I was sitting here and read the article on coffee and conversation and thought WOW how cool to just chat about the day.
I spent the day with my son and he helped me move my birds and give some waterers a needed cleaning. It was a very warm pleasant day and the birds were singing made me think of spring and my garden. Been thinking about turkey day and what we will have for our dinner i may bake banana bread and cook a big turkey.

Wow! your day rocked! That is a beautiful scene! Is that your yard? If there was light I would send you a pic of my white snow covered world. I love the snow. It makes everything look so clean. My day was great, no school, no work, just cleaned the house, and relaxed. I doo loovvee my coffee when I relax. Thinking about Thanksgiving too. Got everything for the pies. My sister called. She is having her baby! My nephew Dominick will be here tomorrow! I am so excited.
I hope tomorrow is another good day!

My day has been quit and peaceful except for biking with the DOG twice, playing 5 games of ball with the DOG, and playing one with the lazer light with the DOG, and cleaning up the mass when the DOG get into the trash and Chasing down the DOG and getting the large chunk of grease wild bird food away from him.

My day was stressful. I had 4 different deadlines at work converging on me at once and I felt like my entire day (6am - 6pm) was a race against the clock. I made it, but tomorrow will be another stressful one.
I was greeted at home by two lovely children, a dog, a cat, and a sweet DH. In addition a warm fire, dinner on the stove, and a clean kitchen! So that was nice. Popped open a Dunkelweizen and am beginning to unwind.
I'm also thinking about Thanksgiving. Talked to my mom about the menu. She's requested that we bring our home made cranberry sauce. DH wants to make his home made Pumpkin pie and I'm going to make my green bean casserole.
We usually get away for the holiday - we have a tradition of going to the beach with just DH, the kids and the dog, but this year our finances forced us to rethink that so we're going to my mom's. I'm looking forward to seeing her, but I'm missing the idea of my quiet Turkey Day with a stormy beach in the distance.
Love the start fish. For thanksgiving this year it will be only my DM and DB and me. My DS can not make it. We are going up to SW of Atlanta for Christmas.

Sounds like you have your hands full with that DOG -- BTW you had me going... really tried hard to figure out what DOG stood for before going on to the second sentence -- what kind of DOG is it? I love my laid back beagle. He is currently soaking up the heat from the fire. Pretty soon he'll have had enough and go outside for a bit then come back and do it all over again. ha!
Andre is a 3 year old Belgian Tervuren. Living with this breed is like living with a mischievous, hyper active, intelligent 2 year old------and they never grow out of it.

Yes that was my favorite maple tree before it lost all it's leaves i planted it 18 years ago and it was just a twig i pulled up at my cousins house.
I think I am going to bed, the demon child is finally ware out. of course I will have to fight him for the bed.

Cute dog wren, I have my fill of mischievous toddlers right now, so that is not the dog for me - ha!!
I have one only she's smaller she's a Jack/Rat and she is as hyper as they come she will literaly bounce off of me as i walk shes like a acrobat. She will bounce like a ball sometimes across the floor and nothing can outrun her she is fast as lightning.
I will trade you. He is the third of the breed to control my life. I must be crazy!!!!!!!

My day was OK. I had 7 voice mails this morning at work and it took me the whole morning to deal with them, and then I had to run to class from 12:30 to 2:30, back to work and I tried to complete a patent prosecution response but I didn't get it done in time and I'll have to do it tomorrow and pay for an extension of time. Then I went home, put on my chicken hat, went out and found 3 eggs, fed chickens, came in, checked incubators, fed baby chicks, then got changed, and we went to the mall because the department store where my paralegal works in the evenings was having a sale, so we went and bought some winter essentials (i.e. long underwear!). My paralegal puts aside for me the colors and styles that I like - she's so sweet. Then we went to Macaroni Grill for dinner on the way home because we didn't feel like cooking any more, and now we just got home and I fed the dog and went through the mail and now it's nearly time for bed.
Hopefully less voice mails tomorrow morning. I have to go to the post office on the way to work to pick up a cactus that I ordered that has arrived, then off to work, class again from 12:30 to 2:30, and then back to work as usual. Nothing going on tomorrow night so maybe I can manage to get some laundry done.
my pigeons got lost by usps today i spent the whole day till about 3 calling everywhere i could from tx to here to find them till they fineally shipped in. dang things were to be here by 3pm wed and just got here today by almost 3. all i have to say is wow, never again but fineally my babies r here and doing good. hopefully tomarrow i'll have another egg from the one pair and the other pair still nothing yet.
it has been a long hard day that is for sure and that was just the start of it.
Glad to hear they arrived silkie, sorry to hear they were so much trouble. How hard is it to just get it right when the cargo is ALIVE?!? ha!

i was wondering if mabe it was due to holiday comeing but usually alot of us r still on at least the garden sections during holidays. it's just weird i have never noticed it so much before!! i know like now most r in bed so i don't mean just tonight. but i got to crash i'm so sick and my meds r kicking in and i got to be up early so i need to get some sleep.

good morning y'all I have been around. Mom and I rambling. We went across the state to have lunch. I know strange. Went through a little spot of the map called Turkey Town, saw a few houses and some cows but no turkeys but I thought of all of y'all.

I am headed out to see my sister at the hospital (and new baby) It is freezing out. Today would be a good day to stay snuggled up inside. With coacoa! The chickens dont even want to come out. I even shoveled their area for them! I guess they agree and are awaiting the coacoa ;)

She squawks about an hour after day light, yelling to be let out of her hen house. I've been leaving them in there about 2-3 hours after daylight for them to lay, but now I can't.
I'm afraid she'll wake the neighbors. ha! Do you guys' chickens do this too???
If she wasn't laying eggs, I'd think she was a rooster, too. Look at that comb! ;-) That picture is a month old ... its even bigger and more beautiful now!

Now granted, I've never lived in your parts of the world, but I have to say, "I love the cold" as long as the sun is still shining. I hate the winters here because its wet, dreary, and dark. I went to school on the other side of this state and LOVED their winters. I can handle the snow and cold, if I've still go my sunshades on! ha!
the problem is we go up and down. A day or two (thought it has been much longer this time) of cold then a week or so of warm. The the bottom drops out a we are really cold and it shots back up. And that can happen with one day. It is not unusual to be in the low 30 in the morning and be into the 70 by afternoon.
OK, you got me on that one Wren. I don't think I could handle that. Plus, call me naive, but FLORIDA?!?! I thought you were the land of sunshine and humidity??? ;-)
Humidity YES! Sunshine most of the time. But it can get cold here. I live in north Florida very close to the GA border.
i love snow just i love to garden to much is all. plus i hate getting snowed in on the hill. i'm usually here everyday if i can be at one point or another so if i'm not posting just pm to chat too. sometimes i just think i bore ya all so i just read i don't reply,lol.
You do not bore me!!!! I find it all interesting. Just wish I could share the fun of having chickens.

In the city. They do not allow chickens beside lot to small. And I can just see the demon child herding chickens around the neighborhood.
Harmony I will be up in Ga next month. Going to visit my DS in Dallas, Ga. If you hear someone running down the road screaming, thats me. I do not want to go. Last time we where up there we nearly froze. She had the temp in the house set at 65 degrees!
