BEST/WORSE & WHAT DID I LEARN TODAY - PT.70

Victoria Harbour, ON

So enjoyed your post Gillian..you are right, it's in the opening of the gifts and seeing what our loved ones/friends thought we might enjoy and cherish..I never care if I get gifts (although it's nice) I just enjoy watching everyone so very happy...

Gillian, it must be so expensive to be shipping presents to the far north and time, would surely have to post in November?? you my dear are always what I think of as a 'stay at home' mom...you must be thrilled with all you can accomplish with the kids..the memories you are making is far beyond any wage you could get..how wonderful that the children are participating in the gift making..Kyle/Noah always came and did gifts for their grandparents/teachers etc. but now I do think that THEY think they are much too mature for that kind of thing.. sad really as I got so much enjoyment out of doing it with them...who knows, maybe I'll ask and set a date for next week as I'l working from home, they could drop in after school..if not gifts then maybe a special Christmas card....

Best get ready, never know when Suzanne will call..we have been known to shop at Walmart prior to going to work...

It's dangerous travelling with Suzanne because she's just as crazy as I am with regards to Christmas, both can get into so much mischief ..

Not much more I can get into..only 3 people to buy for..know what I'm getting it's just simply finding time when they are open to make it there..then santa can come, I'm ready for the visit...

talk later

I too love to give rather thatn get-I always try to surprise DH to see that look on his face!! I think I have a couple surprises this year!!

I loved the tote bag. Have never gotten into making those kind of things but maybe I should. Sometimes Christmas gifts just come along...I see something during the year that that says "buy me for..." and I do. But this year was hard. My three boys, 49, 47, 35 are the hardest to shop for and this year I am just out of ideas (and out of money).
So glad we are doing a stock swap as I usually don't get a stocking. Living alone I don't do one for myself but used to love finding little things for them for the the kids.

Janice, regardless of the age they are still our little ones..boys get annoyed that I go out and spend money on them ..say to do for just the little ones but I so far can't go that route..one day maybe but not this year!

So funny, Suzanne was bringing in her work case which is on wheels with all her files that she had at home on the weekend..me I'm toting one double the size with all my scrapbooking materials for making Christmas cards..so that's what I'm up to today...

Paul is just getting ready to leave for the day so I've loads of time to play...
