Doggies know when something important is afoot and must get in the thick of it. I hope the truck finally arrived and dragged that old car away for you. Yay!!

Whoops, I wasn't looking at the time. You just posted about this. I hope the truck arrives soon. Still... Yay, for all the great clean up work already done. You deserve a nice, long, hot bath to soak those sore muscles.

I just can't keep up tonight.

Welcome back, Tilly!!!! I hope your computer troubles are over.

Thanks Holly, So Happy.
The canopy is gone now.
O'h can't wait to plant, but have to wait a little longer. going to take down the big maple, as it is a little danerous.

I have waited so long for this, this is a car I thought I would never get rid of. Was abandion here 15 years ago, I call the sheriff and they came out and gave me the papers to get rid of it.

Woodland is doing good.

Thanks Holly, puter is still a problem, but hard to ketch up on all the treads. I think I have mastered the Lap Top, still would rather have my big one.

Tills it's good to see you back here! Congratulations for getting rid of the old car - I know you will make that area beautiful.
I love my laptop. I have wireless so I can take it on the front porch, in the backyard, and anywhere in the house. It's great!

(Julie)South Prairie, WA(Zone 7a)

Great to see you back! MMMMmmmm lovely new area! Can't wait to see what you do with it!

Eugene, OR

Hi Tills.....nice job!! Hope you get to watch the tree come down, it really is something to see. Don't like cutting down trees, but sometimes you have to. We had a couple of diseased ones taken down, they say it's going there and there it is!!

Your garden is looking great!! I like the bench in the shade too, looks inviting. I can see the wheels turning as you figure out what to do with the new area.^_^ Like Judi, I have wireless for my laptop too, and I can even take it over to my mom's next door and show her things. I'm completely spoiled with it now.

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Woohoo!! Tills, glad to see you back. Are you all taking the tree down yourself? Be careful! Isn't it funny, how the critters know something is afoot and want to put in their 2 cents. Or maybe they just wanted their picture taken. :) Have fun planting!

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

Hey all, its going to be fun already got in my mind what I want to do. Still a ways off LOL

We are not going to do the tree, going to hire someone to do it. the wrong move will put it on something I don't want to lose. GH, Barn, My Bros trailer. Not good LOL

I want to get wireless but not sure how it works without a cell phone, I have a pay as you go phone its only for emerg. I'm getting used to the laptop, just have to watch my typing as it will go backward on me and have to start over, then I lose train of thought. LOL

How have you all been????

Riped out the lilac and repaced the front, looks so much better.

Looking really good Tils. Big job done is always good.

Eugene, OR

How did you get the lilac out? I've got it coming up from roots and can't get it all. Keeps coming back.

(Judi)Portland, OR

Tills - the phones and the computer wireless are two separate things. If your laptop is fairly new it probably has a wireless card built in. You would also need a wireless router that is connected to a cable. Do you have cable TV?

Sounds like you're doing a lot of work there!

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

Sally, Thats a long funny story. I was not thinking when I planted it years ago, right under the kitchen window it got to big and flowered once. Then I kept pruning it to keep it below the window, never bloomed again. So I told DH to rip it out ( this was the frist time).
He tied a rope around it and yanked it out with the car, Then it turned into a bigger problem. Was coming out all over the place. He ask how do we get rid of it now, I told him we have to rip out the rock wall and dig it out, thats what he did. So far none have poped back up, if so I have Round Up ready. Keeping my fingers crossed. LOL

Judi, I"m not sure if it does, it has card holders. But no card. And we do not have cable out here, no one in the Valley has it we all have seallite (spelling) and my internet is off the phone. I'm taking my big puter to a tech in the morning, I will take the Lap Top too and see if he can help with it.

How to bend like that ^_^

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

Judi thanks for the info about wireless, I got taugthed a bunch today (real dummy here) but without what you said I would have not knowen what to ask. LOL
Took the big one in, found a cool place to take it. Corse I had to carry it a half a block, no parking area but the street and I'm driving a big truck. Not going to try. Ha Ha The guys there are great, lets you watch and makes things sound easy to understand.

Anyway, my big puter will be fixed and up grated, to bigger and better. And only $120. thought I was going to fall down, I thought it would be more. And I took the Lap Top with me. He checked it out said the card is in it and it works. So I ask him how can I make it work as I don't have cable and my internet service comes from a phone modem. I can get a router that plugs into my phone modem and that will work. Buy it at Wally World

Thank you

Great Tills! Wireless is so nice to have - I'm happy for you! I can just imagine you staggering down the street with the big computer. LOL

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

That was funny, mostly when I walk into the shop and these two big guys looking at me like can I help you When I thinking will one of you stop looking and take this ### thing. LOL

(Judi)Portland, OR

Tills you're my hero!

Burwash Weald, United Kingdom(Zone 9b)

HELLLLLOOOOO Tils - you are going to love that area, and love having wireless, we get great distance on our connection going down into the loggia below the barn! So nice. And that area!!!!!! Oh my ohmy are we going to have fun coming up with ideas. How is the soil there? looks compacted, but maybe that is just the surface. I do love a new project.

xoxo, L

Eugene, OR

Lucky you Tills, great price on the upgrade, sounds like you found the right people to take it to. I use a router off our big PC. I'm enjoying being able to take it outside on the deck when the weather is so nice.

That's exactly the problem I'm having with my lilac, it's coming up everywhere. And I can't dig enough to get it all. Guess I'll just have to keep at it.

And it sounds like you're going to get help with your new area. It'll be fun watching what happens.

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

OOOOH Laurie so great to hear from you, So happy ^_^ The soil has been well kept, So to speak, it has had years of leaves piled on it ( say 15 ) Soil looks good lots of worms. The cars kept it well contain. Not sure if the project will be this year ( as the tree, has to come down first) But I have been working my little mind over board. ^_^
Want to see new pics from you, what have you done ???????

Sally and All, I am a very happy camper today, I came home from work and my DH love of my life LOL got a call today that my Puter was ready and he went and picked it up. To surprise me. It is faster and has more power than it did when it was new. Just did a test on it, Love it and I did not lose anything I had on it, But down loaded it all anyway just in case. Now got to reload, and I have my spell check back YaY.
I have figured out why I have so much problems with the Laptop, I have been to use to a real Keyboard and can't get it. Or my Laptop hates me. LOL

Sally just keep at it, I'm not saying this is totally gone
It may pop up, but I'm ready for it LOL

Not to much to share in Pics

Such a pretty one! Forgot to tell you that cat is gorgeous!! Mine does that when she wants me to play with her.

(Judi)Portland, OR

Tills what a beautiful iris! Such lush color. Be sure to show us pics of the 'car bed' as you go along. By the way, the flowering tobacco seeds you gave me are starting to bloom and I would post a photo if my camera was not smashed.
You will get accustomed to the smaller keyboard, or you can get a regular keyboard and plug it into the laptop. But you will love having wireless so much that you'll learn to love the keyboard - it actually requires less movement of your hands. And you can take it outside to the garden!

Burwash Weald, United Kingdom(Zone 9b)

Umm, Portland, your camera got smashed? Is there a story to this?

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

Would like to know this too LOL

(Judi)Portland, OR

I was walking Koka and admiring my favorite big tree and taking a photo of the trunk and Koka spotted a squirrel and took of. The leash was around my wrist while I was taking the photo and jerked my hands hard and down went the camera. :(( We have been talking about the BIG TREE and other trees on the Philosophy 101 thread. I have been thinking about the power and secret lives of big old trees.

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

You are lucky it was just the camera, and not you thank goodness

Eugene, OR

Yes, you are lucky that way. I have a friend with a German Shepard pup who did the same thing and she ended up with a broken leg.

(Judi)Portland, OR

The only time Koka does not obey me is when there is a squirrel in the vicinity. And our neighborhood has lots of squirrels!
