ME FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good morning Sistahs and Nieces.
Thought I'd get a new room going 'cause I'll be gone all day, and don't want those with dial-ups getting frustrated!

The rain soaked the grounds and we need it! The creeks are no longer dry and it's a nice welcome to the frogs.

Laura, I love your wedding band... and yes, I too love to read what pours out of your mind. At such a young age, you have a soul of a 'sufi'.

Cindy, how are you hun? I dreamt of my fur babies last night that had crossed over that rainbow bridge. They were all puppies and frolicking in this big giant field full of buttercups. I thank God, He lets me see them again.

Phyllis, have you joined your star squares? Would love to see what you've chosen for the sashes and binding.

My, my, my.... Donna and Max, you both are a very charming couple. Tristen and Tony are lucky to have you for their parents. Praying you're able to collect more before Dec. 3rd. But in the meantime, rant, rave, cry with us. We're here for you.

Yep, Deborah surprised all of us, for sure!!! Good job there!! I truly never expected something crafty like those for your first sewing projects. Now we all want to do oven mittens right?
Judy, you must still be on cloud nine!

Janice, after the holidays will be a great time to start. What size blocks are you planning for us to do. The bigger the blocks, the less the participants?

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

I can't beleive I beat even Tante Jaye!!! WOWSERS!!! That NEVER happens!!LOL

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Extra candy for your Christmas present, Stacey!! Lol!!
Or more yarn for Jade!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

LOL-NO WAY-that little turd!! I couldn't help but laugh, but then I had to untangle it all and that took FOREVER!!! Consequently put me further behind in my wreath swap:(

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

When I quilt, there's always one of the kitties that love to plop itself on the quilt. I have to beg for it to move or give it an undignified push. Now that's easy.. but when I crochet, I have to do it behind closed doors! Too old to be bending down and disentangle knotted yarn!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I got several boxes in the mail yesterday, and wanted to say Thank you.

Jaye, I love the brug cuttings, and they will be enjoyed so much next spring when they start blooming.

Phyllis, I got the box of pinecones. Thank you, now I can do more crafts!

Cindy, I got the fabric you sent for the reindeer. Thanks. I will get your box out to you today or Monday at the latest!
Cindy, if anyone can read that rainbow ridge and not reach foir the tissues, they don't have a heart! Loved it so much.

Ladies, have a great day.
LK

LOL-I can imagine!!! I have that problem no matter what I am doing-reading, crafting, on the puter-cat AND dog HAVE to be right in the middle-mu buddys wreath will most certainly have animal hair on it since they have both laid in the middle of it, on it, played with it...

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

OMG-I completely forgot-Cindy-I got the fabric-THANK YOU!!!!

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Jay and all, the mitten and pot holder I sewed on top of some I already had. I just took my old ones and cut them opened to use as the pattern and stuffing. So I really had an easy time using those as a guide. The only thing I learned afterwards was to allow for hem allowance which I did not. Judy taught me that trick. I didn't know. No wonder I had such a hard time trying to get the fabric to close up around the seams.

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Cindy, your poem choked me up too.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Stacey and LK, your welcome

Stacey how many pillows will it make for you?

Cat in the lap, yep Boo Kitty is so big that when I'm at the pc and he wants in my lap I have to scoot my chair back so he can fit between the desk and me. Then he does rolling over thing so I will scratch his ears. I think he weights 15 lbs and still growing.........

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Are you sure Boo Kitty is not a Boo Bob Cat?? 15 pounds!! That's a lot of fur!!!!!!

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Yep, Jaye, and if those ears Cindy is scratch has whiskers, Boo may be Boo Lynx.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

yep you're right Jaye, I told Rick if he doesn't quit growing he's going to as big as a Bobcat. how big do Lynx get?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

OMG... Deborah.. our new kitties, the mama that Kel rescued, are not even 6 months old, and are giants!!!!! We always thought it's because of the good kitty food they're eating. 2 of them have long hair in their ears.. do you think they're part Lynx??
Hope not.. now that they're all been neutered and spayed, they will get bigger.

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

I'm thinking Lynx are bigger than BB's.
Love long haired kitties too!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Ahhhh choooo..............
sowweee... pardon me.... excuse me....
that's what long haired kitties do to me... BUT I love them all!!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Not to change the subject here... cause kitties are a very important thing to talk about... really they are...

But, I have a question for you sistahs.

How does one eat a diet that doesn't include fiber?
Been studying up on what might help this problem I'm having, and the only thing I haven't done is cut out the fiber in my diet.. now, I'm learning that the fiber might be the one thing I'm eating that is causing the pain.
Does any one know what "doesn't" have fiber in it?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

water... clear soups.. clear juices...

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

yogart

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Anything that requires chewing, will have some fiber. If you totally abstain from fiber, your morning constitution will be short.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

LOL... so, I'm back to a liquid diet?
YUCK !!!!

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

meat

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

This is going to be awful on me... cause I really love to crunch fresh veggies, fruits... and I really love those fiberous crackers... cereals, granola... DARN... this is NOT good news.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Guess I'll just go walk around the grocery store for a while and read labels...

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Have you tried pureeing your meals into extremely small pieces?

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

I guess I could just buy baby food...huh?

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

big yuk

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

BJ, if you go on a fiberless diet, make sure you take flax seed oil.

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

good idea Jaye. Fiber is so important but flax seed oil is a wonderful replacement

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Knowing you BJ, you'll soon conquer this.
(((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

The doctor prescribed me to take one teaspoon of Benefiber a day... I drink it in my first cup of coffee each morning, and I'm not going to cut that out at this time... just going to cut out the other fibers I eat...

Have you noticed lately all the products on the grocery shelves that have "added" fiber? IT'S everywhere...

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

I'm going to try, Jaye... but it's not going to be easy to give up my comfort foods.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Cindy, I got your email.. thanks!
We're off.. and will be back much much later. Be good sistahs!

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Judy how lucky are you…..Deborah’s first sewing project and she did a fantastic job on it didn’t she?

Deborah looks like you did a beautiful job!!!

BJ, you are right in both cases…..If Laura stretches and stands really straight she can make an even 5’…Sean is exactly 18”taller. The Hearth on my fireplace is 18”. Laura was putting something on my mantle one night, she turned around, looked across the room and said “HUM, so this is what the world looks like to Sean.”

As for Sage I have told them she was meant to be Laura’s daughter, she has the same color hair, they look a lot a like and she shows so many traits that remind me of Laura at that age.

Donna, Stacey, Janice ~~~~~waving~~~~

Boo sounds like MeMeow……she’s only 14 lbs.!!!!

No Fiber????? To quote our niece “EEWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!”

Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

Afternoon all..

I cant believe it someone else who loves kitties as much as I do..LOL We cant have any inside we all rash up pretty good with long exposure but I take care of all the neighborhood cats and kittens. We have one who sneeks inside from time to time but as long as he goes back out soon I dont mind. We tried keepping him in once and he was happy but none of us were Hes a Hemmingway Orange Tabby. Now he is my garden cat and follows no matter where we go.. Tigger even loves the dog and they play together out back.. Will include a pic below Hes my Buddy.. Look at those toes...

I have to say I have never heard of a no fiber diet.. You are a brave soul taking that on, I think I would have major problems.. Im sure you will get through it..

2 questions please..

The items past everyones names on the top message.. Is that what you all collect?

Since all of you are sew may I ask you to share links for using a machine??? Beginners please I have a machine but no idea how to get it going. I hand sew alot of things, make no sew booty bags, make jewelry, and paint. Basically I love to do anything artsy.. Had thought once of tring to quilt but need to undertsand the machine first....lol

Hey Donna, the items next to are name... We were asked to list one thing we like, or collect. Some of us have posted some have not!
I will look for a thread for beginning sewing, but it is all a trial and error thing! Take some material scraps, and practice sewing some straight seams, and if you don't like it, rip it apart, and try again.
Debra, how about some input from you, you just got your machine, any words of advice from you. You just made some beautiful potholders for your first project!
