How was everybodys day today please share :)

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

don't tempt me. I may come hide out at your place. Of course if I saw all those beautiful birds of yours I would really want some.

Oh well I have to go out side and play ball with the furry brat, will be back in later.

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

I'm back it is up to 60 out there but it feels colder. One more night and it will start to get warmer.

Hope I get the green house finished before it freezes again.

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

I am back from seeing my new nephew! He is soooo cute. Only 6 lbs. peanut.!!!! My kids were bowling balls! They did not have much wear on their newborn clothing.
Ya really cold here...coacoas done! The girls dont even want to come out to play today. :(

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

Its 19 degree here. But its okay, the sun is shining!

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

I will send my dog up there he would love to play in the cold.

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

I'll come to you with the marshmallows. Its 46 degrees here and cloudy. *bleh*

6lb peanut!!! So cute! Neither of mine were ever that small, except in the belly. ha! Both of mine were over 8lbs. The doctor asked what the heck I'd been feeding my 2nd one at his first check up because he'd almost doubled his birth weight in less than 2 weeks. HA!

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

Maybe the cold would slow him down a bit too, huh? ;-) HA!

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

I don't think it would slow that fur ball down. Only hot weather can.

FUNNY!!!!! It sure slows me down!!!!
Ya, both of mine were over 8, my first 9! She was so cute though!
Send your dog on up Wren107, plenty of room to run and I will even play the ball! Does he like coacoa? Lazy_Ladies is comin with the mellows!

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

HA!

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

I'll bring some liver treats too... he can't have chocolate. Its bad for doggies and will surely just wire him up even more. ;-)

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

Talula may be one of those hens you see that crow! I watched a video of a hen crowing! It was so neat!

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

Ya, thats right, NO CHOCOLATE! forgot that. He can have doggie treats. That would work. Maybe pizza? JK My dog loves pizza crust. I know your not suppose to give them a lot of carbs but he luvs it sooo much.

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

Heaven forbid that any thing wires that crazy demon child up any more than he already is. The breed standard says constitutionally in motion except when under command, only he forget the command part.
Here he is diving for the ball

He looks like an elk hound. Did you say his breed?

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

he is a Belgian Tervuren. He is only 3 and he was "fixed" so he does not have the black overlay yet.

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

My kids seem to forget the "in command" thing too. We have been trying to clean the house for the last 2 hours and they keep losing track of what they are doing. Well, apparently so do I. WHOOPS! ;-)

We're ready for the tea party!

When you are finished cleaning house up there you could come do this one!!!! LOL

Mom and I have been trying to shovel it out but we keep pooping out.

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

He reminds me of Badger..our elk hound we lost last year. They also have the black face. Norweigin Elk Hounds are hunters and will run until they fall over too. High energy. He use to bring me home all kinds of goodies! He would hear , ewwwww! get that out of here! LOL Your dog is beautiful.
I am setting the table. I am afraid I am not quite dressed for the party though!

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

My attention span has been minimal lately. I have been taking rabbit trails everywhere. My husband comes home and I am (and the house is) no better than when he left. LOL I get there eventually!

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

Thats me all the time. I think I lose my mind some where. May be in the same place I have lost 3 pair of eye glasses.

Terv's are listed as a herding breed but they will do everything and anything. The father of my first terv was a breed champion, had a certifcation of herding instinct, had his CD ober title and was a certificated drug detection dog.

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

Sorry to say it, but it seems as if I'm never done cleaning. These two kids can tear the house apart in 30 seconds flat.

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

WOW! Mine just chased mice, moles, and was an accomplished catcher of rabbits. He was a trouble maker at heart. He would go visit the neighbors and steel things! He came home with a brand new 3 pack of car belts and a new oil funnel. Ya know the faces that are on trees? The eyes, nose and mouth people put on? He stole those piece by piece! I always was baking appology snacks! He was just funny! Champion of silly!
Do you show your dog? I would never have dared...he would have surely done something to emabarass me in front of a huge crowd. He was just fun.

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

I know the feeling Lazy_Ladies! I have two of my own and they are very good at it. It seems they follow you and dirty everything you just did. I am making them do chores now so it is not all on my anymore. I think it gives them an idea of what its like to constantly clean and maybe it will deter them from further meesmaking habits! Yaaaright! I am an optomist!

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

Its kinda sad. Its 3:00 and the sun is going down already!!!! :( Its just not fare. stomp stomp!

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

I showed my first one myself. We get 11 points and one major, only needed 4 points and a second major but she had problems and we had to quit. My second had a slight fault that keep him from bing show quality, but I told the breeder she could not buy him back, he was a super great dog.
Andre is show quality except the breeder felt that he had a little two much white on his chest. I could have show him but my dad had a massive stroke and I did not have the time to show. i wish I could show, terv's are mostly shown by there "owners" they do better with people they love.

Andre is the king of mischief!!!!! Now in the obed. ring terv;s can be the class clown. they love to have fun. I think to them life is a game or a big joke.

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

I wish they would do away with this so called "daylight savings"

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

It probably is to them. All about fun! I want to be one too! Thats too bad you couldnt she him. How is your dad now? My father had a massive Heart attack when I was 7 mnths pregant. I am thankful he is still here with me. I lost mom when I was 13 so I would like him to be here a long time. Forever if possible ;)
I know Its still dark when we get up and dark shortly after 4! I love fall and winter except that part. hehehe!

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

Sounds like his name should have been Loki - the god of mischief.

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

That could fit the bill. My neihgbors had a few names too. ;) LOL

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

My last terv was almost named Loki but ended up Hilokee.

My dad passed away last month. He was in very bad health for the last 3 years after the stroke.. His kidneys failed. He was on dialysis for almost 2 year. He could not do anything for his self. Mom and I took care of him.

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

Harmony..... I have my coffee...I keep looking at your pic of that tree and scenery...This is my favorite tree in my front yard. They came and cut it down in Oct! I was so sad! :(

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

I am so sorry for your loss. It is always sad to loose a parent. My husbands father went through the same thing. His stroke was 2 years ago. I am sorry for you and your mom. Caring for a loved one is not easy.

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

thank you , he was ready to go. he kept asking us to "let me go"

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

sorry for your loss wren. I'm not at that stage in my life, yet, but I dread it. My mom and I are so close. I'm an only child and I feel like when the day comes that my parents pass, I will be all alone in the world.

sewincircle,
why'd they cut the tree?? it was gorgeous!

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

Sorry went out to play a minute....
They cut it down because my neighbor's daughter hit a motorcycleist while pulling out of her driveway. They boy on the bike died. They said the tree obstructed her view. She was a new driver and it was his first week on the motorcycle. It is sad the accident happened but it was just that. An accident. My family has lived in that house, now owned by my neighbors, for over 50 years and has never had a problem with the tree being there. But it was deemed an obstruction by the state troopers.
The tree was one of the largest and oldest in NY state. I got a call from the DEC after it was cut down. It was for a state record. Over 200 years old and over 20 ft around! It was a sycamore tree. It had that cool bark that looked camo. I miss it a lot!

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

ugh - that sucks. people always have to have something to blame their accidents on. I'm sorry you lost your cool tree. :-S Our neighbors have a big dogwood, it takes forever for dogwoods to get bid, so it must be old. They have mentioned a number of times that its being cut down this year. Its right on the prop line and hangs over ours. We'll miss it a lot if they do what they say they are going to.

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

Ya, they put mine on the local news and I had people calling me! I did not want the tree cut down but people blamed me anyway. I even called the ESF, DEC, and my state council, along with a lawyer, but they all said the same thing. The tree is in the right of way and there was nothing I could do. :( I hope they cahnge their minds! Dogwoods are beautiful!

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

Ok where did every one go?

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

whew! I had to go out and do an honest days worth of work. I'm working on the chickens' enclosure so that they are safe while we are away for Thanksgiving. I'll take pictures tomorrow and post. Its turning out pretty cute.
