foot, is that OK? LOL
Hope those furry baies are doing OK.
LK
Does anyone have a recipe for deviled eggs? I don't like egg's, but hubby does, and he wants some for Thanksgiving.
LK
No Jaye, that isn't going overboard. They are your children just as if you had given birth to them!! Take good care of them.
Linda Kay careful, we don't want to have to take you to the ER!!! BJ, such descriptive picture you painted of Sistah Kathy! ROBLOL
LK, i use hellmans mayo, garlic powder, mustard and horseradish in mine
Here's another one LK...
DEVILED EGGS
12 eggs, hard-boiled
1 cup Miracle Whip Salad Dressing
1 teaspoon prepared mustard, optional
1/4 cup sweet pickle relish
1 teaspoon salt
Cut eggs in half and remove the yolks. Mash with a fork then add the rest of the ingredients. Mix should be slightly moist. Spoon about 1-2 tablespoons of the filling into the egg whites or use a pastry bag to pipe the filling into the whites. Sprinkle with paprika, if desired. Cover and chill for at least one hour.
Or add chopped pimentos or jalapenos..
Just sit in your chair and move that good leg around..that's dancing too LK!
You all are making me hungry now for deviled eggs. Shame on you!!!
yumm-I think I will make some too-I LOVE them!!!! Mine aren't as fancy as Kathy's though:)
DONNA_THAT IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
going back to my rocker on the porch with my gun. will holler at ya later, and maybe have some pictures
Oops Sis.. you forgot your Depends... and bring an extra quilt with ya.
WONDERFUL NEWS DONNA!!!
doing a happy dance too.
What are you trying to tell us Sis? Lol!! Rooster chasing the chicken...
Janice, I forgot to tell you, that you're a Sweet Tater yourself!
Why do you have to bring up Devil Eggs, LK? Now like Marion I want some too. I've been making them sometimes plain, with your mayo and mustard, and sometimes with chives or peppers. Now you all know I'll be looking for something unusual now..
Found this.. may try it.. but first I have to buy 2 dozen eggs. Kel can eat a dozen all by himself!
Crab Stuffed Deviled Eggs
8 large hard-boiled eggs, peeled
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 1/2 tablespoons chopped fresh tarragon
1 tablespoon minced shallot
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
8 ounces crabmeat
MIL has arrived will get back on later gotta run.....
HOOORAAAAYYY For Answered Prayers!!!!! Donna I know you are so happy and we are all happy for you (((((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))))))))))!!!!!!!!
ew-something from the sea!!
How about some pieces of ham, instead of crab meat niece?
You're missing some fine eating from the sea :D
Gee thanks Jaye, Now I am going to have to try that recipe!!! Let's remember not to have Kel and my youngest GD together with deviled eggs. LOL We would never make enough to fill them.
Tinky, we are just going have to teach you about good food. My daughter too!!
Lol!!! You don't want Kel around after he had some eggs!!
Once I was served deviled eggs with caviar as garnish.. let's say, it didn't go too well on my stomach..
I was thinking that-deviled eggs tend to make the next day stinky!!!LOL
Yep.
Kel has the audacity, after he lets one out, he usually asks me what it smells like!!
Kathy, that's the cutest clock I ever saw! I listened to the sound, too! Good one!!
When hubby eats boiled eggs, he spends most of the next day outside! Or I get out the can of lysol!!!
Thanks for the recipes.
LK
Him too, LK???
Lololol... you read that BJ. So, if you want a happy May gathering, don't serve eggs!!!
I'm off to do some busy work.. I'm off to do some... he he he.. since when do I stay busy!!
I have a entirely new way I think about deviled eggs now!! LOL thank you all!!
^_^
OMG... I LOVE DEVILED EGGS... you put crab meat in them, and it would almost be worth the pain to eat just one !!!!
BUT, I won't... promise... but, I might have to make those Crab Stuffed ones for Don... he'd really love them... then, I'll find him some busy work outside somewhere... LOL
Just a pop in....hurray for Donna, and prayers and thoughts for those others who need them!
My CT scan came back. It is arthritis with some inflamation. Nothing to worry about..
Whew....thanks for the prayers Sistahs!
Most interesting deviled egg I ever had was made with horseradish, mayo and olives. It was different, but yummy!
Gotta run....raining and icky today, but the mailman still delivered the mail and my job is to go get it!!
That's a big relief Joyce!! We can take in more good news today.. for sure.. there were lots of praying going around here.
So, the docs must have prescribed some anti-inflamatory meds? Take care Joyce.
BJ, a good crabmeat casserole recipe for New Year's Day.. won't that be yummy!
Nothing prescribed yet. Guess I haven't whined enough!
Get on the phone....unless Motrin or Advil works for you.
Don't know if that's good news or not, Joyce... arthritis can be awfully painful...
Called about the results from my Cat Scan too... but they don't have them yet... seems the hospital only has ONE doctor that reads and reports those, and so far hasn't got to MINE yet. The nurse will call them tomorrow if they don't have by afternoon.
Deviled eggs....yummmy!
Did someone say Crab Casserole??????? Maybe my brother will send us Crab for Christmas if I hint loud enough!!!!
Well they need to tell that Doc to get on his stick horse and get his business taken care of!!!!
Joyce, old Art is a bad bedfellow! He's been with me for years! Can't get him to leave, even brought in another man, Ben, but that didn't faze him! That's a big reason why I can't do much walking. I have him ahold of my back along with the ruptured discs!
Good luck to you, there IS some help for him!
I have art in my hands so I know the pain of it. Mostly I control it with Advil. I tried to take meds for it years ago and it made me so sick to my stomach I've been avoiding it like the plague, but they tell me the meds are better now and don't make you so queazy.
They really do help the hands, too. I take double the reccommended dose of Celebrex. Just DON'T take it on an empty stomach, and don't take aspirin products with it!
Hope you can get some relief!
It doesn't hurt unless I push something with my right hand and arm or cross my body with my right arm. So I just won't do that!!
Joyce... isn't there a joke that goes something like that... something like the guy says "doc, it hurts when I do this"... the doc says "don't do that". LOL
Here's a very interesting site to visit sometimes... been looking for nutrition facts for some fresh veggies and fruits that don't come with a label on them... If you go here, fill in the little box "Daily Needs Calculator" and see what it says about what you should be eating.
http://www.nutritiondata.com/
You can also look up any and every food there to see what it's nutrition facts are.
LOL, Joyce! But the awful truth is, if you don't use it, it will freeze up and you wont be ABLE to use it! I know how much it hurts, too! For years, I couldn't reach across the back of the seat in the car to slap my kids when they were bad!LOL! Really, I couldn't use that shoulder, till I had surgery on it about 6 years ago.
Joyce, I have art in my hands too, especially the thumb. I have a parafin bath that I use when the pain gets REAL bad. I use apercreme. I got a small lotion bottle and put in the asperceme then add some drops of Lavender essence oil. I use this like hand lotion. Boy it helps. Plus I wear arthritis gloves I have 4 different kind. I find the ones with the copper in them work best. You can find them in those catalogs that you get free in the mail.
